View of the open food preparation area so you can watch your food being prepared. Very clean with the cook changing his gloves often.

Decided to stop on a Sunday afternoon while out looking at the fall foliage. Our experience like most visits to Waffle House locations was Excellent! We were able to get a booth, and our waitress was with us in less than a minute despite a reasonably busy dining room. She took our order since we already knew what we wanted from past visits and grabbed our drinks. One of the things that always amazes me about dining at any Waffle House is watching the cooks. They stay busy the entire time cooking multiple orders on the grill from an extensive menu selection. I never see them write anything down but yet they are able to provide 100% order efficiency, and this visit was no different. Both my wife and I asked for variations to our order with both orders cooked precisely to our requests. Despite a full griddle our food was served in less than ten minutes. The location is clean, and the service is excellent! We would highly recommend Waffle House and this location to anyone.

Don't look too dirty to me.

Always solid food. Service is a bit slow at this location especially to clear tables and sit guests.

The same old Waffle House atmosphere. This is probably one of the most consistent diner style chains. Always good coffee.

Waffle House is usually the only place open during heavy snow. Food was as expected, but service was a bit sporadic. It's good, cheap food.

Hi, my usual 1/2 pound cheeseburger on ciabatta bread, with coleslaw and French fries. Daughter had their delicious chicken fingers with okra and french fries, and my brother had the 1/3 pound bacon cheeseburger, with coleslaw and fries, all outstanding! We glanced at other tables- the blueberry pancakes at the next table looked amazing. I hemmed and hawed but being a biscuit connoisseur, I went with the country platter. Big mistake. We both ordered platters with scrambled eggs and crispy bacon. The eggs were crunchier than the bacon. Disappointingly, the biscuit was a standard frozen foot service reheat. The winner was the French toast. And, as I paid the bill, I ordered a cinnamon roll to go. It was touted as freshly made. It was just after 8am... it was dry and unappetizing. Very disappointing experience all around. We did find the staff lovely and warm. The food didn't match their energy.

I had Prosecco, brussel sprouts (that she recommended) and the shrimp and grits. So delish! The low country boil really looked good too. The staff even pour a birthday candle in the chocolate cake we ordered since we were celebrating a birthday. Nice touch. While we were dressed up, some people were in tshirts and shorts. But most people weren't. I would definitely recommend this spot right on the square.

The waitress had an attitude and did not make any good recommendations. Anything we wanted to ask about on the menu, she would deter us from it. I noticed that her attitude got worse after the manager (or maybe he was the owner) checked on us. He was super nice, but she acted like we were bothering her from the minute we got seated. Can't remember her name but she was short and had curly hair. Anyhow, as far as the food goes - like I said the oysters were excellent. The pasta dishes we ordered were not. Shrimp carbonara was OK, pork belly just wasn't crispy as it stated on the menu. But the dish we really had an issue with was the Thai Coconut Noodles...the sauce was sooo sweet, it wasn't Thai coconut, and whoever made this never tasted Thai food in their life before. I couldn't eat the pasta at all and only ate the protein I added on top. The waitress noticed I didn't eat my food, but didn't care and just gave me a confused look as she took my plate away. I didn't even want to bother with her. Anyway, I probably would only come back for maybe appetizers if I had to and wouldn't order anything too creative on the menu - KEEP IT BASIC at this spot!

Tucked away in a small, unassuming building just off the square, the restaurant feels like a well-kept secret. In a town that draws plenty of visitors, this spot...at least for now...remains pleasantly undiscovered. Honestly, if it were any closer to the square, I suspect it would be packed to the brim every night with a wait stretching down the street. From the moment we sat down, the service set the tone. Our waitress, a student from the University of North Georgia, was exceptional...attentive, warm, and effortlessly professional. She carried herself with the kind of polish you'd expect from someone formally trained in hospitality, not someone still in school. It added a personal, genuine touch to the evening that's hard to manufacture. We both ordered the Chicken Scaloppini, and it's no exaggeration to say it is now difficult to choose anything else on our return visits. The dish was beautifully presented...pan-seared chicken breast layered with capers, sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and prosciutto, all resting alongside a rich, angle hair pasta accompaniment and topped with grated and shaved parmigiana cheese. Every element worked in harmony: bright, savory, and deeply satisfying without feeling heavy. It was the kind of plate you slow down for, not wanting it to end. Dessert was just as memorable. The chocolate divine cake, paired with vanilla ice cream and finished with a delicate flower, felt like a celebration in itself...elegant, indulgent, and the perfect closing note to the meal. Chef Paco delivers something special: refined food in an intimate, unpretentious setting, with service that elevates the entire experience. For us, it wasn't just dinner...it was a moment, and exactly the kind you hope for on an anniversary.
