Has to be the friendliest waffle house I've been to in a while! Everyone's posting these wild videos with fights and and chaos, but what a great experience. Was in town after hiking at the Falls wanted a good breakfast and was craving Waffle House so found this one , got seated quick got my coffee and tried to figure out what I wanted. The place was packed, got my familiar greeting of welcome to Waffle House by everybody when I walked in, ordered me an all-American without the waffle. Just exactly what I wanted and what I always expect! Then a little girl had a birthday and the staff called everyone to attention. Everyone was involved singing happy birthday to this very embarrassed, little redheaded girl that was so cute hiding from all the attention. Finish the song to a big applause and random people were even giving her five dollars for her birthday just to make her day! Who says the South isn't friendly anymore. I walked into this specific location, not expecting anything more than a humble diner experience. Needless to say, I was mind blown. The staff, specifically our waitress (I think spelled Shelley?) was one of the kindest people I have encountered in Georgia during my trip. The food was absolutely delicious, and completely incomparable to any IHOP experience I've had. The ambiance was superb, and service was very quick. read more

Always solid food. Service is a bit slow at this location especially to clear tables and sit guests.

This place was exactly what you would expect from a Waffle House - quick eggs, bacon, hash browns, and lunch sandwiches at rock bottom prices. The server was friendly and brought us exactly what we asked for, even a special request. The food came quickly and was good, but not going to change your life. Not a great place for the value in Dahlonega... the staff were really nice but the prices I thought were steep

Decided to stop on a Sunday afternoon while out looking at the fall foliage. Our experience like most visits to Waffle House locations was Excellent! We were able to get a booth, and our waitress was with us in less than a minute despite a reasonably busy dining room. She took our order since we already knew what we wanted from past visits and grabbed our drinks. One of the things that always amazes me about dining at any Waffle House is watching the cooks. They stay busy the entire time cooking multiple orders on the grill from an extensive menu selection. I never see them write anything down but yet they are able to provide 100% order efficiency, and this visit was no different. Both my wife and I asked for variations to our order with both orders cooked precisely to our requests. Despite a full griddle our food was served in less than ten minutes. The location is clean, and the service is excellent! We would highly recommend Waffle House and this location to anyone. read more

If I could give the night shift at this store 6 stars I would. The waitresses here on weekends are friendly and obviously care about each other and their customers. No one's neglected even if they're slammed. The way everyone fosters a sense of community makes dining in a joy. I'd trust Pat and Stephen to cook my meal any day. Delicious :) read more

Went in and ordered my usual. A vegetable Omelet. They don't make omelets. Um..ok, it is on the menu. The woman was totally disagreeable and got nastier and nastier. May I have a few mushrooms, onions, something thrown on with a couple of eggs. NO! We don't do omelets! I'll take a couple of slices of tomatoes. That was another negative. Dad said she must have been a manager, 'cause no one would hire her as friendly service. We all would have left, except dad just got out of the hospital and had to have eggs. Was served raw bacon.,Seriously. Uncooked blop of fat. Couldn't chew, tear, or bite a piece off the end. Dad finally sawed thru it with a knife, but couldn't chew it up enough to swallow it. Nearly choked to death before he spit it out. It wasn't even warm. Every year we stop by here on Christmas eve for steak dinners. Our tradition. We will NOT be doing it this year. read more

No issues for us. I just love people who join just to leave a bad "grudge " review. I've been eating here for years as it's the only one in town. Whether it's been stopping in in my big truck for a to go or a Christmas day meal never any issues. The previous review. Did you bring anything to the attention of staff to make it right? Waffle Houses can be insanely busy. Sitting here now waiting for food. Will review further once we're done. Well food got here and it was great. You can't go wrong with this Waffle House in Dahlonega at the end of Hwy 400. Love their great waffles and coffee.

The same old Waffle House atmosphere. This is probably one of the most consistent diner style chains. Always good coffee.

Most of the staff are great but there are a handful of very rude and dismissive workers who give no mind to customers especially when they are younger college students. Dining in I usually do not have a problem but every time i have gotten a to go order it has been wrong; usually something missing but still charged. I don't think this is a bad waffle house but it's just so frustrating to get an incomplete order every time. Moral of the story: check your orders before you leave the store. read more

Waffle House is usually the only place open during heavy snow. Food was as expected, but service was a bit sporadic. It's good, cheap food.

Waffle house of Dahlonega has the worse and most unedfiecient staff possible. The service has changed over the years. Last year and the years before, the service was acceptable for waffle house (i am a college student so I have been here often). The past two visit attempts I have made were absolutly awful. The first of the 2 last, I sat through it and finished my meal. I took 20 mins for someone to take our order. When we finally got our food, the orders were mixed up and completely wrong. Today, I attempted it again with a friend. We sat down;it was moderately busy. I made eye contact with a few servers and even the manager but NO ONE came to greet us or take our order. We left and will not be going back. I have witness what I described more than once with multiple groups of customers. read more

I've never been to a filthier Waffle House. Waitress sounded like she gargled razorblades. Watched the kitchen workers squeegee filthy water from the floor and not wash their hands before touching food. A piece of bacon fell onto the table as the waitress, who was definitely tweaking her eyes out, put it in front of me. She picked up the piece and said she'd get me more. She never brought more, but we left before finishing anyway because there was what looked like a pubic hair in my hash browns. That was after I put up with the filthy coffee cup - brown residue through and through on the inside of the cup. I wiped it with a napkin and it came clean... sanitizer solution doesn't work miracles, you have to use friction, too. I showed the waitress the hair in the hash browns and I said I wasn't paying for them. No apology; she took my receipt and crossed the hash browns out. And I wasn't being rude; I have managed restaurants and I give the wait staff a break. My throat hurts already and it hasn't even been 6 hours. Next time I will be driving the extra 10 minutes to go to IHOP in Dawsonville. read more

Just about the BEST waffle house I've ever been to. The staff is nice, and the food is DELICIOUS. Only thing is one of the workers likes to sing while she cooks...a little annoying, but can be entertaining at times. They have a very clean restaurant, and it's the best place for a chocolate chip waffle :) read more
