Sometimes I feel like the online ordering system with its fancy graphics and click-y options exists just to lull the customer into a false sense of power. You feel like you're creating a custom work of never-before-seen pizza excellence. You feel like you have opinions that matter and like your voice is heard and like your rights as a human being are being honored by this corporation of American strength and honor. YES to the bacon on the right half. YES to the onion on the whole thing. YES to pineapple and pepperoni and tomatoes in varying amounts I determine! WELL DONE, please with LIGHT CHEESE, oh yes, and SLATHER ON THAT EXTRA SAUCE, oh glory oh glory I WIELD THE STAFF OF PIZZA MAGIC!!! I swagger to the counter, heady with omnipotence, eyes glinting with entitlement and expectations. I cradle the pizza boxes in my arms, then lay them on my lap for a moment until I realize they are singeing my thighs, then we are home and I fling open the cardboard tops with a flourish and... What the. Some locations, like the one that rhymes with "sully", burns the bejabbers out of the pies and is extremely heavy handed in the light cheese department. Lot of cheese. Lots of blackened cheese on a blackened crust that has suffered the heat so long that all moisture has been sucked out and the crust is an American-Italian-ish manifestation of "Mad Max", but not the part in the cliffs with water, the part in the desert where there is no water at all and everything is sandy and death-causing. Without the well-done, though, and the pizza is sinking under the weight of the extra sauce. Without the extra sauce and it is just a dreadful imbalance of cheese and bread and a touch of sauce. I've tried, oh, I've tried. Another location that rhymes with "papamulu" turns these requests in a sloppy, soggy mess. The kind of pizza where you pick up a slice and it morphs into niagara falls and bacon and tomatoes and pineapple slide onto the table and things feel strangely uncooked, except for the crust which is cooked to death, and your chest bursts with feelings of rage. Pa'a street, however, does an excellent job. As though they actually read the order and make efforts towards fulfilling it. As though they CARE about what I want my pizza to be. If this my most favorite pizza on the island? No. BUT it is cheap and good and my makes my kids really enthused and my husband can pick it up on his way home from work. So sometimes it just wins. The employees where good both over the phone and when I came to pick it up. I signed up for Yelp just to post this review. I ordered a pizza online and got my confirmation email at 6:14 pm. I JUST got my pizza at 7:23 pm. Not only did my delivery take 69 minutes when I was quoted 30-40 minutes, but I also ordered (and paid for) two Ranch dipping sauces which were stuffed into the boxes so when I received them they were burning hot. I also ordered parmesan cheese and pepper flakes which I never received. I called the store at 7:14 inquiring about my pizza--I never received a call back. If you're staying at the Ohana Airport Hotel, do NOT order from this place. You can place a carry out order from Dominos in Aliamanu, pick it up and eat it by the time Papa Johns will deliver to you. This is another one of them restaurants that needs a half of star.. I'm highly disappointed.. I put an advance order in at around 10:15 am to have my food delivered to my job at 11:45 for my lunch .. I sat out side from 11:44 until 11:50 waiting on my food . Then I decided to call the store . After my 3rd try I finally got thru.. by that time i wanted a refund .. my lunch break is 30 minutes.. I wasn't going to try and woof a pizza and pop down in less than 15-20 minutes. I can actually say that the woman on the phone was kind of nice . I told her I wanted a refund . I wouldn't have time to eat. She asked for my name and said ok I refunded it.. funny thing is she didn't say .. your food was on the way... we're sending your order out now .. she didn't even apologize for my order not being delivered in time . Worst customer service anywhere... called and asked a simple question and low and behold,in typical entitled fashion, I was wrong for asking a question. I then asked to speak to a manager and of course she started that she was the manager and so I asked for the store manager and refused to give it as well as not giving her name up. She cursed at me and so I fired right back and I did tell her that if she is miserable in her current job she shouldn't take it out on customers. If she doesn't like the job, again, not my fault... if you are getting paid by someone to do a job, then do it or go somewhere else. Definitely lost my business and I had friends here that heard the whole exchange and they won't be ordering from this store as well. It's shameful that in these times there is this sense of entitlement that even though someone is being paid for a service, they feel they can do whatever they want and they are somehow right... if you are unhappy with your current employment status, take that up with yourself and maybe look in the mirror. VERY disappointed!!! Ordered online prior to store opening, for delivery at 11:30 am. It was to surprise my hubby. Figured it was enough time till he has his meeting. Nope! We had ordered 2 large pizzas, a 2 liter bottle of Pepsi, some garlic knots, and some chicken poppers tonight and was quoted a price and a deliver time. All seemed fine until about 11:15pm when we got a call saying they couldn't deliver it until about 12:30am and have yet to even cook our order. The quoted delivery time was supposed to be at about 11:25pm. So while waiting almost an hour after our order was placed they proceeded to give us the bad news and give us a few choices which didn't include us going to pick it up to get it earlier. After all was said and done my friends decided to cancel the order as we all felt we could not trust the girl who called and said that she was there alone and that she would be the one to make our order. We all felt that with her tone we may get a few "extras" on the pizzas that we did not order, if you all catch my drift. We just ordered among other things, TWELVE (12) pizzas for our company luncheon. The driver arrived with ONE (1) packet of parmesan cheese. I did not mis-write, I did not mean 1 bag---the driver gave ONE packet of parmesan cheese (enough for 1, maybe 2 SLICES of pizza) with our order of 12 pizzas. His excuse? That's all he has with him. I came down by this location randomly to carry out a Pizza order one time. I called beforehand to order a a few Pizzas and by the time I came they were pretty on it and ready with the order. It's always a good thing when you catch them at a non busy time. This is the case for any Papa John's location. As far as the Pizzas go, I like their Pizzas. Of course there are other Pizzas that I prefer but I feel that Papa Johns also have a unique taste especially the garlic sauce. I can soak any Pizza with that and it will make it the more better. The location also have some table and seating areas inside with a TV in front to watch. I thought that was pretty cool because I know that not all carry out locations have a that kind of convenience. It's conveniently located in the Mapunapuna area right near the 99 Ranch Market, Ben Franklins, and Servco Auto. Once upon a time, I would have given them zero stars. Their customer service was so awful that I haven't returned since...until yesterday. I picked up an online order for a friend. Since moving to a new location, I have ordered 2 pizzas on 2 different occasions. Both times I have been pleased by the delivery. Both times I was greeted with my fresh pizza by a super model. They both look as though they have swim suit photos in the Sport's Illustrated Swim Suit Edition. The only thing I have to gripe about is that the franchise raised the delivery charge another $0.50 making it $3. But I'm still ordering my $10 specialty pizza on my Papa John's account. Watch your total when placing orders. My husband ordered 2 large 2 topping pizzas and one of the cinnamon things. They gave him a total of over $70. She didn't use the special price she had just quoted. Then she fixed it and had a total of $60, which was still incorrect. Finally got it fixed and down to the $47 it should have been. So I looked at our card statement they charged us both the $60 and $47. The gentleman on the phone said the 60 should come off in 5-7 business days. I don't understand why they didn't credited us the $13 they over charged instead of charging us twice. read more

Worst pizza ever! We were visiting here and the hotel room had the advertisement for Papa John's pizza and they deliver. $27 for a med pizza with 3 toppings. I am not kidding there was not even one piece of pepperoni per slice, mushrooms were grated so fine, you could not even tell that they were mushrooms, tomatoes- again not even one per slice.
