Worst pizza delivery experience I have ever had. Made order via app and asked for 11:00 delivery (important because the kids have a very short lunch break), which was confirmed. I waited until 11:10 to call about the late delivery, and got to listen to an abundance of voice mail options. The robot assured me that my delivery was 4 minutes away. I called again at 11:15, and it assured me that my delivery was 4 minutes away. I tried to talk to a person, but got sent to voice mail hell again. The manager I finally got on the phone began talking over me almost immediately and would not stop talking. He told me that I had ordered for 11:15 delivery. No acknowledgment of his error, just telling me I was wrong to expect delivery when promised. I'm not sure what the $5 delivery fee is for if the store just brings your stuff when *they* decide it's convenient. Driver was rude, when he finally got here. If I could UN-tip, I would. The pizza was tasty, but I'll never order from you again, Papa John's McLean. read more

The pizzas are just okay but my kids like them so I still go there for them. The wings though are always so burnt and soggy. Do people actually like them like that, for them to keep making them as is. I wish they can be improved by not being so burnt and soggy. Nasir was a great delivery driver. I received my food 20 minutes early and was greeted with a smile.

What an absurd experience. It took three times for them to take my order, as they passed me from person to person on hold. The driver had to attempt to deliver three times, as they got the phone number and the gate code wrong twice. Eventually I had to simply wait at the gate for them, as they couldn't navigate the gate. When the pizza arrived they were cold and the order was wrong. The whole process took 90 minutes, complete with three calls to the manager. Would never order pizza from there again... read more

Store manager is a bully to her employees and her customers. She needs to get her anger controlled. I am not sure how happy the employees are here when every time we stepped into this store and always heard this woman cussing every one in every crossing. Owner needs to look into this. read more

Ordered via app. Got a Ping 10minutes later saying my order was ready. Walked in to pay for my order and the cashier behind the counter starts rambling on about how his parents were against Nazi's, and he wasn't looking forward to receiving his second vaccination???? I'm not a big Papa John's fan because I find their bread very doughy and lacks flavor. However, I'm totally in love with the papadilla! It's my new favorite thing! If only nationwide pizza chains would consider dairy free cheese. read more

This place isn't as bad as the reviews suggest. We just ordered two large pizzas and an order of bread sticks. They arrived quickly and the order was correct. No issues there. Why not five stars? Well, we ordered The Meats pizza, and although all the different types of meats were represented, there sure wasn't a lot of meat on the pizza. It was disappointing. The flavor was bland all around and the dough was chewy. What can I expect though? The price was right (just under $30). We'll order again. read more

Not so sure why the bad reviews. I ordered here regularly though the years when Dominos would be way too busy. I by no means I'm a Papa John's fan but this one particular location hits the spot. This location is incredibly clean and the staff have always been very nice. I usually do carry outs but my occasional delivery has always arrived in a timely fashion and my order always looked great. I done multiple LARGE orders with this location and they always have been able to deliver and bring tasty hot pizza. The food itself is typical Papa Johns quality however I think this location is a step up better as they seem to taste more tastier than other locations by a bit perhaps the ingredients here are a bit fresher than other locations. Overall this particular location has exceeded my expectations. read more

It's Papa Johns so you're not expecting great things, maybe just something a touch better than Dominoes or Pizza Hut. This location makes the argument for the other guys. I ordered a pepperoni pizza with extra sauce. There was literally no sauce on the pie that arrived. The cheese was bland and had a very unpleasant, non-pizza cheese like texture. Overall a waste of money and calories. McLean isn't a pizza haven, but you can do way better than this. This location was decent last century, but the future has not been kind. You take a bite and wonder if you can sue for false advertising under the whole, "Better ingredients, Better Pizza" malarky. Oh right, there was pepperoni on it, but you wouldn't know if you couldn't see it as it is flavorless. Terrible ingredients, terrible pizza, Papa Johns you just took your last 20 from me. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service. Waited close to 10 minutes to even speak to someone at the counter, even though I was first in line, and then proceeded to have to wait 30 more minutes in the store, just to pick up a to-go order that was scheduled to be ready when I got there. read more

The delivery is on the slow side - not terrible, but not as fast as Dominoes. God love you if you're driving through your neighborhood and a Dominoes delivery person is coming up behind you. The pizza is very good - a little heavy on the cheese and light on the tomato sauce but if you ask them to add some extra sauce they're always very obliging. I haven't had the bad experiences that I see in some of the other comments but then I'm friendly over the phone and most people aren't although they think they are. It's not New York City (my hometown) quality but around here neither is the Chinese food, American food, Italian food, Indian food, Thai food... It's far better than Pizza Hut - really cheddar cheese on a pizza - gross :-) It's better than Dominoes although Dominoes is faster. I also don't like the fact that the CEO of Dominoes is so far to the right that he makes the Tea Party look like liberals and he contributes heavily to his right-wing causes. If I buy from Dominoes I'm backing this guy and his causes - no thanks. I have to look at my face in the morning when I shave. read more

This location is constantly messing up my orders, i.e. Buffalo wings with NO buffalo sauce, although clearly stated '8pc bflo' on the label. Poor customer service over the phone about half of the time. The rookie, younger employees seem totally uninterested in their work and make it obvious to the public- in person and over the phone. The only exception to any part of this review is a small handful of the senior staff, whom are friendly and helpful, and seem to accept and tolerate well the fact that the rest of their staff never has it together. So first off I have been and always be a papa johns addict and recently moving from Richmond to Tyson's I was so happy they had papas here... placed our first order tonight all correct info and using our papas app.... waited an hour and I called to check on the order... phone call was EXTREMELY unprofessional "hello I placed an order an hour ago and wanting to make sure it's still being delivered"? Papa johns employee "blah blah blah blah blah whatever " and hung up the phone... not even kidding, my significant other had to call back and question of which he said he didn't know what we were talking about and that our pizza isn't getting delivered because the driver had issues finding our EXTREMELY easy and popular condo complex.... next time I will be ordering from a different store! read more

Absolute horrible customer service. Went over an hour without my delivery, I call them and the guy on the line is just rude and tells me the driver left after calling even thought they didn't call and I didn't hear them at the door. Doesn't offer any sort of resolution and just tells me it's up to the driver if they want to come back. I call back 15 minutes later and he tells me the driver will be there soon and just hangs up.
