This location sticks out from the average Papa John's. My wife went there in high winds and her pizza literally blew away and they sent her on her way with a fresh one. The service and kindness the employees showed was awesome and sets the bar high for other pizza joints on the island. The pizza was hot and tasted great, can't ask for much more than that. Will be a repeat customer when those pizza cravings hit. read more

We were glad they had finally brought Papa Johns to Mt. Vernon so we ordered a couple pizzas through the app. When partner went to pick the pizzas up they told him I had not ordered anything there! I checked the app, it showed I HAD ordered, paid and picked it up. I checked my bank account and they had already took the money out of my account. I called the manager and he looked for my order and could not find it but instead of offering to make it right, he told me I had to call the corporation to TRY and get my money back. Apparently my order went to Lake Stevens and was picked up by someone but still, no money or pizza. We won't order on line from them again, not sure we will even pick one up. I like their pizza but am very disappointed with how they handled their mistake. I guess I really want to tell people to be careful about ordering on line from them. Absolutely disgusting. The person who took my order was unpleasant and argued with me about what toppings i want. Then she put the wrong sauce on, and burnt the crust. Would never go back. Little ceasers is in same parking lot. Its a lot cheaper, tastes better, and you dont have to deal with that horrible girl. read more

DO NOT USE THE GRUB HUB ON YELP - absolute nightmare. Used it for the first time and it took forever to load, then announced my food was ready. Not only was it not ready, it didn't exist - staff told me it's a 3rd party that charges a large fee ( was not aware) and they never get the orders. Called the Grub hub customer service and sat on hold for 20 minutes due to a high volume of calls (I'll bet!), they said a refund would be in 3 to 5 days. However, while visiting my Dad on the island and staying at a local hotel - my daughter and I were hungry and she found this Papa John's very near to where we were staying - and they delivered. Ordered the Hawaiian BBQ Pizza - and it came within a very reasonable time and was the hottest delivered pizza I've ever had. It was great because ... 1. the crust was NOT burnt; 2. perfect amount of BBQ sauce to topping ratio 3. pizza was hot and fresh 4. delivery person was pleasant While I probably won't order from Papa John's in my local area - if I am ever back up on Whidbey in the Oak Harbor area - I wouldn't hesitate to order pizza from here. read more

I think when reviewing a franchise the most important factor would be that it upholds the standards you expect from that franchise. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this Papa John's, it has the quality I expect from the franchise. With that being said, I usually grade franchises on a 1 to 3 star scale with the exception of sit down restaurants. Papa John's has great pizza, and if you utilize the website you can build your pizza and place the order entirely online. If you like Papa John's pizza you will not be dissapointed! read more

My wife and I have had Papa johns pizza in the past, then we moved to a new area where there was no Papa John's. We were excited when they opened here. Last night we had pizza delivered and were never more disappointed. The crust was huge around the edge and took up over a third of the pizza. Had a lot of sauce but very little of anything else. Even my 15 year old daughter who loves pizza took 2 bites, then made a PBJ for dinner. Strongly recommend that don't waste your money or time. read more

They have decided to use Door Dash without informing the customers At Oak Harbor WA. Door Dash after 80 minutes still no delivery. Called had to cancel order got refund from nice staff. Sure hope their corporate goes back to local delivery drivers. I was a fan of Papa Johns until I went in to the Oak Harbor location about a week ago. I went up to the register and the girl who noticed me was too busy texting on her phone. She then signaled to another worker to come help me and he then signaled to her to come help me. It went back and forth until he finally came to help. He seemed busier than she did at the time, so I made more sense for her to help me. She was literally just standing there texting and decided that she didn't want to come assist us. When the guy finally came over he was great, but I had already decided that I wasn't going to be purchasing from them that night... or ever again. Very disappointed in the service. read more

Their dough always tastes fresh, and they aren't skimpy with their cheese and meat toppings. We typically use their one-topping carryout special to get a pizza to split on busy weekday evenings. We ordered delivery tonight and the driver showed up only to go next door. I went to grab chairs in the other room on belief that the driver would figure out they went to the wrong house, but low and behold they returned to their car and as I returned to the front room, they were driving off. Our house is clearly marked. I am sure our contact info was on the boxes, yet no attempt was made to contact us for clarification of address. Our dinner was over 30 minutes late, which was pre-ordered over three hours prior. We had to go to the store to talk with staff to get answers and a driver to return delivery. This place is horrible! I ordered from them and got charged 2 times! I called the store and they were so rude. Told them i got charged two times they put me on hold in mid sentence. Took the manager 5 mins to take me off hold. Then he his talking to someone elses while im on the phone trying to caculate my total several times! I keep asking what he was doing and no response! After 10 mins of him trying to add up my total which wouldn't be $47! I got mad and tried asking what they are doing? Why know one is talking to me about it they are talking among themselves? They finally take me off hold after another 5 mins to tell me they can't do anything. And give me there helpline number! Why they didn't give me that at the begining is baffling! I asked them for there suprvisers number to be put on hold agian for another 4 minutes. They take me off hold to tell me they can not give me supervisers number that i just have to call help line! When i get off phone with the store its already been 30 minutes! I call helpline lady was nice understanded my fusteration. But has to call store to make sure she got totals right. Takes me off hold to put me back then tells me she needs to call store agian to see if manager will allow a refund! Why couldn't he offer me the refund when i called them instead for being so rude!
