I've been eating at and raving about Papa Murphy's for years. The pizza here is always been super delicious. Today I went and picked up two pizzas and it wasn't good at all. The crust was rock hard, the cheese was nearly non existent and they put barely any other toppings on it at all. What a joke! I won't be going back again. I would eat a little frozen Totino's pizza any day over this garbage now that they stopped putting the right amount stuff on their pizzas. read more

I ordered online 10 am to have my order ready at 330 for pickup and once I went in they couldn't find my order and then I had to show the order "then they found it" on top of that it wasn't even made so I had to wait more time than I wanted what is the point to have a schedule pickup time when they are not even having any orders ready on time. Not bad, I'm at that age where I just can't do the major fast food pizza chains anymore but the alternative to that is usually a more expensive place, which sometimes doesn't even equate to a better-quality pizza. It's far from the best pizza I ever had I would place it similar to a Costco pizza, but for the price I was impressed. Upon walking in, you're greeted by the staff and you'll notice that there are no tables around but a small area to sit. To the right, there's a "pizza making bar" with a splash guard and a small refrigerated area where you can pick up cheesy garlic bread sticks, cookies or salads. The place is very clean and the concept is actually pretty cool! So you come in and the menu is on the wall, you pick your pizza and order and pay for it at the register, then once you've paid, you can watch them prepare your pizza, take it home and bake it! The only thing that sucks is that they really measure the exact amount of meat/cheese/veggies to the T. My husband and I got a thin large pizza that is half cowboy and half chicken garlic. On my husbands half, it hand about 10 small pieces of sausage and about 10 slices of pepperoni as well. My half of the pizza had 1/4 of a cup of chicken on it with a white garlic sauce. When my husband and I got home, we quickly preheated the oven and threw it in there to bake along with the 1/4 pound of cheese garlic bread! Both items baked came out perfectly! The crust of the thin pizza was amazing and crispy and the cheesy garlic bread has this amazing stringiness to it! You can tell their food is prepared fresh! All in all, it was delicious and we will definitely be coming back- especially on Tuesdays since a large pizza is $10.00!!! read more

Today I was looking for a gift for my father's 79th birthday. Papa Murphy's is one Restrant that he likes. I called one location to ask if they sold gift cards. The answer that I got was yes but they were unable to help me because no one there knew how to activate them. I then called the Decatur location and initially got a similar answer. I had given up on the idea when my phone rang. I answered and Anne said she had been working on the register and thought that she was comfortable selling me a card. I thanked her and said I would make the trip to come see her. A few minutes later she called me back advised me she had gotten ahold of her manager and she was sure she could do the transaction however the card had to be paid for in cash. She just wanted to let me know so I had a chance to grab cash on the way in. I was so blown away in this world of crap customer service Anne was amazing. Had a chance to try their freshly made pizza. It nice to know that we can get fresh pizza and be able to bake them when ever we need them. Price is decent. Sauce is good, it is on the tangy side but with all that cheese, helps. They do add a lot of cheese, which I love. I also got the garlic bread which was also decent in size and just $5 bucks. I like the fact that i can walk in and order a pizza that i like the way i want it and with all the fresh toppings that they have it was cool to see them prepare it. Every pizza topping was measured precisely and took it home to bake and within 20 min i had a fresh pizza. the only downside is it isnt something thats going to WOW you its pretty basic. Angus Steak n Garlic Thin Crust (4/5)- This pizza was actually pretty Delish!! They Put steak cheesefresh garlic and green onions on top. Great Flavor I reccomend this pizza to anyone. Half Pepperoni/ Half Hawaiian regular crust(2/5)- This pizza really sucked i did not enjoy it at all i think the pizza dough just didnt do it for me. Its hard to go wrong with classics but i think if i got it deep dish or thin it would be better. Overall this place has its ups and downs. The good thing is its better than going to the supermarket and getting a pie. But the bad thing is you can get a Pizza Hut pizza for just about the same price and you know its going to be they way you expect it. Ordered a pizza online for pick up, went to the drive through and when picking up noticed some of the toppings weren't on top of the pizza so I walked it to ask just so I wasn't charged extra due to it being a customized pizza.. well I walk in and the lady working there was very rude and looked right at me and assured me the toppings were in the middle of the pizza and not on top (stuffed pizza). Get home to cook and eat it and none of the extra toppings that were $7 extra dollars were even in the pizza.. I don't really care about the toppings it's just for the fact that it was just easier to lie to me to get me to leave.. not sure if I'll be going back here, kinda disappointed. If I'm ordering take out it normally means I'm too lazy to cook or clean at that. So when it comes to a take and bake pizza that's not the first thing I think about. But recently a relative got pizza from Papa Murphy's and i was addicted to their Mediterranean chicken thin crust pizza. So I went back and ordered just that a large size $14 uncooked and a deal for the BBQ pizza $11 for a large upsize to family size for an extra $2 not bad and a Papas favorite. That one had to much topping to where we had to throw it back into the oven twice to get it fully cooked. I mean I like extra topping I just didn't want to cook it. Any how on the plus size it was good and hot on the bad size you still pay premium price and you have to take it home and cook it. Me I rather order Pizza Hut and get it got delivered and ready to eat for the same price or maybe less. This place had nice staff and the shop was clean I will go back when they have specials because those are good for the belly and the wallet! read more
