You cannot go wrong with this place. They have the best ingredients anywhere! I put their mozzarella up against anyone else's cheese. Fresh good ingredients. I like to follow their directions for a crisp crust. Outstanding ! it crunches when you bite into it! Nowhere in the KC area can I get a crunchy crisp crust like this. Outstanding! Preheat your pizza stones at 375 degrees for a minimum of 50 minutes prior to cooking. yes it's a bit of trouble, but that wonderful Papa Murphy crust is the best in this town. They make this pizza dough fresh each day. All of the better pizza parlors in our area that I know use frozen dough. NOT as good. If you can find better, go for it. I can't. read more

This is a new store in the Lee's Summit market and just opened about a month ago. It is now the closest store to my home and I was excited to learn that I didn't have to drive across town for pizza. Tonight's vist was on a Saturday night about 5 pm - the dinner hour. The parking lot was packed, there were people waiting in the store to pick up their pizza's. The workers, some were new and still learning their jobs. The woman that rang me up was learning how to do the discount coupon. The line was busy the whole time I was in the store. Watching pizzas be made is great becasue you can see how fresh the ingredents are. The workers, were friendly, even with the pressure of customers wanting their orders now. Some customers thought that the crew was disorganized. I thought the crew was busy and those customers with 'problems' were handled by management fairly and quietly. I thought my wait time, considering that there were customers waiting ahead of me and call in or internet orders coming in for pick ups was not unreasonable. This store seems to do a lot of call in and internet order business, as many folks were waiting for their called in and internet orders. Since this is a take and bake store, I prefer to go in and watch them make my pizza's while I wait. Why do I like Papa Murphy's. I like it because the ingredents are fresh. I get to see what I am going to be cooking and baking the pizza at home makes my house smell yummy. The cost difference between Papa Murphy's and delivery is worth it as I usually save up to ten dollars over comparable pizza's. Papa Murphy's also offers fresh...did I say fresh...salads and cookie dough. They have perks for their frequent customers and this is a great place for pizza for those who like to watch their budget. read more

Busy. I have no Papa Murphy's anywhere near me, so I decided I wanted to go on Halloween for the Jack o lantern pizza. I got there and there were atleast 15 people crammed in this little spot, with over 9 employees making pizzas at record speed.I over heard a customer saying "They are always busy, like on high school football nights, holidays, Chiefs games. Always busy." Well, they closed the one a little closer to me, so when I want Papa Murphy's this one is remotely located. You have to drive for it. I can't explain where this one is, south (very south) I- 291, Garmen found it. Parking is little. People were parking at the CVS (I think it was CVS), and walking. That's how packed it was. For pizza, there's so many options, and at this location, call y our order in first. It's faster and easier. The options are over whelming. The ordering area isn't under the menu. So, I made the mistake of not looking at the menu. OH my pizza goodness some of those pizzas the other customers bought looked really good. ' The pack the ingredients and toppings on, not being greedy. You take it home, oven at the instructions, and cook it. I love it that they come in a bakeable pan. This isn't a location I would go to frequently, cause it's quite a drive.But it's delicious. Next time, I'll call in my order, and be smart. read more

This is a great location, so I don't know what the fuss is all about. Yes it's busy, but that's because it is that good. Of course Fridays and Saturdays are crazy, sometimes their Tuesday $10 specials can be a bit hectic, but I know that coming in. The pizza is and if you can't cook it that night, you can save it in the fridge for two days! The only down side that I can say about service is that most of the employees are teenagers, and maybe a few older people. But, like any fast food joint, teenagers aren't very experienced with fast service and occasionally will talk to one another and whatnot. Patience is key for great pizza. I ordered three pizzas and waited only to be given two. When I said "I ordered three pizzas" the employee snapped back with "No you ordered two!" I repeated my full order to her and she said "Well you'll have to pay for it because I only charged you for two." I said "Okay I kind of wish I had gotten a receipt then." She came over reached in the trash and said "Here!" then stormed off. When I called to complain about the poor customer service the manager Joanna was very rude and standoffish. She said "I don't see what the problem is. You got your three pizzas didn't you?" Then when I tried to talk she cut me off with "You got your receipt didn't you?" I hung up and contacted the owner. He said he would talk to her but at this point no matter what happens I will never go back. read more

I ordered Pizza online at 4:45pm. I arrived 30 minutes later. One of my three pizzas were made. I waited 50 minutes in the store for the other two pizzas to be created. It took Papa Murphy employees 1.20 hr to make 3 pizzas........ as I waited many customers came in. Most were without preordering. Customers who were ordering on the spot were receiving their pizzas before the online orders or call in's. VERY VERY poor operation. POOR STRUCTURE. Wow. Terrible terrible terrible service. Next time I'll go get my pizzas two hours after ordering online or calling in just to make sure that doesn't happen again. read more

Replaces Little Ceasars in the $5 pizza market, but then again it's a $5 pizza. Good to grab and go for a Friday night kick back at home kind of night. Not so good if you're looking to impress someone. Nonetheless, a decent pizza for the nice price. read more

I love Papa Murphys, but not this one. And of course, this is the closest one to me. Twice I've called in my order, only to show up and find out they lost it. This second time they were packed, but I promised the kids, so I placed the order again and went outside to wait. Way too many people packed in that tiny place. While outside I looked at my receipt and saw she had rung up the wrong pizza, one with spicy sausage not suited to toddlers. I went in and asked that they change it. After another 15min I asked if my order was being made and they said yes. 5 min later they start calling out for whoever ordered the sausage pizza. I asked if that was the mistake pizza that should have been changed. I was ignored by the girl that rung me up and the manager. Finally a teenage boy asked what I ordered and made my pie. No apologies from anyone. 30 minutes to pick up a pizza I called in. Ridiculous. read more

Complete lack of organization. Ideally there would be 2 - lines, 1 for call aheads and one for people placing orders - that is not the case here. The pizza is good but the headache of standing in a line 15 deep while people place orders is crazy. read more

Best Papa Murphy's! Friendly staff to greet you and take the time to help you make your selection whether ordering over the phone or in person. Wait time is short if you haven't phoned in. And, it's fun to watch them make your pizza while you wait. Sure, they may be busy but that's another good sign of Quality. It is well worth the wait and little extra time it may take. read more

Awful. I normally use the Blue Springs South location, but I was shopping in Lee's Summit and this was on the way home. It was $10 Tuesday, but even so, I didn't expect such a long line. After getting to the register, the cashier was totally confused and slightly put out at what I never have a problem ordering in B.S. I wanted 3 toppings on the entire pizza, then the remaining 2 were different for each half. There were other half and half pizzas being ordered, but apparently my request was unheard of in these parts. I was embarrassed to be holding up the line and visibly baffling the cashier. He finally wrote it out and even explained it to the first kid in the pizza production line (who gave an eyeroll, even though I was standing right there). Some people were complaining about having to stand in line even though they had called in their order, and the girl at the end of the production line sent one such lady into the long line, then promptly opened up her register and took others before her. Another man snapped at her several times that she had just sent him to the long line and then opens her register. Whatever. Here's the main problem. My pizza is finally ready, I take it and drive home, oven is preheated... I unwrap my pizza, and there's nothing on it but the 2 toppings on each side that were different. No tomatoes, onions, or peppers, which make the pizza delicious to us. Not only that, but the family size dough didn't come out to the edges and wasn't much bigger than the large size. I know that I just sound like a big complainer, but I'm not normally. At this point, I was just flat angry. But I did wait until today to write this, so I'm over it. Just will NEVER go back to that location again. Surprising for such a generally classy town. read more
