Corporate Italian Fast Food that actually Tastes Good! It had been a while since I had checked out our local Sarpino's and have moved it back into the rotation. Looking for something different the other night I suddenly remembered Sarpino's was less than a mile and a half away and did not charge a delivery fee. I also remembered that my late father-in-law really liked their sandwiches. The next thing I knew, I had pulled up their website. COVID-19 Considerations: No sit down or outdoor dining, Curbside delivery, and their own free delivery, Employees wear masks and gloves, and I could see through their windows that everyone not actually producing was sanitizing, We both opted for Calzones (a New York Deli and a Traditional Italian) with their standard sauce (it is a bit spicy and has a good flavor), Using their online ordering and order tracking, I could see that they had beat their estimated availability time by ten minutes! Out of the garage and up 291 I arrived less than 5 minutes later. A warm greeting and two boxes came into my window. Getting home I first noticed that the Calzones were still very warm, and upsizing them to large (an uncharge of $2) they were actually pretty! And while I do know of a couple of independent family owned restaurants with a bit better calzones, ours were still top notch. After my online checkin, my daughter-in-law posted that she and my son had been hitting their vegan menu pretty hard and were recommending it to all their vegan friends. Hubby and I ordered pizza from Sarpino's for dinner tonight. Setting up an online account was easy. I was able to place my order on-line and make our selections with ease. We ordered the Vegetarian Pizza, without the pineapple. The online ordering made it easy to add or subtract ingredients from their standard pizza recipes. The menu was huge and we also ordered a half BLT pizza and half Chicken Pesto pizza. Cheese sticks and a spinach salad. Delivery was as promised by the return text message and considering it was a Friday night at the dinner hour, the five minutes off from the promised time was acceptable. We could pay online and tip with cash. The food was yummy. The large pizza is 14 inches and worth every penny. The ingredients were fresh and delish. We have lots of left overs and look forward to eating them for the rest of the weekend. Fast, fresh, and no hassles. I think I have found my new go to pizza delivery. read more

Opened the box and our cheese pizza looked like the driver ran over it. Lost appetite just looking at it. This is the 3rd time i've had to deal with this business in an unfortunate way- and it's also my LAST. I would give this negative stars if i could! Fist off the woman that took our order was short and acted like she didn't even want to work there. So I'm going to say she was rude. Love their food for a quick meal and their customer service. The Italian sandwich is my favorite. My husband likes their NY deli pizza. We ordered BBQ and buffalo wings tonight for delivery and they suggested the combo because it was cheaper. We assumed the BBQ and buffalo would be in separate containers but were combined which posed a problem when trying to identify which was which-our daughter only likes the BBQ. Sarpino's is just what I have been looking for in a pizza place. Awesome ingredient choices, free delivery, and really, really tasty ingredients. We've ordered from the lee's summit location 4 times and tried something different each time. While they don't put a ton of toppings on, the stuff they do put on is top quality and one you take a bite the worry of not having enough toppings fades away. When I say good toppings, I mean big slices of meats - not crumbled brown bits. Fresh veggies that look like a person actually cut them right before they went on the pizza. Awesome cheese blends. Perfect sauce. There are very good specials online and they give a discount for ordering online. It seems to always take about an hour for delivery, but the pizza is hot and fresh when it gets to my door and we are on the opposite end of town from the shop on 291. They send you text messages when your order has been received and again when your pie is out for delivery. The drivers are nice and I enjoy tipping well when there is no delivery fee!! We're excited to have Sarpino's in town. I hope they stay around for a very long time! read more

Ordered a pizza from Sarpino's the night of a big snow storm. These were the only people with enough guts to stay open and deliver. Literally everything else was closed in LS except QT and Hyvee. After moving from MN I have lots of respect for them staying open. The pizza took a lot longer than we anticipated (because of the snow) so I called them and asked them to cancel our order. They cheerfully canceled the order and credited me the money. Then they delivered the pizza anyway with apologies. Very, very classy if you ask me. We ordered sausage pizza and it was delicious. The best pizza for delivery out of here, Papa John's, and Dominos. They are a little light on sauce, but if you specify extra sauce when you order, it has about the right amount. So no problem. They are a little skimpy on toppings. Not terrible, but not generous. Tasty. The best of the options I've found in Lee's Summit, though, and other than one time, their delivery has always been super speedy. One time out of probably the dozen times I've ordered from them, the guy took 45 min to get to my house. When I called to inquire, they apologized and said it was a new driver's first day. Ok, I can overlook being late once. I've had first days myself. No biggie. I probably still like Rosati's better, but as far as I know we don't have one in LS, so this is as good as it gets for now locally. read more

Extremely overpriced! Very similar to other chain, carryout pizza places. Sliced sausage instead of crumbles. The crust is bland. They offer a wide variety of specialty and gourmet (what's the difference?) pizzas but nothing that seemed appetizing. Their supreme has baby shrimp on it. The pizza would be fair for $10-12 but a large is $21! Double what it should be! For that price, they should separate themselves from Pizza Hut and the Papa's. read more

Tried Sarpino's for the first time tonight. I indicated it was my first time when I walked in. I asked a few questions about entrées, and decided on trying their lasagna. There were three lasagna sauces to choose from; meat sauce, vegetable sauce and Alfredo. I asked if I could try half meat sauce and half Alfredo. No problem. I upgraded my breadsticks to Cheese sticks for an additional dollar. Just got home ready to enjoy my lasagna and, in the first bite, was a large piece of green pepper. Couldn't get rid of it fast enough. All the red sauce, even areas without pieces of green pepper in it, tasted like green pepper. Clearly green peppers are cooked in the sauce. Horrible in my opinion. Green peppers are exactly why I did not order their VEGETABLE sauce. I just called them to suggest they mention their meat sauce has green peppers cooked in it. No way to escape that taste at all. I spoke to a young man named Sean. He was nice, apologized, and told me it was Sarpino's recipe and it required using green peppers in the MEAT sauce. He said he would pass my suggestion to disclose the usage of green peppers along. Great. 10 bucks down the drain for me and a lesson learned to avoid all Sarpinos as apparently both of their red sauces will taste like green peppers. What a disappointment. read more

Our stand by for pizza has always been papa murphys because of both the price point and quality. the big chain delivery guys can never seem to get an order right and the quality is always below average. Love and under done pizza? Admire horrible customer service? Dream for an owner who doesn't apologize for his employees mistakes nor the inconvenience? THEN SARPINOS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!! About 3 weeks ago me and my man ordered a pizza from Sarpinos. We got a half and half pizza where not only was one half completely wrong the whole pizza was undone. Instantly the next morning we got into contact with a manager and they assured us that this issue would be immediately taken care of. After 5 days with no money return we called again. We got a driver who said the manager was unavailable but he will pass the info, name, and number Along. After another 3 days with no contacts with them we called again. This time it was another manager, a young lady, who told us that our order still hasn't been canceled and due to how long ago it was she is unable to void it so Dough the wonder would have to contact us. After another 4 days we tried to contact them again but Dough was never available when we called. After about 5 days we both went up to Sarpinos to a Female blond manager who I had a HORRIBLE stink attitude from the time we walked in. After 5 minutes of hearing her make excuses to why we weren't contacted, why we couldn't get an email or other way to contact the owner, or our refund we asked her to call him herself. Upon Dough getting on the phone we asked why this has taken so long and no one has apologized nor communicated this issue he told us "well since you were so unsatisfied you can take your business somewhere else." So we agreed asked for our money back and hung up. After another 3 days we finally got our money back. Thank you Sarpinos for recommending I take my business elsewhere.
