I've ALWAYS had good service from their crew even during rush times before Games on TV or Fridays when it's really busy.

No reservations. There was 1 spot open in the small dedicated lot and then I found a spot on the street. Recommend coming in fewer vehicles if possible. No reservation at peak dinner time (5:30) on a Wednesday, the host (and manager?) found a spot for us promptly anyway and he was super kind and our server for the night. Preschooler was asleep in my arms, but we made it work. We ordered: 1 rose cider (sweet but not too sweet), 1 pulpo (grilled octopus!) starter, 1 boscaiola pasta for the preschooler (boxed leftovers), 1 spring ravioli (more Italian name), and 1 rabbit with polenta entree. Each main came with salad and meal started with bread and whipped butter. We were offered a kid menu option of pasta with alfredo, marinara, or bolognese sauce, but opted for normal menu so we could bring back leftovers. We loved the pulpo and the salads (they offered to box up the preschoolers salad since she was still sleeping). Kid enjoyed the bread. Bit of a wait for mains but nothing out of the ordinary. All the dishes we ordered were delicious. Boscaiola was a hit with the kiddo since she loves pasta and sauce and mushrooms and cheese. Husband thought his main was really good. I was so full after eating all of my ravioli. Really impressed with the quality of food and the level of service. A busy place, but as mentioned, we were luckily seated right away. We're thrilled to have finally made it here after our old Italian standby in proctor shutdown and we can't wait to come back! Definitely recommend. Parking: you can find it, not plentiful but not bad either. Kid friendly: sort of! If your kid likes pizza or pasta!

We ordered the Seasonal Contorno and the pork belly appetizer, both full of rich, balanced flavor. We also had the gluten‑free Salumi pizza, and it was exceptional-- one of the best gluten‑free pizzas I've had anywhere. The warm, intimate atmosphere made the night feel special. If you're looking for the best Italian in Tacoma, Marzano should be at the top of your list. Plenty of gluten-free options. Have street parking and small parking lot.

It was perfectly baked, loaded with flavor, and absolutely delicious. I ended up finishing an entire pizza by myself over the course of two days--not my proudest moment, but it was just that good! Somebody stop me! A month later, on a Friday when I had the weekend free, I decided to treat myself to a large pepperoni and mushroom pizza along with an ice-cold Modelo. The pizza was every bit as amazing as the first time. Honestly, I haven't even bothered trying any other pizza places in Tacoma because this one has been so consistently good. This time I picked up my order in person, and the customer service was excellent. The young man working was friendly, welcoming, and very informative. The atmosphere inside was relaxed and inviting, and I learned they have live music throughout the week. I only wish I lived within walking distance so I could stop by more often to enjoy the bands. I'll definitely be back at least one more time before I leave Tacoma in August. If you're looking for great pizza, friendly service, and a cool neighborhood vibe, Slice of Life Pizza is a must-visit!

Had a friend say the sandwich selection was great but didn't try those. They also had pizza by the slice.

The best thing to do is to get your coordinates through GPS in order to get to the restaurant. Our experience with the pizza was good. It was solid, tasty and enjoyable. No issues with that at all. We got the Six Corners Pizza which has red sauce, mozzarella, sausage, ham, pepperoni, mushrooms and green pepper. The pizza was quite good and we got a 12" thin sliced pizza. We were thinking of getting a deep crust but was told for that order it would be 45 minutes to have it made so instead we went in the direction of the thin crust. While the service was good some unusual stuff was going on. The door was wide open but the sign was still switched to "off" or closed. The business was operating but not with a full staff as we were told and with what a sign said. Another customer mentioned this to them and it sounded like the sign was deliberately switched to "closed". I imagine so less customers would come in but it didn't deter many. By the time we left the sign was switched to "open". So all of that was unusual but other than that it was a good experience.
