Went here last weekend for a Birthday Party and wow, did not even know how big and cool this Pizza place is! Even though it was raining sporadically, the guests seem to enjoy themselves as families and friends are making it happen to have a quality time with great food and drinks. The place is really clean and the staff was very friendly and welcoming indeed. The World Cup coverage was going on too, so many customers were present. The pizzas were delicious, I think I had 4 slices and a Yuengling draft and Coke, and no I forgot to take photos of what I ate lol I heard the Chicken Wings are delicious here, so that is an excuse to come back soon at this location. read more

I moved from California to Jacksonville/St Augustine in 2016. For some reason, I have never been compelled to try V pizza. No real reason, it just didn't call to me. Lately I've been seeing a lot of good reviews, so I decided to give it a try. I went to the one in Mandarin and my oh my was I blown away. It was such a cool place. The outside seating with live music and the kids play area totally caught me off guard because I have driven by there 1000 times and never realized that it was so big. It definitely does not look so from the front. When I ordered, they asked me if it was my first time, and I said yes. I ordered the Calabrian wings and the V Special wings and a pie. They brought us out a Stromboli. We explained that we didn't order it, but they said because it was our first time it was on the house. I thought that was such an amazing gesture that you just don't see anymore. The Stromboli was out of this world. Then they brought the wings. My favorite wings since I've arrived in Florida. I've always been at gators dockside. I still love them, but these wings are definitely my favorite by far. That was surprising to say the least. They brought the pizza and I will say that it was good but not great. But all in all, the experience was outstanding and definitely a surprise. My son & DIL recommended V Pizza when we were visiting in mid-December; they had a holiday party to attend that Saturday night & we were on our own for dinner. We found out later that they were suggesting the V Pizza in Town Center on Gate Pkwy, but both Google Maps & Apple Maps directed us west along Julington Creek to the Mandarin location which is actually closer to Bartram Park. Thoroughly loved the loud neighborhood vibe here! First, be warned that parking is difficult. Probably a testament to V Pizza's popularity, but the struggle for a spot is real. As a result, we were not surprised with a 15-minute queue at the counter to place our order. However, finding a table was easy, and our subsequent wait for food was minimal. And, wow! I chose the Delle Donne pizza & thought it was fantastic! I loved the crust, and the toppings were perfectly proportioned. Hubs was not as enamored, but liked it enough to want to return to try other pies. He also ordered 5 wings & those were a hit for him. I ordered a couple of Stella drafts for us from the bar (I think I remember that the price was great), and kept a tab open though we didn't really need it. However, when I went to close out & pay, I spotted a seasonal Aardwolf beer on tap. Since that's where the *kids* had gone for their holiday party, I had to try it. I wish I'd noted the name of the brew because it was so tasty! But also heavy & the pour was substantial... I was grateful that hubs helped me finish it. I want to mention the ambiance again because this V Pizza felt like that local pizza joint where everyone goes to hang out & enjoy a great pizza with a crisp beer. Inside was rather loud but that added to the casual vibe. We definitely plan to return! Delicious food, family, friendly atmosphere (full of music and children playing), and friendly service... what's not to like?!?! We spent about $50 on the two pizzas (but they were well worth it). The pizza was hot and fresh and not dried out. My mother who is in town (originally from New Jersey) was very impressed with the quality of the pizza (a lot of places overcook the pizza and it is left dry). We also ordered a sour beer (I can't remember what it was but it was tasty) and a Chardonnay from the bar. They had a decent selection of beer on tap. - I think I heard someone saying that they do not carry hard liquor. We frequent the V Pizza in Fleming Island and we thought we would try this location. Upon arrival, it was very slow, it was 4:30pm on a Thursday. We walked in and nobody greeted us or acknowledged our presence. We went to the unmanned register, then walked around to the bar, nobody there either. We walked up to a cook and asked where to order, she sent us back to the unmanned register. Someone happened to be clocking in, who said he works in the back, he said he would take our order, finally. All of staff was very nice when spoken to, but it would make a big difference if someone had said, "hello", "welcome to VPizza" or "we will be right with you". We sat outside, all of the tables were filthy, food particles all over the place. Clearly nobody is on cleaning duty. We went to the bar to order drinks and discovered it was beer and wine only. No full bar like the Fleming location. We got our pizza in good time considering no other patrons were there yet. The pizza was on point and equivalent in taste to their other location, displaying consistency in quality. The wings were very large, and the flavor was decent. The staff member that brought our wings needed room on the table so we cleared a pizza pan for her to take but she just walked away without it. Unusual. Overall, the outdoor area had a much better play area for the kids, the food was great, the only thing lacking was customer service. This review is specifically for Monday Burger Day. We genuinely love V Pizza and regularly enjoy their pizza and wings -- this isn't about those. We visited the restaurant on a Monday around 11:30 AM. Only 1-2 tables were occupied at the time. We placed an order for three burgers, one of them the "Mexican" burger. After waiting about 30 minutes -- despite the restaurant being mostly empty -- a staff member came over to let us know they were out of jalapeños (on Burger Monday, before noon). About 10-15 minutes later, the burgers finally arrived. Unfortunately, the long wait was just the beginning of a disappointing experience. All three burgers were overcooked, dry, and lacking flavor. The Mexican burger, which was supposed to come with pico de gallo, instead had a cheese sauce and what seemed like guacamole. The bun completely fell apart -- its texture resembled a biscuit, and not in a good way. When we asked a server for a replacement bun, we were told they were out. Again, this was barely noon on Burger Monday, and they had only just opened at 11. The "special" potato salad came in a tiny container and wasn't memorable. The only highlight of the meal was the arugula salad with balsamic and pecorino (I believe) -- fresh and flavorful. We remain fans of V Pizza for their pizza and wings, but we wouldn't return for burgers again. read more

Now going to be late for work and they got my order wrong but I don't even have time to go in there and let them correct it. kind of ridiculous they ask you to donate money and a tip where they make you do everything. Dont order here unless you have all day to wait for your food, budget extra time too for them getting your order wrong. We decided to give this location a try so we could check out their tap garden. I met hubby after work for beer, wings and pizza on a Friday night. He requested a table in the tap garden. With the live music out there, it was a total vibe! We ordered the v signature wings and a pizza with pepperoni and sausage. As usual, everything was amazing. Love Vs Pizza, this is the spot I like to come with friends and kids, they have a huge playground area for kids to run around and get dirty while we get to have some good food, beer and enjoy our time. This place is packed during dinner time on the weekends, sometimes the wait for food can be up to 40-50 minutes, but the food is amazing! We love getting the Carnivora, Mac Attack and Ala di Pollo pizzas, their Vs signature wings are to die for they are cooked in the stone oven and get charred just right! I am just commenting on the food, or more specifically ....pizza. Pepperoni Pizza - pepperoni was good, but very lightly sauced and undercooked. Margarita Pizza - cheese, fresh basil, toppings were on point. The pizza itself was undercooked and the spices you get at other locations were just not there. While the dining room is light and airy, there are very few outside lights so the exterior signage is easy to miss. So look for the red V when you are in the area. But with well lit places like Picasso's and Bella Vista nearby, you may want to consider other options. read more

Up in Jacksonville today hear nice things about V Pizza so was excited to try it since I was in JAX on San Jose Blvd. plus just saw the Facebook post and info about the weekly special- Ultimate Pie. Warmly welcomed when we arrived- very helpful staff as we reviewed their many options. Plenty of parking. Ordered a 10" lunch special- yep the "Ultimate Pie" with a couple of drinks and two house side salads. Side salads did not have much in the container - a couple of sliced cherry tomatoes and a small handful of greens. The salad and drink on my lunch special cost $1.25 & $2.20. Since we shared the pizza my wife was charged $6.50 for her salad and $2.50 for the drink. It's the least amount of salad I can remember getting anywhere. I LOVE V's pizza, the food is always amazing. This week as my first time seating outside and it was the best, we came here on a friend's playdate so our littles could run around while we got to hang out. It is fenced in and there are signs everywhere telling you to be safe. The seating area is covered and a clear shot to see the play area which is great. This was mine and my girlfriend's first time trying V Pizza and it did not disappoint. From discovering it on TikTok and deciding to give it a shot, it exceeded expectations. The staff were very friendly and helpful with phenomenal suggestions. The margherita pizza was absolutely phenomenal. The V signature wings were absolute divine. The stromboli was also a great edition and flavorful. The atmosphere is very casual and family friendly. Definitely a spot where you can bring your friends and hang out or the family as they have a play area in the back. There's outside seating that's shaded. I will absolutely be back. My wife was out of town and I wanted to treat myself to some pizza and wings. I knew they had a lot of taps so I decided I would sit a spell and try some while I waited for my food. I tried two sets of four, flights. I wanted to taste the beer and not get smashed. I'm glad they offer flights as I was able to limit my consumption but get a little taste. Shame on me... I've been so stuck during my V Pizza visits on pizza (the best) and wings (the best), I've only tried a few other items, but never the Linguine and Meatballs... please forgive me... BUT... today was different... I was craving a nice pasta dish for lunch... So... I had Linguine and Meatballs and it was Magnifico!!! The pasta was perfectly cooked, the San Marzano tomato sauce was divine, with shredded mozzarella, and topped with Pecorino and fresh basil... oh my goodness...what a perfect dish... coming out of 900 degree ovens, the pasta was nice and hot and the homemade Meatballs were delicious, big, and nice and hot even in the center... there are other places where getting the internal temps done right is a problem, but with these beautiful wood fired ovens... and people who know what they are doing... that is not a problem here... I loved it. It was served with a big slice of beautiful Italian bread... With their expansive menu you have the option to go Italian even if pizza is not your desire for a meal... but when you do... the pizza is the best in town. And... so are the wings. How does a popular restaurant known for their pizza decide to make a change that does not improve it? I was a regular customer because I thought they had the best pizza in JAX. I've been to several of their locations, and have told everyone that they have the best pizza. Then one day, not knowing they changed it, I got pizza that tasted like Dominos pizza. That's fine if you like Dominos, but I do not, and didn't appreciate getting crappy take out quality pizza.
