My son and I just left Papa Vitos. This was our first (and last) time here. When we first walked in, the only thing the hostess said to us was "just two?" - no hello or smile. We brushed it off. When the waitress came to the table, she showed just as much enthusiasm as the hostess did. I even tried to joke a little with her, aaaand nothin. When she brought our pizza out, she never returned to the table to ask if we needed anything. My son waited and waited for a refill on his drink for so long, that I finally told him just to go get his own from the soda station....but just as he was getting up, the waitress finally brought another drink. I also ended up having to get up to get a box for my leftover pizza. I'm not sure why she couldn't wait on us; there was only a couple of tables. The pizza was pretty bland, and we couldn't even taste any sauce. It did, however, have a lot of toppings. The service sucks and the food is mediocre, at best. I'm almost 50 years old, and this is only the 3rd time, in my entire life, I've not left a tip. read more

I don't eat here a lot (maybe every couple of months) but it's always good. Be warned, the portions are very large. The garden salad is delicious. The salty bacon and sweet dressing are a great combo. It's so big that the salad and small pizza fill up 2 hungry adults. The cheese bread is tasty, as are the t-ravs. Their marina is good too. Pizzas are good, although I think the meat ones tend to be better than the veggie. We've only ordered their specialty ones, so maybe we need to build our own. I've had a couple of pastas and they are hot and filling, but not exceptional. Beer selection is good and I've had a couple of decent glasses of wine. Service is quick and efficient and servers are reliably pleasant. read more

Absolutely the most phenomenal salad that you can possibly ever try. Oh..but, I guess you probably were not looking for a salad review. I have yet to try anything at Papa Vitos that isn't amazing. Their pizza is my favorite pizza, it is loaded in whatever topping you have chosen - the deluxe is the best in my opinion - the crust is always crispy & their sauce is perfect. They also have amazing cheese bread that is served with the perfect sauce and I've heard numerous friends talk about) the wings. You will not leave hungry or unhappy after having a meal here, so give it a try. It is one of our favorite places in Belleville to eat and it's mainly because of that salad! read more

Papa Vito's Restaurant is amazing. I have been many times since they have opened in October and each time I have had a great experience. Their wait staff is very freindly and helpful. The food is great and you will never leave hungry! The Buffalo Chicken Pizza is to die for but the Chicken Alfredo Pizza is equally as good. They have a amazing wine selection too! Fantastic place. Had buffalo chicken bread with ranch and it hit the spot as an appetizer. Also I recommend the monster pizza if you're a meat lover's type of person. It was very good. I was with a group of 28 people. We had reservations and the tables were set up when we arrive about noon on a Saturday. On each table were 4 oval plates and 4 paper napkins. We received our drinks rather quickly. Forty-five minutes later we had to ask to see a menu. We received 3 menus for the 12 people at my table. Our orders were taken. While waiting we received a complimentary order of toasted ravioli for each table. Followed by complimentary garlic bread. Individuals who had ordered appetizers as their meal received their orders first followed by all the salads. Because the waitress was bringing out those orders we had to wait to receive any silverware after asking several times. The silverware consisted of one fork wrapped in a napkin. The rest of the orders were finally served and many wanted a knife to use. We were brought a few kitchen paring knives. When asked if we could have a tables knife the answer was "O we don't have those." I've never heard of a restaurant not having table knives for their customers. We never received an explanation as to why the service was so slow. On the other hand, the food was delicious and they served very large portions. Almost everyone walked out with a container of their leftovers. I am very reluctant to return for fear of the same terrible service. read more

Papa Vito's is one of the best pizza joints in the St. Louis area. We usually start off with a salad to share, and it was plenty for 3 and a half of us (the 7 yo usually has a little too). The garden salad is full of cheese, crisp bacon, onions, and the best croutons I have have ever eaten. The house dressing is so good that we bought a bottle to take home. Last time, we ordered the Deluxe pizza. It came to our table in what seemed like just a few minutes. It was outstanding. It's thin crust, of course, but piled with fresh toppings from end to end. The crust has such a good, smoky flavor. We love everything about Papa Vito's. The atmosphere is nice. The service staff was pleasant and attentive. The real star of show of course is the food and it does not disappoint. We don't get to Belleville all that often, but when we do, Papa Vito's it at the top of my list. read more

Excellent pizza--nothing bad to say regarding that. Service--needs improvement. I had called in an order and the first words I said was "I need to place an order for delivery" and not once did I hear him say "we do not deliver...UNLESS it is 20 or more pizza's or 24 hour notice" something that wordy, I would have heard/remembered. I continued to place my order, gave the name (which was the company I work for), a phone number, and then credit card. He said that I called a little early, they don't open until 11 so it wouldn't be started for a few moments (I called at 10:55) but that was fine because I didn't need it until 12. He confirmed 12 and that was the end of the conversation. At 12:25, when our pizza had not arrived, I called to see where it was and that is when I was told they didn't deliver. I will say that they did offer to refund the money but that was also sans pizza...I had 15 guys in the conference room waiting for pizza!! Couldn't do that...so I was hoping for a little compensation on their part when I arrived to pick the pizza's up. Instead, they made it out like it was MY fault and I should have KNOWN they didn't deliver and that the man who answered the phone DID tell me they don't deliver. MIND YOU, on THEIR pizza box it says "dine in, carry out, DELIVERY" guess they need to put in small print "with 24 hours notice or 20 or more pizza's" because that is what they kept repeating. Basically, their was a mis-communication and they didn't want to take responsibility for their part. Sad to say, we will not be patronizing here again. read more
