Ordered the Grilled Vegetable fajitas with tortillas, a Vegetable Burrito, and a family-size refried beans. The service was friendly, and the food was cooked to order. The ambience is very nice and has a great lounge feel in the outdoor seating. The lights are amazing and would make this an ideal hangout spot for large groups or even as a private event space with the restaurant doing the catering. The food was authentic Mexican, which is perfect for a vegetarian or plant-based cuisine.

46 oz mango house margarita. This one was blended and very good.

It's a small family friendly restaurant. Friendly, helpful and attentive waitstaff. Really happy we found this place. The margarita was huge and sweet. They serve huge portions here. We're looking forward to visiting the other locations!

Food was excellent. Service was great. Restaurant was clean. Salad bar was clean and stocked. We had a great experience. We will go again soon.

Upon entry to my right is the much advertised salsa bar with about 8-10 choices ranging in heat levels, both green and red, and both creamy and not, and a mango salsa for good measure. It's all you want from the salsa bar to accompany the free chips delivered to the table. I was meeting my middle son for dinner, just the two of us, and upon being seated, ordered a draft Negra Modelo, a darker beer, and it had been a while since I had one of these former favorites. "Small or large?" Was the question. "Large" was the answer. I think this beer was a 32 ounce beer! (See photo). I had two Tinga chicken street tacos and one asada steak taco, corn tortillas and as is the norm, cilantro and onions. My son had two asada and three pastor. Service was attentive but not too much so. A few families showed up for an early dinner. A few barflies hit the bar for a happy hour (Thursday). Restrooms are clean. Tacos were good, just a bit dry, salsas were good. Tortillas were a little drier than most. All in all a serviceable meal, nothing bad but nothing outstanding, good beer. I would definitely return, but it's not close to some of the best tacos in town.

Chips and salsa are not complimentary, but you do get these cute little wagon wheel looking chips called duros. They're like puffed air and remind me of pork rinds but not as crunchy and probably made from flour. The drinks are all delicious and strong. The margaritas are small but watch out, they'll sneak up on you! Lots of options. They specialize in tequila and mezcal with flights as an option. The bar is the spot to be; bartenders are friendly and they have small TVs to watch whatever sports are in season. The atmosphere is a little lacking in my opinion, but it's all about the food. Food is delicious and the portions are larger than expected. We got the chips and queso, Heidi's Flautas, soup of the day, and the Birria Egg Rolls. Too much food for 2 people so we took some home. Location is in a strip mall; parking is tight and can be a challenge. We won't let that stop us though! We will be back for those delicious Birria Egg Rolls and margaritas!

La Parilla Mexican Restaurant in Greenville, SC is my favorite!…read moreThe ambiance and vibe are welcoming, lively and inviting. Our waitress was Juliette and she was amazing. She was so kind, patient and knowledgeable. I asked for her opinion regarding a couple of menu items I wanted to choose from and she was more than happy to recommend what she thought I would enjoy most. Juliette also made our spicy fresh salsa herself and it was absolutely delicious! My husband had the shrimp and chicken fajita's and I had the Carne Asada and we both could not stop commenting on how excellent everything was prepared and delicious the food was! I just can't say enough about the incredible food, service and ambiance. I truly love this place and whenever I am in the Greenville area, there is nothing that could keep me from returning to this gem of a restaurant! Thank you so much Juliette for your awesome service, kindness and positive customer service we had the pleasure of enjoying while visiting with you! Juliette obviously loves her job and is truly excellent at what she does. Please ask for her when you visit as you will not be disappointed!

I try so hard to never be demanding or unkind--I already hate having to be different. It's not a fad, it's celiac, I have no choice. It's extremely embarrassing and downright rude to be treated this way for simply asking a question. So if you're gluten free, they have great options, but it's very clear they do not like serving those with allergies.
