What an amazing experience at this small family run business. The calamari was perfectly prepared. The clams in a cream sauce was delicious and full of flavor. Papa's Table is the best mom and pop Italian restaurant you can find. The food is simple without compromising on flavor. This family owned business has been in Wellington, CO since 2017! They serve Italian and Asian cuisine. I can only comment on their delicious Italian food. I've tried their veal parmigiana and shrimp primavera and really loved both dishes! They are very homey and family orientales place. The food is a warm cooked home meal. The atmosphere is quaint and simple. Their outdoor patio is lovely for the summers. Great little Italian place in a quaint little old bank building. A bit off the beaten path but worth the easy exit off I25. We've. Lived in the area for three years and have tried most of the Fort Collins restaurants but had not ventured north yet until tonight. This place is just 29 minutes north of FoCo. My wife had Chicken Marsala and I had veal Piccata. And both were excellent. Very tender with just the right amount of breading. Started the meal with the Italian soup, it was a homemade style minestrone and the seasoning was perfect and distinct. In fact the seasoning of everything throughout was always perfect. Even the zucchini side was perfectly sautéed (not soft not hard) and the seasoning made it an absolutely delicious side, even for my wife that rarely eats zucchini. I would have taken pictures but found myself diving in too quickly. Finally the prices, they were very reasonable. Dinner for two is easily under $50 before drinks, and worth every penny. This is a tough review. First, 5 stars for a family owned local business really trying to make it work. Second, the food was almost there. We feel like a little more attention to detail and flavor and the place would be a 5. Lastly, a little weird and maybe too specific but their very young daughter had the run of the place - she rode her bike through the patio where people were dining and ran around the main seating area. I know this may be an overkill observation but it seemed weird when you are paying $20-30 a plate. We will go back eventually but not motivated. read more

I had dinner at Papa's Table for the first time tonight It's Wellington's newest restaurant and features Italian Cuisine I ordered Eggplant Parmesan which is one of my favorite dishes. I make a pretty yummy version myself so I'm fairly discerning. Papa's Table met my expectations and more. It was served with pasta, fresh asparagus and a small loaf of bread The asparagus was well-seasoned and roasted - very nice. I had a glass of red wine which was a nice blend. In the Denver area for the Colorado Sparkler Softball Tournament and found this great little Italian Restaurant in Wellington, CO. Everything on the menu is home made and the owner, a little old lady, came over, several times to talk to us and make company. We sat on the patio and we had a wonderful experience. A must if you are in the area. I love mussels and clams so I had the Live Maine Lobster Ciopino with Mussels, Clams, Shrimp, Scallops, Calamari, White Fish, and 1/2 Whole Lobster.... all bathed in a Red Wine Marinara Broth. There was a gentleman at the table next to us who recommended the clams as a starter. He proclaimed them as being "quite delicious." I went there with my family recently... I personally don't think I'll ever eat there again. Some of the food was good, but for the price there are much better options locally. The bread starter they gave us very much seemed like it was something store bought in a package that they plopped onto a plate with some butter. (Cold and chewy, rather than the crispy-outside oven-warm bread you'd get at any other Italian restaurant.) The food was both good and underwhelming... The appetizers we got (fried zucchini and calamari) were fantastic, but the entrees were pretty underwhelming for how expensive they were. Our entrees all came with a side of steamed broccoli and spaghetti with a bland tomato sauce. For a $24 steak entree, I guess I expected something better. The steak itself was ok, but again, pretty underwhelming for the price. I've gotten similar entrees at other local restaurants for the same price (or less!) that were FAR FAR better. The staff was very friendly and polite. The manager came over and talked for a bit, which was nice. The baby crib/playpen right in the dining area was VERY unprofessional in my opinion, especially because of how small, loud, and somewhat cramped it was in there. That, and the staff playing with/ comforting the toddler every few minutes was very distracting and made the restaurant feel like a daycare. The tile floor, toddler playpen, small space, and high ceiling made it very loud inside. Though some of the food was good and the staff was nice, I don't think it's a place I'd choose to go to again. We took the family to Papa's Table tonight for the first time. Truly authentic traditional Italian. The lasagna with meatballs and Italian sausage, the chicken marsala, the eggplant parmesan and the cheesecake were like a trip back to Little Italy in New York City. The Calamari appetizer was lightly battered, tender and next level, plus the marinara was really good. The kids had the zucchini appetizer and it was absolutely consistent with everything else we had there. We highly recommend this restaurant, definitely worth checking out! We have been back several times in the past month with five star results each time. I was blown away with the homemade cannoli and tiramisu. Went today for Easter brunch. It was worse than the last time we went. Our food was bland, cold, more like an appetizer. This time I ordered the Lamb, besides being cold, I found two pieces of plastic twine on my plate. I have to admit that they comped my dinner, but charged me for soup that was part of the meal. If you crave great Italian food, this is the place for you. Can't say enough good things about it. Have eaten in and gotten to-go, food was amazing every time. Staff is wonderful; attentive and kind. The only thing that could improve the restaurant is by having more space, but the historic bank is such a neat location that you can't fault them for having a small dining room.
