On today 08/18/26, my coworker and I stopped in for lunch around 12:30. We witnessed who we believe to be a General store manager or shift lead wearing blue, brunette hair, treating her staff like absolute trash. A young boy employee didn't confirm an order and she publicly humiliated him and yelled at him saying if that order doesn't get deliver it's on him and he has to pay for it. She then yelled at an older woman employee twice over sauces using profanity, making everyone in there uncomfortable. Horrible management, she should be fired. read more

Over the years, this location has significantly declined. I walked in right at their start of day and got hit was cold sales from Gabe who is their caterer and pushed business cards at me. The trash cans had food particles on the tops, soda station was sticky and had no ice. The syrup for the Coke was out. The tables had sticky residue from the previous day. The establishment was hot and smelled like horrible rotting trash. Floors had food and sticky from previous day. When they went to get my cup for a drink, they were wet with some sort of liquid. The scanning guns have not worked in over a year. My sandwich had little meat, wilty lettuce, and 3 diced peppers. Was supposed to be peppers and cucumber, I received pepper( no s) and pickle. Did not get a pickle spear. The person that made the sandwich did not change his gloves once before my order or after, even going into the back. The front coolers were called in spills and debris from months of no wipe downs. Their new fries were crispy, but only had light flavor powder on one side. The special sauce for the fries is mayo and sweet cucumber juice. I've tried to be supportive but when the place looks as bad as it smells, things do not work, and my sandwich is not even worth $5, I won't be returning. read more

I really want to love this Firehouse Subs location because I enjoy the food when it's made correctly, but I cannot keep wasting money here. I visit every couple of months, and they get my order wrong 100% of the time, whether I order online, at the kiosk, or in person. Examples include getting a sandwich with only bread, mayo, and tomatoes (missing all the sandwich meat) I was shocked I got a sandwich without any turkey. Despite clear online instructions, to my most recent visit on May 1st, 2026, where I confirmed the order with the counter staff, only to find half the ingredients missing on my sandwich again. It is incredibly disheartening. Please improve the attention to detail in the kitchen. read more

I've given this location so many chances: they are clearly not up to health code or Managed poorly. Maybe both. Who puts AuJus with a melted unsecured lids? LAZY poorly managed staffed. Would love to give Firehouse a higher star rating, yet the problem at this particular location is that it's not consistent in quality, service, or cleanliness. When I have good service from the staff and get my order made correctly, it's outstanding, however when the service is unfriendly and/or there's a mistake to my order, then I'm not inclined to keep coming back. The tables and floors aren't always kept the cleanest, either. My son and I went to the Firehouse Subs restaurant yesterday to order 2 subs. We haven't been there in a while and I will not be going back. I ordered two subs. One turkey with provolone cheese and nothing extra, and the second was a New York Steamer. The turkey and cheese sub was cut in half with all the turkey on one side of the sub and tons of mayo. There was also lettuce which I told them not to put anything extra and I didn't see any cheese. The New York steamer also had tons of mayo and some meat which I believe was all corned beef and no Italian dressing, or cheese. The total price for this fiasco as $27.00. My fault for giving him a tip. The only tip I would give him is you have just lost a customer and learn how to make a sandwich. One of the most awful subs we've had. read more

Was in the area and had a TMobile coupon for a free medium Hook and Ladder. I took the opportunity to try the Mac & Cheese for the first time. I would normally get the New York Steamer, but the Hook and Ladder was pretty good. Are there really any bad sandwiches here? The Mac & Cheese was good. The cheese sauce is soupier than most, but it works. I still need to try the chili, but I will be getting the Mac again. I really appreciate that, at this location, they bring the food to you at the table. The location I normally go to in Laveen doesn't seem to do that. read more

This place sucks! I had an afternoon errand in the plaza and a recent mailer with a coupon. I stopped in to redeem it and that was somewhat of a smooth process. Rounded up my order to support some ambiguous charity for first responders and then I WAITED! There were 4 people ahead of me standing around. 5 people behind the counter -- 1 being either currently sick or getting over the nastiest cold. While I waited and waited, I watched employees step out from behind the counter with food prep gloves on grab bags of chips and refill drinks. I couldn't see over the counter if they then swapped out their gloves, but I hope so! After 10+ minutes and not seeing *1* sandwich cross the counter to the group of people waiting ahead of me, I waved goodbye. It was 2:00 PM! I'm only out $3 I spent with the coupon for the sandwich I never got to try, but the time wasted was much more valuable. If you are in this plaza, FUCK this place and just go to Sprouts for a faster sandwich or the new restaurant next to Sprouts. The five cheese macaroni on the side was the best I've had all year. Service by Andres and Chris was consistently great. I came here for my birthday sub and the staff was immediately friendly and got my order done correctly and timely. I ordered the Hero sub without tomatoes. It was really really food. See the photo for more proof. The sub was hot and fresh and the bread tasted fresh along with the rest of the ingredients. I liked how the store had everything set up well for Covid precautions during our pandemic and kept everything as clean as possible on the inside. I ordered a "New York Steamer" sub and a meatball sub for my wife last night. The pastrami on the New York Steamer sub was mostly fat, DISGUSTING. The meatball sub was flavorless and had no cheese on it. The bread was microwaved, not oven-toasted like the picture on the Firehouse Subs website and tasted like a hot dog bun, just wetter due to the microwaving. These were the worst sub sandwiches my wife and I have ever eaten. My bill for 2 horrible sandwiches was $22. Not the best service for my experience. I waited in line for like 4 minutes. During the whole time I was standing at the register neither of the two employees acknowledged me. From the time I walked into the lobby from the time someone finally helped me. Nothing. Not even a "just a sec we'll be right with you!" Just standing there awkwardly. too expensive over priced food 7 inch sub $14 that's ridiculous I will never come to a fire house ever again

Stopped by Firehouse Subs for lunch. No COVID signage anywhere but the staff was wearing masks. I tried the new Pepperoni Pizza Meatball Sub. I got a medium one plus a medium drink for $13.78 total. Separately, the components of the sub were great: big juicy meatballs; rich marinara sauce; soft bread; garlic spread and big slices of pepperoni. All of those components in a sandwich: disaster. Either the bread needs to be bigger, the meatballs smaller or at least cut in half. I asked for a knife and fork but they didn't have any. Each bite was so messy that it took an entire napkin to recover from the bite. I had a pile of them when I finished. I just felt that the developers had a good sandwich somewhere else and couldn't execute it properly at Firehouse. Sad. read more

Customer service was lacking, they didn't even say hello when I walked in the door and barely acknowledged me when I was standing there. When I got back to my office with my sub, it was as if whoever made the sub took the meat, pulled it up, popped in one spot on the bread, and did the same thing with the condiments, half of the sub was just bread.
