I hate leaving bad reviews but sometimes it's necessary. My boyfriend and I came here for lunch and were super disappointed with every aspect of our experience. Our server was not friendly at all nor was she attentive. We actually got our entire food order before she brought our drinks- an iced tea and a water, and I had to get up and go find her inside (standing by the bar talking) to ask her to bring our drinks so we could eat. She apologized and said she was "helping the bar so she forgot" but that's the first thing you should do for your tables is bring something to drink. Our food came out extremely fast. We got the 2 meat bbq plate and it was very evident it had been sitting under a heat lamp for some time. The plate is already over priced and then the charge an extra $3 if you select pork ribs as one of your meats.. they gave us 3 tiny ribs.. and 3 tiny pieces of dry brisket. The creamed corn was super thick and not very warm. The beans were good and the salt and vinegar wings tasted ok. The bbq plate was pretty bad we both felt really gross after eating it. Over all the food is over priced, not fresh or good and the service was horrible. We will definitely never return. read more

Stopped for Fathers Day; said there was to be a live band from 6-10pm but not the case and they closed at 9. Service was a little slow but waitress was very nice; I had the loaded Mac and cheese and it was good; brisket was a little dry but not too bad. Oh my gosh it was SO GOOD. We ordered takeout on a Saturday around 4pm and the place was already filling up with people ready to relax, have a drink, and listen to some good music. They have local brews on tap- we loved to see the foxtails from Bearded Fox! We ordered 1lb of brisket (half lean, half moist), 1 lb pulled pork, 1 lb sausage, and 1 lb ribs, as well as 2 sides of creamed corn, to feed 3 people. We ate EVERYTHING. It was finger lickin good! Our only complaint was the creamed corn, it was extremely thick and starting to clump and separate, indicating the cream was cooked too hot. It had an interesting flavor, but I wouldn't order it again. Overall we were very satisfied and will be back! read more

Overall I would saw our experience was underwhelming. Service was a little slow, not great, not bad, just mediocre. Chips/Salsa/Queso was good. Daughters had Brisket Mac n Cheese and the pulled pork plate. These were really good and both girls gave it high marks. My wife had the brisket sandwich and was not impressed. It had 2 slices of meat on it and one was 1/2 fat. For the price, it was no where near enough meat. I had the sliced sausage sandwich. My sliced beef sandwich was an end piece with a huge glob of pepper seasoning. Again, pathetic. I give great reviews when I can and rarely write a bad review. But this was so bad. Terrible service with below average food. Now to clarify, the our waitress was polite and our food wasn't disgusting... but overall we weren't happy with the overall experience. It took about 10-15 minutes for a drink order, and we only saw our waitress twice after that. The food was nothing to write home about... needed salt and other spices/flavoring. Had the best Salmon I've ever tasted when I was served Salmon on a cedar plank! !!! Perfectly cooked and scrumptiously seasoned with a maple glaze the great server Ryan told me it was Norwegian salmon. He was also very interested in being the best server as he went back to ask chef all about the dish. I paired it with a house Chardonnay which was delicious!! I was hoping we had found a new restaurant to enjoy some good BBQ & CFS but unfortunately, this was not the case. Upon arriving we had hoped to sit outside & enjoy the live music. There were several tables that were empty but had glasses on them but were told they were all taken. We ended up sitting inside and noticed 10 minutes later all the tables being cleaned up and new guests being seated at these tables "that were taken " ten minutes or so prior. It was pure laziness and a host who could care less to check on any of those tables or like most restaurants keep track of the seating. We decided to try their fried pickles as our waitress suggested. They were very thin but pretty good. My son and I decided on that CFS and well I couldn't cut a piece without the batter completely falling off nor did it have any crispiness to it like you hope to see in a homemade CFS. This was completely formed like a frozen one you see in the grocery store. I chose Mac n Cheese as one of my sides and I have to say it was extremely "tasty" I most definitely would recommend. My husband chose the Cypress Trail Chicken which he said was moist and good but the portion was the size of my palm and for a man at 225 lbs that is very small. It is a portion that women eat if they are following a strict diet. Overall, our waitress was friendly and was there to assist with what we needed. Unlike the waitress serving other guests next to us who kept hitting and knocking my purse down but never stopping to say anything or picking it up... maybe she just couldn't feel or see it from the back, not sure? Will we be returning to dine? Probably not but would like to go and hear some live music one weekend. read more

This is the second time me and my family come to this restaurant and for the second time we are ignored at the table. The first time after 45-50 minutes waiting at the table we had to stand up and get the attention from a worker to please come and attend us. After that long wait of just getting the attention from somebody, the food then also took a long time to come out. We went today for the second time to give it another try but once again we were sitting waiting to be attended. We watched our waiter attend the man sitting next to us and saw the couple that walked in after us already get their drinks while we weren't even greeted at the table. We ended up walking out this time. This is ridiculous and we're never going back here again. read more

Not impressed. Food eat overpriced, healthy portion sizes, but the food lacks flavor. I loved how the chicken fried steak was breaded. But I had to put so much salt and pepper to even get some type of flavor. Most everyone in our group agreed that it was pricey. It's not far from home for me. I wished I could have loved this place. First time to visit. Everything we ordered came good. Brisket was some of the best ever! Loaded Mac and Cheese was really good as well. The only complaint that came out of our party of 10 was from me. I ordered a Baked Potato. I have a pet peeve, as many people do. I don't like my Potato just sliced open across the top. Stopped in for an early Saturday dinner - 2 adults, 2 kids. Sat outdoors, enjoyed the atmosphere and even caught a few of the first songs by the live music starting at 6:30pm. We thought it was thoughtful that the waitress let us know when the music would start right when we were being seated. Kids had cream sodas, husband and I had mixed drinks (they were delicious but expensive!) Food was excellent - fries thick and well-seasoned, excellent bbq sauce. Have been going since it opened and have always had a great experience. One of my favorite places. Only knock is the BBQ sauce on the side is too sweet. Personal preference but I prefer the more vinegar based BBQ. Other than that food and staff have always been great to me. read more

The food is mediocre, my turkey sandwich was soso but my husband's BBQ sandwich was dry. The french fries looked awesome but they were room temperature. The noise in the place was also deafening. I eventually had to take my meal to go because it was just to loud and overwhelming. If you or a member of your family has sensery issues this is not the place for you. read more
