Love this place so much, I'm addicted. The garlic bread is SOOOO good and the crab gumbo as well. My husband & I split the shrimp po boy & fries. Huge & delicious. We drove from TN to this location for my Mom's 60th birthday celebration. We hadn't been to Pappadeaux in almost 10 years. Let me just say the trip was well worth it! From the sweet and clean atmosphere, to the service and the amazing food! Everything was even better than we expected. Jamal, our server was literally on top of everything there wasn't really anything we had to ask for, he kept the drinks coming, the food came out much sooner than expected and was absolutely scrumptious. We are seafood lovers and don't find many great locations here in Nashville, which is one reason why we're so fund of Pappadeaux even years later! Oh and the deserts are ridiculously huge! I made a reservation and when we arrived it was busy so it took a little while for us to be seated, not a big issue considering the day. Once seated, Chris did a good job of taking care of our party of seven. A few items ordered were not available so we had to order something different. For the most part, we all enjoyed our food. Dinner last night, wife and I. As always, professional staff. The cocktails-excellent. The entries- quality and quantity- large portions for the price. My wife's selection of crab stuffed trout was cooked to perfection, but also with two very large (this was the whole fish) filets. This required a to-go box. Highly Disappointed and Frustrated with Pappadeaux Kitchen I am beyond disappointed with my recent experience at Pappadeaux. I ordered the Pappadeaux Platter, which I paid $52.85 for part of a total order that came to $84.48 and it was completely unacceptable. Not only was the chicken missing, but the potato I paid an extra $6.95 for wasn't included either. On top of that, I received noticeably fewer shrimp than I usually get with this dish. When my brother brought the food home to Pinson, AL, I called immediately after realizing what was missing. The hostess questioned why I wanted to speak to the manager (which was inappropriate in itself), then took my name, address, and phone number and said they would send a card in the mail, which supposedly goes out on Mondays. That was the only "resolution" offered no apology, no real attempt to make it right, just a vague promise of a card that may or may not come. This isn't the first time I've had an issue with this location, but it is the first time I've taken the time to speak up. I won't be spending another dollar here until Pappadeaux can prove they value their customers and hold themselves to higher standards. For the price I paid, this experience was unacceptable. read more

At first glance when you first walk in it is extremely chaotic. We were told that it would be a 30 to 45 minute wait and we were skeptical as half the tables were empty. So they said we could order at the bar which we did. The bar staff was very accommodating and the meal was extremely good. Only a couple small issues. One my bar stool felt like it was ready to break at any time and the bartender didn't know the difference between bourbon and whiskey. All in all, I would still recommend this to anyone who wanted to come here. read more

Happy Mardi Gras at Pappadeauxs. Trevon done told us all the featured items they got for Mardi Gras. I had already heard that the Mardi Gras cheesecake is a must. For starters we had 2 sets of the oysters, gumbo, Brussels and alligator bites. That complimentary bread came out too. It's good, but slow getting to this table tonight. Note them stars. I don't fool with much seafood, but them gator bites? Them thangs good. I was wondering was that one of them that Troy done caught? Delicious. Entrees included grilled rainbow trout and shrimp with spinach, grilled sampler platter with shrimp, catfish, crawfish Etoufee, and chicken tenderloins, Grilled seafood mix, and Fee and I both got catfish platters with 3 filets. I got mine with that award winning dirty rice, carrots and spinach. She paired hers with truffle potatoes and spinach. Whew! All I gots to say is, this is bout 4 days worth of food. Drove 10hrs today from the heart of Texas and stopped to grab some dinner on Father's Day. Just a wife, son, and a dad with a hankering for some seafood after a long day. We started with a 35 minute wait due to how busy it was for the holiday. My wife spent a large portion of those 35 minutes standing at the bar waiting for a cocktail and a coke. After being seated we were placed in a booth that was legit right next to the bathroom. You could smell the sanitizing aromatic sprayer every time someone walked in or out. We decided to go with some mozzarella bites for the little guy - $15, and a $50 steak with an add on for a $40 lobster. Wife and I decided that we would save a few bucks and split the dinner. After 15 minutes our waitress came to the table and let us know that they do not have any 1.25lb lobsters and that I could go with one from the tank that was heavier, I asked for a price, she didn't have it. Then the manager 5 minutes later came back by and told me that same thing but said that they had 2lb possibly a 3lb...still no price. Then the waitress came back 10min after and said all they had was a 4lb lobster...STILL NO PRICE. I explained that I don't want to spend a crap ton on a water bug but get the price anyways. She came back 5min later with a price of $131. I obviously declined because I'm not Elon Musk and asked if they had any crab.. of course, they were all out. I then let her know that I would pass on seafood. About 10min later they brought out the steak w/ broccolini and didn't bring the baked tater. Look... I'm from Texas and believe that I know meat and when I tell you that this steak had no seasoning, I mean it had NO seasoning. It was also supposed to be dry aged. Clearly the most dry aging it had was sitting on the counter waiting for it to get cooked dry and served to a desperate father on Father's Day. I talked to the manager who gave me the fried cheese cubes free and a slice of cheese cake. Cheese cake for real took 20min to get. The waitress said, "sorry, just waiting on that cheese cake". I am not sure what the deal is, but they may have ran to the Cheesecake Factory a couple miles away in order to get that . Since this experience I have lost all faith in Father's Day. My wife and son don't look at me the same. My dogs hate me. I called my dad to tell him what happened and he said, "new phone who dis" and hung up. Save yourself the trouble, heartache, and disappointment and go find a urinal cake at a truck stop and eat that. Pappadeaux...more like Pappa-don't! (Sorry, I had to) lol read more

Unfortunately no pics but please keep reading! Parking is ample especially when it's not crowded. They have their own parking lot so that's a plus. We went late on a week night and it wasn't crowded and we did have reservations which I do whenever possible. We had a group of 8. Our server was so sweet and thoughtful and intentional. She took her time in a good way. Our food was excellent. Not one complaint and it was nice sized portions. We will be back and next time I promise I will take pictures. If you want seafood, this is a must try. Just know on the weekends it can get super packed so plan ahead and act accordingly. read more

The prices, however, had increased dramatically since our last visit. Service was okay, and the food quality was acceptable, but nothing was exceptional. I like this place. I just don't get here enough. First i will say it's a very family friendly restaurant, you will hear some babies and one might run pass your table. If i was out with friends that isn't really what I'd want but i only come here with family so it's never been a problem. The food is great, I've never had anything i didn't love. The drinks, are pricey and you can save your money. They are honestly what bumps this place from a 4 to a 3 for me. When I'm getting to Cajun food mood, a good drink is in my hand. I have given up on that one. The service is always professional but i wouldn't say I've ever had a staff member who was friendly. If you do your job we will get along. read more

Came here for lunch with my friends. Me-Me was our server and she was so sweet. We really enjoyed her energy, she was also timely as it relates to our meals. We all enjoyed our food! The Caesar salad was swamped in dressing which made it slightly less enjoyable but other than that everything was great. We were nervous they would be busy because of the church crowd. It was pretty steady but staff got the meals out efficiently from what we saw. This is a great place for friends, families, dates, large groups, or a solo meal.
