Overall great food nice and fresh! The appetizers are on point and a must on the calamari garlic bread. LADIES!!! The passionfruit lemon drop & pineapple refresher!!! Are so tasty! Hands down don't drink more than 2 it's a slow creep to a wild day/night! The atmosphere was nice lots of birthdays and just casual dining. The only con was the wait staff could be a bit more present. He was just ok not terrible but not anything special. SN visit the small mom and pop liquor wine and spirits next door they have a ton of rare bottle.

The food was delicious and on- par with the Pappadeaux chain. I had the alligator and here they do it with a twist with a honey hot sauce. I also got the Texas Redfish Po chart rain with the white wine sauce from the salmon Alexander. And of course I got a swamp thing! The atmosphere was a bit mild for a Saturday early evening! Delicious!!! Lincoln was very attentive and helpful! Kudos!

Popped in Sunday afternoon for lunch. Got sat right away and perfect timing as it got super busy by the time we left. Got the hot honey alligator bites, gumbo, snapper, shrimp Po boy and something else. The snapper was on my mind as I'd had it at another Pappadeaux and this one was good, just not what I expected. Alligator bites were delicious and. It spicy at all without the sauce. Gumbo was full of meat and tasty. The service was good, when the second round of drinks were a bit delayed, a manager came over to apologize and got a complimentary dessert as compensation. Defiantly a great way to recognize the problem and be proactive on how to handle. Loved the atmosphere as the inside always is bigger than what it looks from outside. Clean and well kept.

A group of us from work came in to celebrate Mirna's birthday. The food was delicious. I had the mixed seafood grilled. The lunch portion size. It was perfect. The wait staff was friendly even with the large party of 8. I love the vibe . They were playing great music. And serving good food

Tinka was a great server! We had north east oysters, papas Greek salad, the grouper with carrots topped with pistachios, and my favorite- the hot honey gator! Holy moly. I rarely get something other than stuffed crab but this was my favorite ever! What a chill restaurant with fantastic service. We finished our oysters and another waitress just happened to stop by and take the tower away for us. This was a great stop! We will be back!

Came here for dinner on a Friday night. It's a bit on the pricy side, but that's to be expected with seafood. The dining area is nice and love that they have a big bar area that is open seating as well. Highly recommend getting any of the crab dishes!

    Seafood Platter...grilled, fried and stuffed!

Sometimes, you just need to give in to that fried seafood craving--and Pappadeaux usually hits the mark. I recently stopped in for lunch with my mom and nieces, and it was a solid, satisfying meal. We started with their signature warm bread and soft butter... and honestly, I always eat more of it than I should (no regrets though!). My mom loves the Naked Trout, and she also ordered the Louisiana Crab Gumbo (which had a bit more heat than she expected). I typically go for the Seafood Platter, customizing it to my preferences: grilled catfish and shrimp...with the fried oysters, stuffed shrimp, and stuffed crab. I usually sub the fries for a house salad, and the broccolini is a tasty swap, too. The kids' menu is simple and straightforward, which makes ordering easy when I've got little ones with me. Chicken Tenders and Fries (with coloring books on the side) keeps everyone happy! Service is generally good, though the restaurant can get busy--so I recommend making a reservation, especially during peak hours. The interior is fairly spacious and the Bar gets just as many diners as the main dining room, giving it a lively atmosphere. Pappadeaux isn't a "wow-every-time" type of place, but it's consistently tasty and comforting. For fried oysters, soft shell crab, or a seafood platter...this spot remains a go-to. And, it's a place I find myself returning to when those fried seafood cravings strike. Happy Eating!

Absolutely divine!! This is my 3rd visit to a Pappadeaux's location. The first was in Fort Worth, the second was at Avenida de las Americas in Houston and now this one. I can honestly say that every experience has been exceptional. Each time, I've come, I've visited while working but this time was for my anniversary and as always, the service and food did not disappoint. Our server Juan was amazing and super helpful. He knows the assignment to amass great tips. I'm kinda glad that I don't live here because I'd definitely be a frequent guest. The atmosphere is always inviting but this one has a nice warm feel. Can't say enough great things about this establishment.

Order a seafood platter and only received one tartar and cocktail sauce. Meal is way to expensive to only get the bare minimum that's ridiculous... do better

Excellent service. Hands down super fantastic! Food...not so much. Ridiculously overpriced and tasteless. Drinks are also insanely priced. Go to Truluck's for real seafood and avoid this Landry chain at all costs.

First check in online and get a reservation because they can be busy. Servers were very friendly and had suggestions since it was our first visit. You can customize any dish because everything is made fresh and they will swap items out for you just ask. Our Ceasar salad came out first and I was a bit worried because it did have a lot of dressing. I also got a cup of gumbo which was good but very salty. However when our main dish came out I was floored how good it was. We shared the parpedelle seafood pasta that had almost every kind of seafood including octopus. I would hands down go back for this dish. The place is large with a lot of tables and a separate bar and to go area. I can't wait to go back to Dallas for that parpedelle pasta

Came with a friend for an early birthday dinner and was seated fairly quickly despite there being a lot of people. Our waiter was attentive and provided great customer service. I started off with the purple voodoo, and later, the strawberry mangeaux tango and I enjoyed both drinks! For food, I ordered a house salad with ranch dressing and we were provided with garlic bread. These items were great to start the meal off with! For main, I ordered the texas redfish pontchartrain and this was a very good dish! The crab and shrimp made for a nice touch to the fish. Overall, we had a nice time with a delicious dinner!

Delicious Southern Sweet Tea at that not what passes for sweet tea in Texas. I was not told to add grainy sugar into unsweetened tea like I was here. my tour guide was a local woman who's lived in the heart of New Orleans for 63 years, and was shocked and appalled when I read to her what the management of Charlie's Creole Kitchen replied to my critique regarding the Sweet Tea, (lack there of, as well as his belief that it isn't commonplace, or borderline essential) she was shocked in disbelief about as well as the astronomical prices we have to pay as their serving sizes in New Orleans are substantially bigger, for either equal or in some cases even cheaper prices. I don't really care how long someone's been running a kitchen (one way) constructive criticism should be embraced to increase the quality of an establishment, not gotten defensive over. Removing one star for having to go all the way to New Orleans to not feel like a crazy person about the Sweet Tea and Prices. This place is already really good! but could still be better! (OP) As someone from the Deep South, I have high standards for Southern Dives. First, a warning for my fellow Deep-Southerners: they must get away with this with their native Texan Patrons, but the lack of Sweet-Tea is Blasphemy. Unsweetened only. The Standouts: * Baked Stuffed Flounder (10/10): Hands down the best dish I sampled. The roasted red pepper sauce is incredible, and the cheese grits make it a real southern comfort platter. * Chicken, Shrimp & Bacon Corn Chowder (10/10): Truly New England-level quality. An absolute explosion of flavor. * Crab Cakes (10/10): Rich, delicious, and worth every bite. The Middle Ground: The Boudin Balls and Seafood Gumbo were solid (7/10), though the gumbo doesn't quite reach the level of a spot like Pappadeaux, it's decent. $11 for 3 decent Boudin Balls is highway robbery at its best. The Fried Seafood Platter was good, 7.5/10 but at $35, the platter is on the smaller side, especially only given one piece of catfish. The side salads (3/10) the after thought of the menu, chopped head of lettuce smothered in ranch (or Italian) with one banana pepper, and one slice of tomato that looks like it was suppose to be on a burger, no toppings at all. Truck stops have better prepared salads. Which wouldn't typically be a problem if this was a budget-friendly eatery, but for its Texas-Sized prices, And New-York sized portions. The oversight of the Sweet-Tea and a decent side salad is for sure a miss. It might fully please Texans, but it left somethings to be desired from a non-Texan southerner. That being said! It is absolutely well worth the visit! The food was all above average for the region, the service was friendly, attentive and fast, the food came out quickly and efficiently. The location isn't great, but not bad. a little tight and congested, the interior is very mom & pop feeling which is nice. I truly did enjoy my experience, misses and all. After a long day in transit, all we wanted was something deeply satisfying, the kind of meal that feels like a reward. When my mother suggested Aunt Irene's Kitchen, there was no hesitation. She spoke of it with the reverence reserved for places that become part of your personal geography former neighborhood staples, the kind you measure other meals against. Years ago, when she lived nearby, this was her spot. And now, standing beside her in a line that stretched out the door, it was clear we weren't the only ones holding onto that sentiment. The queue moved with surprising ease, a quiet efficiency that felt almost practiced. Inside, the energy was unpretentious and steady. Our cashier, while not particularly warm, was brisk and knowledgeable answering questions with the kind of clarity that suggests confidence in the product more than performance. We ordered simply: wings with fries, and two plates of fried fish with fries. The wings hadn't been part of the original plan, but a fellow patron mid-meal and visibly excited leaned over to insist. It felt like advice worth taking. And it was. The food arrived in its own time this is not a place for the impatient but what it lacked in speed, it more than made up for in flavor. The fish was crisp and tender, the wings richly seasoned, each bite layered with the kind of depth that doesn't rush itself. Then there was the jalapeño tucked alongside the plate like a quiet signature. It cut through the richness with a bright, deliberate heat, a small but memorable detail that elevated the entire experience. The dining room itself is modest and well-kept, with many opting to take their meals to-go or retreat to their cars. There's an ease to it all ample parking, friendly faces coming and going, a sense of community that lingers longer than the wait. Unfortunately, the service was questionable. Our server had difficulty communicating in English, which led to a costly misunderstanding. When we ordered crab, she never asked what type of crab we wanted and instead assumed king crab, which is significantly more expensive than other options. As a result, our bill was much higher than expected. To make matters worse, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill without it being mentioned to us beforehand. While restaurants may choose to add gratuity in certain situations, customers should be clearly informed so there are no surprises. My advice: enjoy the food, but be very specific when ordering. Confirm exactly what type of crab you're getting, verify the pricing, and check your bill carefully. Also remember that gratuity should be clearly communicated and not assumed. Better communication would have made this a much better overall experience.I'd rate it 2.5 out of 5 stars. Great food, but the service and communication issues took away from the experience.
