I booked this location for a large party in the evening a day or two prior, so we were seated immediately when we came in. The inside is so beautiful and elegant. The place is dimly lit with a soft glow coming from the ceiling chandeliers and table candles, but not too dim that nice pictures can't be taken. Our waiter was so nice and patient with the entire group. He was extremely attentive and made our dining experience special! Complimentary bread was brought to the table as we talked and browsed the food and drinks menu. From what I can remember, the group mostly ordered the salmon, half roasted chicken, truffle fries, braised short rib, lamb chops, and lobster Mac and cheese. Some ordered the lemonade, and two ordered a lychee drop martini and an imperial mojito. Also, two strawberry cheesecake bites were brought out for the birthday girls! I know for a fact that everyone loved the truffle fries because they were mostly gone by the end of the night! I had the roasted half chicken, it came with very smooth whipped potatoes and a sauce on the side. The chicken was flavorful with a nice bite, and the skin was crispy. I do not know how they make their whipped potatoes, but I could have eaten it as an entree! It was so smooth, buttery, and savory! The potatoes were genuinely my favorite part of the meal. Everyone else seemed to love their food, the most popular item was the lobster Mac and cheese. The other guests raved about the lobster's freshness and beautiful flavor. The guest who ordered the salmon loved it, and she does not even like salmon! I was able to get a bite of the cheesecake, and it was actually the best cheesecake that I had ever had. The strawberry sauce was not too sweet, and the cheese flavor was not overpowering. We loved everything we had, and I'm planning to bring others the next time I go! The introduction was a bit off-putting. The hostess initially told me they didn't serve the dish and that it was only available at the Grill, not the restaurant. I pulled it up online to show her, but she still seemed unsure. When I went to the bar, both bartenders said the same thing--until someone finally pulled out the menu and there it was, listed right at the top. Not the best first impression. Once sorted, I ordered the Shucked, Fried & Stirred special, which is available at the bar only. For $39, you get a half dozen oysters, fries, a petite salad, and a martini--solid value. The food, paired with a fantastic entertainer singing and playing piano throughout the evening, completely made up for the earlier confusion. Came on a Friday night at 7:30 with a reservation this is my second time here but at a different location. I got the prime ribeye with the lobster Mac and cheese. Terrible experience, start to finish. The bread was actually great, fresh and perfectly baked. That's where the good news ends. Our server disappeared for 20 minutes before taking our drink order, then another 20 for the drinks to arrive (the place wasn't even crowded). After finishing our drinks, we waited another 20-30 minutes just to order food. When it finally came, it wasn't worth the wait: overcooked, stale fries, dry entrees, and a sloppy, flavorless sushi roll. Getting the check took three separate requests. We were there for a total of two and a half hours and I promise we didn't want to be. Everyone at the table agreed it was the worst dinner we've had in Dallas -- and an expensive one at that. My wife and I visited Del Friscos for Valentine's Day and we left feeling "meh." Del Friscos is overpriced for what you get and the glavor / taste. I'm going to rundown everything we had - the bread was just meh. It tasted like it was finished with pretzel salt. Not old not bad, just bread. - half dozen oysters, quite small for$24. - Dynamite shrimp, tasty, maybe a little overcooked. No dynamite at all but good - Broccolini, needed salt. Well cooked but bland - Augratin potatoes were what you expect, but nothing more than that. - Lobster mac n cheese was pretty good - Ribeye steak, it was just a touch thicker than a smash burger. I hate thin steaks at a steakhouse. I ordered medium rare, they tried but you're not getting a crust on a steak that thin and keep it medium rare. - pork chops ... they're seasoned with something sweet, but weirdly sweet, distractingly sweet, but not sweet at the same time. It was not enjoyable. I can't even understand needing to send something back as, let's face it, basic as a pork chop because it tastes weird. We didn't have dessert because, nah Now on to some nitpicks things, that we could've overlooked if the food was better - they brought out an almost empty bottle of tobacco for the oysters. I'm accustomed to the little mini bottles. That bottle felt local diner not steakhouse. - the server went to box up the food we didn't finish, and didn't take it all at one time. Ok, whatever. But he came back with what he originally took boxed and bagged and then took the remaining item. - it took so long to get a second cocktail that I thought they simply forgot about it. I actually think that they did. This last one is just a thing of mine. I feel like the higher the menu prices the less of the servers thumb should touch the inside of my dish. Our server handled our appetizer dishes like we were over their house for a cookout. Del Friscos is underwhelming. It felt like we were cosplaying as patrons at a steakhouse. If you're on a diet don't think you're going here to eat a salad because the bread alone will get you. And now to the food... Lump Crab cake: 6/10 I've had better and although the sauce was a little basic, it paired well with the crab cake. The crab cake itself was light and had good flavor. Wish there was more than one for the price but I'd consider ordering it again. Mashed potatoes: 5/10 too buttery - I know - how? There's no such thing, but these were just sitting in butter and I didn't like the green onions cooked with them. This made them mushy and personally I would have preferred them on top to add a little "crunch" to the potatoes. Broccolini: 5/10 a little too greasy for me and not much flavor. Filet mignon: 8.5/10 tender and cooked well. Ordered the 8 oz and it was perfect for me. All the sauces: 5/10 Honestly I only liked 2 of the 4 sauces and they were the chimichurri and horseradish ones. They both paired well with the steak and enjoyed the flavors. Surf and turf, trio: 7/10 some of the steaks weren't cooked as asked but it was still enjoyed. The scallops are the star here and were cooked to perfection. I visited the restaurant yesterday for my friend's birthday and it was just ok. The waiter was great and agreed that we were seated at the most darkest table in the restaurant we could barely see our food. Me and my boyfriend ordered the crab cakes to share and it wasn't really shareable it was one crab cake that was crumbled, we also ordered the bang shrimp which tasted frozen and the roasted chicken which was horribly salty. We told the waiter but he apologized and kept serving. The only thing that I really enjoyed was the complimentary bread and the VIP drink. I stopped in to have drinks with a coworker at the end of the day so my review is just for the bar. The bartender was friendly and checked in on us just the right amount as we relaxed over some drinks after a day of client meetings. Being a whiskey person, they had plenty of offerings from all over. The bar and restaurant are both cozy and classy, suitable for numerous occasions. OMG this place is beautiful!!!!! I was in town for a convention and we decided to stop in and have dinner for my sons birthday. I am so glad we did, everything was amazing starting with the restaurants décor. They have so many bottles of wine inside of a beautiful glass cellar that goes all throughout the restaurant also from upstairs to downstairs. The server was EXTREMELY joyful and energetic. Service was superb I love that they cut your food and place it on your plate for you. You get what you pay for here, I take it they don't want their guests to lift a finger while dining here. The food was impeccable. the onion rings were huge, the size of a bracelet that would fit your wrist. The lobster was so juicy and tender and the butter came out over a tealight candle to keep it melted and to stay warm. The steak was tender and juicy as well. You won't leave this place upset about what you've spent once done. If you have a special someone that you want to takeout, or are looking for somewhere special to treat yourself, this is the place. UPDATE ON FIRST REVIEW: My first experience at Del Frisco's was unfortunately not a great one, and I left feeling really disappointed. However, what truly changed everything was how the situation was handled afterward. The manager, Mat, personally reached out to apologize, which honestly meant more than I expected. Not many places take the time to follow up after a complaint or a bad experience, so that alone spoke volumes. He invited me back to give the restaurant another chance so we could experience Del Frisco's the way it's meant to be. I went back with my friends and my brother to celebrate his birthday, and this time the experience was amazing. Our server, Sam, was incredible--attentive, kind, and on top of everything. I also got the chance to meet Mat in person, and he was just as genuine and welcoming as he was on the phone. The service and the food were excellent, and the entire night felt special from start to finish. Because of how the staff and management handled everything, Del Frisco's completely turned things around for me. We will definitely be going back, and I'll absolutely be bragging about how amazing the manager and staff were to me and my party that night. read more

November 2024- I've dined here a few times and as you would suspect from a high end steak house, it was very good! I started with a dirty gin martini ($19.50) that was good but not great and for an appetizer I ordered the King Crab Rainbow Roll ($31.00) pricey but it was an excellent roll!! I also had a bowl of the lobster bisque ($14.00) that was good and had a generous about of lobster chunks in it. My main course was an 8oz filet mignon ($56.00) that was delicious and cooked to a perfect medium rare. We also had a couple of sides the creamed spinach ($15.00) average at best and the sweet potato casserole ($16.00) and that was delicious!!
