My wife and I visited Del Friscos for Valentine's Day and we left feeling "meh." Del Friscos is overpriced for what you get and the glavor / taste. I'm going to rundown everything we had - the bread was just meh. It tasted like it was finished with pretzel salt. Not old not bad, just bread. - half dozen oysters, quite small for$24. - Dynamite shrimp, tasty, maybe a little overcooked. No dynamite at all but good - Broccolini, needed salt. Well cooked but bland - Augratin potatoes were what you expect, but nothing more than that. - Lobster mac n cheese was pretty good - Ribeye steak, it was just a touch thicker than a smash burger. I hate thin steaks at a steakhouse. I ordered medium rare, they tried but you're not getting a crust on a steak that thin and keep it medium rare. - pork chops ... they're seasoned with something sweet, but weirdly sweet, distractingly sweet, but not sweet at the same time. It was not enjoyable. I can't even understand needing to send something back as, let's face it, basic as a pork chop because it tastes weird. We didn't have dessert because, nah Now on to some nitpicks things, that we could've overlooked if the food was better - they brought out an almost empty bottle of tobacco for the oysters. I'm accustomed to the little mini bottles. That bottle felt local diner not steakhouse. - the server went to box up the food we didn't finish, and didn't take it all at one time. Ok, whatever. But he came back with what he originally took boxed and bagged and then took the remaining item. - it took so long to get a second cocktail that I thought they simply forgot about it. I actually think that they did. This last one is just a thing of mine. I feel like the higher the menu prices the less of the servers thumb should touch the inside of my dish. Our server handled our appetizer dishes like we were over their house for a cookout. Del Friscos is underwhelming. It felt like we were cosplaying as patrons at a steakhouse. It's ok, but there are better options for sure

I went here last Saturday for my birthday! The food was delicious and our waiter Brian was amazing! Enjoyed the cake they brought me for my birthday. Definitely recommend for date night or special occasion. You will not be disappointed.

I wanted to get out, listen to some live music, and enjoy a good meal without breaking the bank, so I stopped by Del Frisco's on a Wednesday night for their Shucked, Fried & Stirred bar special. The introduction was a bit off-putting. The hostess initially told me they didn't serve the dish and that it was only available at the Grill, not the restaurant. I pulled it up online to show her, but she still seemed unsure. When I went to the bar, both bartenders said the same thing--until someone finally pulled out the menu and there it was, listed right at the top. Not the best first impression. Once sorted, I ordered the Shucked, Fried & Stirred special, which is available at the bar only. For $39, you get a half dozen oysters, fries, a petite salad, and a martini--solid value. The food, paired with a fantastic entertainer singing and playing piano throughout the evening, completely made up for the earlier confusion. Overall, it ended up being a great solo date night spot, and I'll definitely return.

Came on a Friday night at 7:30 with a reservation this is my second time here but at a different location. I got the prime ribeye with the lobster Mac and cheese. Also with a moscato which was sweet how I liked it . The steak was sooo tender and cooked right and the Mac and cheese was nice and creamy will be back.

Del Frisco's takes Texas steakhouses and elevates the experience and food. We went on a Friday night and although we had reservations it wasn't too overly busy. It takes fine dining and does a great job of providing excellent service. Our server was great and felt like she really catered to what we wanted and provided a great experience. We started off with their wagyu meatballs and then got the lobster Mac and cheese and potatoes for sides. The sides are served family style and are great to share for the table. We had their dry aged ribeye which was really delicious and had notes of blue cheese flavor. All around great experience from food, service, and drinks. Definitely a spot I would go back to again.

Good food. Great service. Great time catching up with BFF. I haven't been to Del Frisco's in years, as there's certainly no shortage of steakhouses in Dallas and truly had a good time. Our waiter was amazing. I wish I could recall his name, but unfortunately, I cannot. I tried out the short ribs which were made really well. Overall, great experience.

I visited here during a restaurant week, and our service, food, and the atmosphere were excellent. I tried to come every year to a restaurant week because I enjoy the menu options in the food. It is always a 10 / 10 for me.

I came here alone for lunch to celebrate my birthday. It was nice and quiet. I got the surf and turf trio dish that came with scallops, shrimp and i think the third one was lobster. I don't remember but it was amazing. Paired it with a glass of wine. Service was quick and Vanessa served me well. I also got a birthday dessert which I think was the butter cake, which was also very delicious.

We came late for a friend birthday dinner and were there past closing but the owners and waiters were so accommodating! It's a very big restaurant with 2 floors. There's also free parking available but make sure to get it validated! I ordered the 16 oz ribeye and that steak was too delicious. The sides are family style and we loved them all from the broccolini, lobster Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes. Side note: for birthdays you can get a birthday cake, not for free - but is discounted!

So many appetizers were brought out I lost count of what everything was! But the appetizers were particularly delicious, as were the drinks! I tried the sea bass this time and I felt it fell sort of flat, sort of flavorless. Lovely private room and exceptional staff!

Fancy spot! You wouldn't mind if I review it, would you? Eating out in Dallas can get really…read moreexpensive, really quick. Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

WILL NEVER BE BACK!…read more HATED. EVERY. MOMENT. OF. THIS. PISS. POOR. EXPERIENCE. EVERY. SINGLE. MOMENT. VALET. NOT. FREE. I called before deciding where to eat on a Sunday afternoon to confirm parking situations. Parking is not easy downtown so this played a huge factor in figuring where, out of the dozens of brunch places, to eat. Definitely a bit of a walk to get accommodated at the actual restaurant so valet seemed the most reasonably enticing for parking solutions. Well, I called and spoke with the lady at the front desk. I confirmed with this little girl FOUR TIMES IF 1. They had valet available today 2. If it was complimentary. Come to find out it was not complimentary. And $7 for parking just doesn't sit well with me when there are ample free options else where with satisfying beverage, meal, ambiance, and service. All of which, I DID NOT GET AT HAYWIRE. I come in and although I had a reservation that I was 10 minutes early for while noticing tables available, I was told by that same girl who lied to me about parking I needed to take a seat. Reassuring me that it would only take two minutes to be seated. 10 minutes later I see coupled and groups walking in and guess what? They were immediately sat. While I am waiting to be sat at one of the three clean tables I'm staring at. I finally tell my boyfriend I am about to eat at the bar and he goes to the hostess stand to inform them our frustration and guess what? We were sat immediately. I get seated and there are two standing fans placed next to my table that's blowing my hair all over the f*****g place. I had to tell them to turn them off. What? No AC in this place either?? We immediately ordered and got the elk tacos for an appetizer. The tacos are WAY too spicy and way too salty. Too spicy AND too salty?? They're a no for me. You literally can't taste anything because of both! I HATED these little tacos. Probably the worst I've ever had. Ever seen someone attempt to pinch a bit of salt to season and the entire top comes off?? These tacos. My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak. He loved it (loves spicy and seasonings because he's Cajun) but I tried it and it was over seasoned. Again? Couldn't taste what I was eating. The mashed potatoes were divine. Enjoyed those! And then the green beans were tasteless. Hahaha what a joke. I ordered the barbacoa chilaquiles and it was literally too spicy to eat. Inedible. My eyes teared up, my nose started running, and I couldn't taste anything after a couple bites of the spice. I was so f*****g over this place I just ate my boyfriend's mashed potatoes and we left. If I had it my way, I wouldn't have paid for a thing here. They don't deserve our money and I HATE they got a cent from me. I'm livid. I hate this place W I L L N E V E R B E B A C K

We had an absolutely outstanding dinner at Truluck's last night. From the first sip of the Single Barrel Old Fashioneds to the last bite of dessert, every part of the evening exceeded expectations. We started with the Salt & Pepper Calamari, and after my first bite I literally said, "Oh my God." It may have been the best calamari I've ever had. The combination of blistered shishito peppers, red Fresno peppers, basil, sweet chili glaze, and dynamite aioli created an incredible balance of flavors with just the right amount of heat and crunch. An absolute culinary orgasm. For my entrée, I had the Redfish Pontchartrain with shrimp, crawfish, piquant Creole sauce, and rice pilaf. The fish was perfectly cooked; tender, flaky, and complemented by a sauce that delivered just the right amount of spice without overpowering the dish. My girlfriend ordered the Scallop & Shrimp Sauté over Florentine cauliflower rice with lemon vinaigrette. The scallops and shrimp were cooked flawlessly, tender and buttery, and she couldn't stop talking about how delicious it was. We finished by sharing the carrot cake. Between the rich cream cheese icing, spicy pecans, and warm butterscotch sauce poured over the top, it was decadent without being overly sweet. Smooth, crunchy, rich, and absolutely unforgettable. Our server, Paloma, was exceptionally warm, personable, and incredibly attentive without ever being intrusive. She anticipated what we needed before we had to ask, making an already wonderful meal even more enjoyable. The bar is beautifully designed, our booth offered a fantastic view of the city, and the overall atmosphere struck the perfect balance between elegant and comfortable.
