We finally checked this place out for lunch and had a great experience. The place is spacious with seating at the bar and dining room. We had a comfortable booth just for the 2 of us. Our server Alex was amazing. He was personable and gave great recommendations. We started with the deviled egg appetizer. The order came with 5 and they had great flavor, especially with the bacon jam. My wife ordered the seared ahi sandwich and I tried the London broil steak frites. Everything had great flavor and came out quick. My steak was cooked perfectly. The portion sizes matched the price. We can't wait to come back to try more menu items. read more

We enjoyed everything we got for lunch. The deviled eggs were really good. I was pleasantly surprised. I also got the Caesar salad with chicken. The chicken was good, but the salad was just ok. I didn't taste the guac, but I did have the pimento cheese and it was good, but a bit spicy. My sister got the tuna rice cakes. She said that it was good, but needed like an aioli drizzle. New Year's Eve dinner was at Neighborhood services this year. It was great because it was regular dinning and not inflated for the holiday. All of our other favorites spots added a price fixe menu and prices were absurd. So sad. However, NS, knew how to do it right. The host and hostesses were very friendly and welcoming right from the get go. Beautiful restaurant inside and packed to the max that night. Our server was very kind and was very busy but did his best. We had several servers and managers come by to deliver food and drinks as well. It was a team effort. It was a wonderful evening. Just moved back to Dallas and decided to come have dinner here again. This has never been a bad spot but in the six months since we left something has for sure changed. The food was the best it's ever been, our waiter (Marcus) was super attentive and on point with the recommendations. The burger sometimes comes out uncut so if that is something that is really important to you, I suggest you request to get it cut to save your server a trip. 5 stars. If I could give more stars, I would. I was recently part of a large group on a Saturday night. Our server, Marcus, was exceptional. Great sense of humor, energy, and calmly took care of our group celebrating 3 birthdays. A storm came in and knocked out power halfway through our visit. All the wait staff and managers came over to give us their attention and took exceptional care of us. We had to leave quickly and take food to go, per safety requirements. The whole team managed chaos in the dark with complete calmness. They even went as far as to hang a small rechargeable light above our table so we could make light of the situation. We left phone numbers and took record of our orders and offered to pay when the power came back. We didn't expect this but ultimately they wrote off the meal. Very warm gesture. Came for a last minute work holiday dinner having never heard of this place before and boy was i pleasantly surprised. When you enter it's a large place with plenty of options for parties of varying sizes. They have a lot of options on the menu, but the menu isn't overly large..: thankfully. They have plenty of drink options but i recommend the old fashioned. Also the fish of the day was amazing paired with the brussel sprouts. Love this place! No idea why it doesn't have better reviews. Moved to the neighborhood 6mos ago and have sat at the bar every other week since. Bartenders are super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Always enjoy the ahi avocado crudo and their HUGE serving of fries. Pro tip: get the voodoo sauce to dip your fries in. Absolutely loved! We came with good friends of ours who visit the other location often but wanted to try this one. The vibe is wonderfully family focused but does change as it get later. We had an amazing server, Zach (pretty sure, lots of drinks) and he was a delight! We had the most fun laughing with him and his recommendations were spot on for food - half of us had the Sole special and we bonded over Gin espresso martinis. Seriously ask for his section because you will not regret the great service and laughs. We can't wait to come back with friends and eventually will bring our two girls for a night out. I've visited the Oaklawn location twice and they consistently deliver good food, great service, and welcoming atmosphere.

Came here for a girls night on New Years Eve and you're greeted right away by the host stand when you walk in. We were taken to our table immediately and our server was amazing! Unfortunately I do not remember her name but she knew the menu and specials like it was on the back of her hand. She recommended a lot to us and the food came out quick. My favorite were the meatballs and Mac and cheese. My main dish was the pasta special of the night which was basically pot roast on noodles, wasn't a huge fan. My friends had the veal, angry lobster and a fish special of the night and had no complaints. Menu has a lot of options so I'd come back and try something new. read more

We stumbled upon this restaurant. We were surprised to see that they are a sister restaurant to two of our favs National Anthem and Townhearth. Walked in without a reservation and got lucky with a seating right away. The place was packed. Our server Pete was awesome. The food and atmosphere were both . Family friendly. Pros: 1. Food is generally good (but not everything). The best dish was a tie between the fried asparagus and the rock shrimp appetizer. 2. The brussels sprouts were good. The pizzas and the pork chop were decent. 3. The soda water is particularly bubbly and carbonated here. Cons: 1. My colleague is a regular (and diehard fan) at the original NS location and insists that the food at this second location is different than the original recipe and not as good, and that the service is not as good. 2. The veggie enchilada was disappointing. You would think there are more roasted veggies inside the tortilla but it's just a huge heap of shredded lettuce/cabbage on top. Probably the worst thing we ordered. 3. We asked if we could get the large shrimp (which was supposed to be a great appetizer at the original location but missing from the menu here). We were told that we would be charged the full price of the pasta and shrimp entree but just not get the pasta - it felt cold and "take it or leave it". I get if some requests don't work at various restaurants but there are better ways to go about this and get us excited about another dish. For me spending $1000 here for my group's dinner, it felt like the service wasn't the best to encourage me to come back. 4. Very stingy on the guac for the chips and guac. read more

Food was great but we ordered a drink at the beginning of the meal. Appetizer and entree came. Two waitresses went to check. Finally we had to ask a manager. Recently opened in the former Paul Martins space NS has done a fantastic job at renovating the space and feels like its always been a NS. The menu follows the same structure and staple offerings as the other NS locations and the quality of the food is on par. My girlfriend and I went to dine at Neighborhood Services, and to be completely honest, I was very impressed. My server was great, but the manager on duty is what sold me. I believe his name was Martin. He was running food, touching tables, and at the host stand. As someone who works in the service industry myself, I commend him. The food was fabulous. We ordered the crab dip, fried asparagus, shrimp dynamite, and Brussels sprouts. I wouldn't even be able to say which one was my favorite as they were all amazing. Recently visited my best friend and we came here as a 5 person group for dinner last minute. Inside the restaurant, there is dim lighting and a great warm ambience due to the style of the chairs, tables, the bar, etc. The service was great, our waitress was attentive and friendly. We ordered a dozen/thirteen raw oysters and they were great. For my entree, I ordered the scallops and they were amazing. Definitely some of the best scallops I've tasted. My boyfriend said his Cobb salad was tasty, my best friend said her veggie enchiladas were great, and my little brother said his aged wagyu was amazing. My little brother's girlfriend ordered one of the specials--veggie pasta--and said the pasta was undercooked but overall okay. I would take off stars if this was my dish, but I never tasted it and my overall experience with the food was amazing. I ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc to match my scallops and the New Zealand one is great--crisp and refreshing. We will definitely be returning. read more

This place is so good. I've been here multiple times for large group work dinners and the service is always 10/10. I've had a ton of different things on the menu and I don't think I've ever disliked anything. My absolute favorite items are the Pops Martini Salad (order it dirty!), the fried gulf shrimp app, and I usually go for whatever their specials are (either the pasta of the day or fish of the day). Oh and do not pass on the Brussel sprouts, they're a must. Overall this place has great service especially with large groups, consistently good food, and they're fast! Highly recommend. read more

Soggy batter on fish made them inedible so when I asked to return the fish, they didn't ask if I would prefer a different dish or apologize for the bad meal.
