Went here with for a company dinner. It was okay. Cheesesticks were a win for appetizers, large portions & plenty on each serving that came out. The cesar salad was overly drenched in dressing, the dressing is good but it was a just alot. We do appreciate that there are alternative options offered not within the menu we had set, I think someone mentioned there was an alfredo & maybe another fish such as salmon? I can't remember all the reasons why we asked but I know one reason was because they said they could not cater to the individual steak preferences in large groups, made sense in an efficiency way when they explained it. What they didn't tell us after some chose not order steak for that very reason, was that after anyone who ordered steak & cut into it, they could back to cook it longer based on each individual's preference. I'm allergic to shrimp, I ordered the steak with vegetables. I did inform the waiter that I had a shrimp allergy, he was gracious & asked me a few questions to help better address my food preparation. A few minutes later another staff member, maybe a manager, comes in & thanks us for choosing there restaurant. Then he asks who has the allergy & asks the same questions the waiter asked me. It just put me on the spotlight that I (nor several of my coworkers) felt was necessary. It wasn't embarrassing but more annoying seeing how our waiter had been thorough, or come to me one on one just to reconfirm if needed. I felt bad for my coworkers because they now had genuine concern I might be exposed to something since many had shrimp dishes. I will say that I did enjoy the steak & asparagus. Dessert was delicious, a great creme brulee & the cheesecake slices were generous! Also, there were larger amounts of time between when the first person got their salad or soup to when the last person received theirs, same situation with the entrées. In both phases they basically asked who was missing what & then asked what they had. Refills & drinks, the same. Maybe they were short handed but if they were, we wished they would've communicated that so we could anticipate any timing issues. Aside from the allergy thing, the staff tending to us were very polite. First timer here...and everyone who mentioned this place said they loved it, so I came in having high expectations. As we entered the hostess told us to let the server know if we are celebrating something...which was a little weird to me but I realized that this was a place to go for celebrations as there were quite a few "parties"...funny enough while we did have an occasion we didn't get any special seating or anything. Our server told us they do that so the manager can decide if they want to do something special. Spoiler alert...nothing happened. He was friendly and did everything as expected. It was on the busier side which made the dining room was a little loud, and crowded however it didn't effect how long the whole process took. We were able to order and get our food rather quickly, and everything was fresh and tasted good and we were satisfied with the portion sizes. I ordered the Mardi Gras pasta, a mix of linguine, andouille sausage slices, shrimp and mushrooms (menu says crayfish too, but I didn't notice any: did I conflate them with the shrimp??) in a spicy (though not too spicy for this heat wimp) tomato cream sauce. Waitress asked if I'd like French bread or garlic bread to go with: I said yes ... and got four big pieces of not-very-garlicy but good bread as an appetizer. Luke was our waiter and he rushed us a lot! My daughter asked for a combo that wasn't necessarily on the menu. They had every combination other than shrimp and crawfish. He quickly said there would be an up charge. That had never happened before and this is what she orders every time so I asked him to check and see if that was normal. He came back later and tried to show me how it had to be rung up - the option was a random button that said combo upcharge I think. I told him no problem. I still don't understand how a $23 item turned into $29. I didn't complain because our food was good. BUT Luke thought it was ok to leave all the empty dishes/glasses on the table. He never cleared them and seemed offended when I asked him for French bread to go. $150 plus an 18% tip later (2 people-appetizer, sodas, 2 entrees and dessert), I was very underwhelmed with the whole experience. We were sitting at a bar booth closets to the entrance and the hostesses were howling laughing the whole time which was distracting and unprofessional. I am from New Orleans and the food here is expensive and inauthentic in recipe, but everything is usually tasty coupled with a lively environment. I'm sad to say that for the price, there are so many other places we could have gone. I'm not sure how I feel about spending another dime to support this restaurant. We must have been too busy talking and laughing that we didn't noticed the server placing the wrong plates in front of us. There was a certain table nearby that was excessively loud and we tried to not let it ruin our mood. There were times we had to shout at each other to be heard. While I think it's great to go out and enjoy your party's company, consideration for other diners in a certain setting should be practiced. The staff could've been tact about this. I made a reservation 2 weeks in advance and we were seated immediately upon arrival, it was a busy Saturday night but the service was still quite good. I ordered the ribeye steak with baked potato and broccolinni and she ordered the grilled shrimp Alfredo pasta. My steak was cooked a perfect medium rare and tasted delicious, the broccolinni and potato were really good also. She liked the Shimp Alfredo pasta as well and also was a fan of the steak and broccolinni as I shared some with her, we ordered the Vanilla cheesecake which came with fresh strawberries and it was so good!
