In town for the (long-delayed) Rush concert, stopped here for lunch/dinner before the show. (It's one of fairly few restaurants near Dickies Arena.) I ordered the Mardi Gras pasta, a mix of linguine, andouille sausage slices, shrimp and mushrooms (menu says crayfish too, but I didn't notice any: did I conflate them with the shrimp??) in a spicy (though not too spicy for this heat wimp) tomato cream sauce. Waitress asked if I'd like French bread or garlic bread to go with: I said yes ... and got four big pieces of not-very-garlicy but good bread as an appetizer. The pasta was delicious and a pretty big serving, enough so that I had to pass on dessert. Service was good, with a proactive drink refill. read more

First timer here...and everyone who mentioned this place said they loved it, so I came in having high expectations. As we entered the hostess told us to let the server know if we are celebrating something...which was a little weird to me but I realized that this was a place to go for celebrations as there were quite a few "parties"...funny enough while we did have an occasion we didn't get any special seating or anything. Our server told us they do that so the manager can decide if they want to do something special. Spoiler alert...nothing happened. He was friendly and did everything as expected. It was on the busier side which made the dining room was a little loud, and crowded however it didn't effect how long the whole process took. We were able to order and get our food rather quickly, and everything was fresh and tasted good and we were satisfied with the portion sizes. The food was ok. Not the best but not the worst. Me and my sister ordered the Pappadeaux platter which was suppose to have more shrimp and crawfish tails it definitely didn't have more shrimp as my boyfriend order the seafood platter and there was the same amount of shrimp. Also there were no crawfish on our platters. We notified the waiter who then bought us out plates of like warm crawfish. The restaurant was nice but unable to accommodate our group of 12. So we sat at 2 tables very far apart. The fish on our platters were fried well but had no flavor. The shrimp and crawfish fondue was really good though. 1seafood platter 1 Pappadeaux platter 1 shrimo and crawfish fondue and 2 Arnold palmers came to $121 and change. We left a $21 dollar tip as well bringing the total to $142 and some change. read more

Went here with for a company dinner. It was okay. Cheesesticks were a win for appetizers, large portions & plenty on each serving that came out. The cesar salad was overly drenched in dressing, the dressing is good but it was a just alot. We do appreciate that there are alternative options offered not within the menu we had set, I think someone mentioned there was an alfredo & maybe another fish such as salmon? I can't remember all the reasons why we asked but I know one reason was because they said they could not cater to the individual steak preferences in large groups, made sense in an efficiency way when they explained it. What they didn't tell us after some chose not order steak for that very reason, was that after anyone who ordered steak & cut into it, they could back to cook it longer based on each individual's preference. I'm allergic to shrimp, I ordered the steak with vegetables. I did inform the waiter that I had a shrimp allergy, he was gracious & asked me a few questions to help better address my food preparation. A few minutes later another staff member, maybe a manager, comes in & thanks us for choosing there restaurant. Then he asks who has the allergy & asks the same questions the waiter asked me. It just put me on the spotlight that I (nor several of my coworkers) felt was necessary. It wasn't embarrassing but more annoying seeing how our waiter had been thorough, or come to me one on one just to reconfirm if needed. I felt bad for my coworkers because they now had genuine concern I might be exposed to something since many had shrimp dishes. I will say that I did enjoy the steak & asparagus. Dessert was delicious, a great creme brulee & the cheesecake slices were generous! Also, there were larger amounts of time between when the first person got their salad or soup to when the last person received theirs, same situation with the entrées. In both phases they basically asked who was missing what & then asked what they had. Refills & drinks, the same. Maybe they were short handed but if they were, we wished they would've communicated that so we could anticipate any timing issues. Aside from the allergy thing, the staff tending to us were very polite. Maybe it's more of a training issue higher up because they seemed to be doing their best, but right now it's a miss at this location. read more

The food was really good, and our server did an amazing job--she stayed on top of everything the entire night. The music added to the vibe, with a great playlist that made the atmosphere even better. For an appetizer, I had the fried calamari and octopus which was perfectly crunchy and full of flavor. I ordered the seafood pasta for my main dish--it was delicious! We have always enjoyed this place, we started coming here over a decade ago for our anniversary. The Salmon Evette, which is no longer on the menu, is really good, and they can still make it today. We had our office Christmas dinner here this year. I made a reservation but due to traffic came a little late. They worked us back in after a little wait. This place, like other locations, gets busy in the evenings. On top of that, there were a couple of other company groups as well. We were seated not long after but service was definitely slow. We ordered the fried calamari and fondeuax for appetizers. Both were great as usual. I ordered my favorite Atlantic Salmon Alexander which I had been looking forward to all week. Halfway through my meal, I realized something was off. To my dismay, I noticed I had been eating the wrong entree. My plate was being consumed by my boss and I was eating his Mississippi Catfish Opelousas. To be fair, both dishes look similar and we had a good laugh about it. We must have been too busy talking and laughing that we didn't noticed the server placing the wrong plates in front of us. There was a certain table nearby that was excessively loud and we tried to not let it ruin our mood. There were times we had to shout at each other to be heard. While I think it's great to go out and enjoy your party's company, consideration for other diners in a certain setting should be practiced. The staff could've been tact about this. I made a reservation 2 weeks in advance and we were seated immediately upon arrival, it was a busy Saturday night but the service was still quite good. I ordered the ribeye steak with baked potato and broccolinni and she ordered the grilled shrimp Alfredo pasta. My steak was cooked a perfect medium rare and tasted delicious, the broccolinni and potato were really good also. She liked the Shimp Alfredo pasta as well and also was a fan of the steak and broccolinni as I shared some with her, we ordered the Vanilla cheesecake which came with fresh strawberries and it was so good! We started with a crab cake to share, and the crab around the crab cake was delicious in the butter sauce. The crab cake itself has far too much breading to account for the price of almost $35.00. I had the mixed seafood grill and he has the fried shrimp. My seafood grill was good, but the salmon was undercooked for my taste, almost raw. The shrimp and the scallops were very good. The dirty rice was not as spicy as I recall it being in past visits. His fried shrimp was also very good. Craving oysters on the half shell.... Arrived and greeted by a nice waiter and and a waitress in training. Learned they didn't have oysters today. Frustrated we opted to leave but wanted to share the concern with management. Interesting enough, all of a sudden they had Oysters. Prices have gone up and I expect more from a Papadeaux. It should be noted this particular restaurant wasn't busy. Today, 12/12/23 Craving Shrimp..arrived and was seated promptly. Created by a waiter that was loud. Extremely loud. Enquired about the shrimp as the menu indicated sm and medium and I didn't want "popcorn shrimp". The waiter struggled but indicated they were now smaller but you got more, like one more. SMH. Spoke to the manager, Tristin. Nice and professional and echoed what the waiter had explained.
