The Strawberry Mangeaux Tango was so good and so strong. I was pleasantly surprised by it's strength with it being a daiquiri, so I give props to the bartenders at this location. My friend raved about her go-to; shrimp and crawfish fondue. It was full of large succulent shrimp, plenty of crawfish, mushroom and spices that could honestly make it a meal. The long garlic bread that it came with was cheesy and buttery. It was very much worth the sacrifice of having so much cheese and bread in one sitting which I typically stay away from. I ordered the crispy Atlantic salmon & scallop entree which was very good. I would have liked more crab meat and an additional scallop for balance, but the portion provided was enough for me to enjoy for lunch the next day. It's hard to ruin spinach, so needless to say, it was good. The glaze didn't give me much of a ginger flavor, as listed, but it had an Asian inspired flavor with a slight kick to it that I enjoyed. There was a wait and plenty of parties at this location. The service we received was good. I was told that the food usually arrives faster than it did during this visit, but it didnt seem inappropriate given how packed the place was. This visit was the embodiment of the service, the food, and the atmosphere I was accustomed to when visiting this location and my last visit must've been a one off fluke...although the hostesses could use a better attitude and be more welcoming. The entire time I was in Atlanta my friend talked about this nice place to sit and eat good food. On the very last day in Georgia we all made it. Walking in is pretty amazing, the entrance and walk/walkway to the front door is a sight to see. Alot of beautifully landscaped outside area to sit, dine, or hangout. There are waterfalls, fireplaces and the whole shabang outside. The inside is very well maintained/decorated and artfully put together, but above all else the excellent service & professionalism of the people really stood out. Our host/waiter Scott was a great host, super attentive,made great suggestions, was fully knowledgeable of the menu and made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. Considering the ambiance/look/service of this restaraunt I was shocked at how reasonable the prices were...definately no place I'm aware of in Cali like this. I paid about $16 for my meal and could have easily paid $29. I had grilled oysters smothered in cheeses for the first time, it was either really good, or the cheese did the damn thing. For my main dish I ordered the 4 stuffed shrimp, I love stuffed shrimp, but they are usually pretty small and appetizer like. Not here, the stuffed shrimp are literally the size of a medium balled up fist. They are super tasty. My friends all ate different dishes including fried catfish, red beans and rice with cheese grits and the shrimp and grits. Everyone enjoyed theirs meals and were equally full and satisfied. My daughter had a craving for a good steak all week long, having had the ribeye steak at the restaurant years ago I decided to take her to Pappadeaux in Marietta for her birthday. Plus I had a craving for the alligator appetizer. We normally order 2 entrees and share. We ordered the signature ribeye steak and the trout. The alligator, trout, vegetables, and shrimp were delicious, but the steak was terrible, we did not eat it. First of all both my daughter and I agreed that the cut of meat did not look like a ribeye steak, it was over cooked and had tough gristles throughout the meat (+$50 steak). After bringing our meal they also stated that the side dish of sliced potatoes was missing and they were out of potatoes. Why didn't they tell us this earlier. We had already been waiting for nearly an hour. They offered a baked potato instead, the potato came after we had finished our meal (30 mins later). The steak by far was the worst steak I had ever had in a restaurant. The manager took it back to the kitchen and the chef stated that the cut was a filet mignon. That made me even more upset, because the quality of the cut in no way resembled a filet mignon and that should be their premier cut of beef. It seemed to me that the restaurant attempted to serve a lesser grade of meat and we called them out on it. I have never had a bad experience at this chain before and this one time ruined a very special moment with my daughter, who just wanted a delicious steak on her birthday. The manager removed the charge from our bill and provided a gift card to my daughter, for which I am appreciative. Food here was good! We tried almost everything and it was really good , the sever was nice , it was really just the wait after we sat down to get our food is what knocked it down a star. She mixes up our drinks so we had to wait for replace drinks to come , and by the time we got our food we just took it to go we were for for almost 45 mins to a hour surviving off of the appetizer dip we ate the second it hit the table , but besides all that I'd return ! read more

We waited 2 hours to eat. My daughter & granddaughter wanted Hibachi. I begged them to stay because the food is ALWAYS good. It doesn't matter what you order, you will be satisfied. Delvin approached me like a hoodlum. I was actually scared. Gold chain, un groomed beard, not dressed well & braids going back. The servers & (Jordan ) where all kind & apologized for the on Delvin told me I only had one choice. I started to go back on forth with him but he just walked off. I come to pappaduex once to 3 times a week. The food is ALWAYS on point & I mean ALWAYS. My server Ariel at the Alpharetta location, she put in my order in as soon as she see me. I get fresh lobster like clock work. Delvin was very RUDE & do not need to be a manager at ANY location. MOST of the time when Im at pappadeaux they comment on my IG & ask me how was my food. I NEVER complain. David came over like a manager & handled the situation that wasn't my FAULT. Again not my fault. He was well mannered, soft spoken, clean cut, & well well very dressed (tie). Weekends are very crowded. The food Is scrumptious . Pricey but worth it . I get the king crab legs and they are cooked to perfection. The catfish is also a favorite. The sides are good and the portions are fair. Drinks are just ok . I usually get a beer or soda. The menu has something for everyone's tastebuds. Recommend going during the week. read more

Yesterday after church my family and some friends decided to dine at this resturant that use to be one of my favorites . The whole experience yesterday was horrible. Not only did we have to deal with rude staff but food was cold , food was under cooked . This resturant keeps declining in it's experience and I'm at the point where I'll never go back . Fish is not something you can serve cold , red beans and rice shouldn't be crunchy , at least they got the appetizers right . That's why they got a 2 from me . The gulf oysters were amazing. Comes with three sauces and the cajun one is the best if you love heat. The group was the best fish. The spice with butter sauce on it was light yet beautiful! The jumbo prawns were perfect! The mahi mahi was cooked perfectly and the amount of crawfish was crazy good. The shrimp and crawfish fondeaux was a full meal. Excellent sauce. Great appetizer. So disappointed in the service we received today. We were at our table for almost 30 minutes and had not seen our server once. I finally had to get up and ask whose table was ours. Another 15 minutes go by someone stops and brings water.... Didn't ask or say anything. As i type this we've been at our table for an hour with no food.... I guess i should have ate before i came....i wish i could say it got better, but it didn't. Javonte was the saving grace of our visit. He wasn't our server but tried to assist us. He even got a manager involved. We tipped him because at least he tried. The managers were very apologetic and compted our appetizers for our food taking so long, and the bad service,But we repeatedly had to ask for a sever even for the check. Food is always great, however they have a tendency to be cold some of the food . That is a pet peeve. Service is okay. Sometimes it's not good sometimes it's great. The manager was rude as hell when our waiter ignored us, and I still didn't get my food they way I wanted so why ask if you want it well , medium or rare.
