Popped in last week for a sit down meal. Upon entering, we were greeted by the waitstaff and was able to choose our seating. The menu selection offers a variety of choices. However, keep in mind that some items may not be available (depending on vendor availability due to tariffs). Outside of that, the food was definitely made with love. We were able to meet the owner who was very personable and love meeting his customers. The inside is very open and spacious. Plenty of TVs around the restaurant to keep you entertained. My food pic is from my to-go order that was placed (hush puppies did not come with the plate, they were ordered as a side item). The food is seasoned very well and will have you curling on the couch for an afternoon nap. Stop second guessing and head on over to Sweeties Crab Shack. Had lunch here today. It was an awesome experience. Do you see the sandwich in this picture. OMG! it was seasoned well and cooked to perfection . Can wait to return to try the whole catfish. Don't get it twisted if you don't like catfish...NO PROBLEM!! They have a variety types of fish. There is plenty other seafood items. The collard greens was fresh(not canned) and seasoned like our grandmother would cook them. I'm not a Mac-n-cheese fan but I enjoyed it here at Sweetie's. Ambiance was very warm and welcoming. Enjoyed old school music I hadn't heard in a while. It would be very disrespectful not to mention the very handsome and well respectful young man that provided service. He was very customer oriented, warm and welcoming. Always greeting with a smile when returning to check on me. I give this establishment a 5 star epic rating. Will revist again very very soon. I believe the owner is doing everything in his power to make this location a go. It seems that there are other contributing factors that have made it difficult due to changes in food options and such. Arriving at lunchtime in a busy hospital adjacent locale, and so close to Downtown Marietta where there are many lunch break bound workers one should be promptly greeted, immediately told what is not available and so on. Also, if short staffed and clear out of the business control, set a menu down, immediately advise what all is not available, and ask what they want to drink. Do not bring empty water cups, and silverware, and walk away. We peons have 1 hour for lunch usually, so we need to get all that immediately. It appears their investors decided to do away with some very popular seafood lovers staples, and Shrimp n Grits are a winner for most southern food lovers, but no longer available here. Then say that immediately, not 20 minutes into nringing empty water cups. Additionally, a business owner should have basic knowledge of the wines being sold. You don't need to know the region, but at least know that (white) wines aren't kept room temperature in the USA, and likely not sitting warm, out on the counter, so that your customers point at them as you suggested. It isn't that hard to open the cooler, see that you have, and take a mental Pic. Also you should prepare your business for success, by stocking the few wine options properly that morning. We left with no food or drink and only 25 minutes left in our lunch break. Thankfully, we scored a parking spot right in front of McCrakens on the square, and the lovely PATTY met us upon entering the establishment and gave us the well known service we love and deserve during out 1 hr lunch break. 2 STARS for location and effort given by the owner who may be Overwhelmed read more

I went to Sweeties Crab Shack on opening day & I thought the food and service was really good. On opening day there were only a few options to choose from. I got the catfish plate that comes with 2 sides. For my sides I chose Mac and cheese and collard greens. The Mac and cheese was so good. The collard greens had great flavor, but too many stems. The catfish was very flavorful. I was a little disappointed that they didn't offer tarter sauce as one of the condiments. I hope they add that as an offering in the future. The owner was very nice along with the lady who worked took the orders. I'll definitely be back to check out more items. They are a great addition to the Towncenter Mall food court in Kennesaw. read more

The food was great the owner was really nice and came out to greet us. I had the catfish plate with collard greens and Cajun fries, the food came out hot and you could tell it was fresh, the catfish was really good and had a good fry to it, the collard greens were good with good seasoning, overall the food and service were really good, would recommend to anyone in the area. read more

This restaurant failed in all categories. My guest and I arrived at 5:45PM; we were served approximately 2 hours later on a Saturday evening with no explanation during the interim. There was only one server, she took our order on a steno pad. She was obviously overwhelmed by the situation. Every hour we were told 20 minute wait for our dinner. About 8:00PM, a gentleman came in to our table to give us a frivolous explanation and very unbelievable! The most amazing thing is that no one ever came out to apologize or offer any amends! Obviously we will never recommend this restaurant to anyone, and if they're still around in a year, in only suggest the patrons don't know the truth or have very low expectations of what to expect from a restaurant. read more

We came for blue crabs and sadly they didn't have any but believe their supply issues have been resolved. Staff and owner were extremely friendly and attentive and made great alternate suggestions -- my son has his first crawfish boil and loved it! I had possibly the sweetest, melt in your mouth catfish ever and my husband had a delicious gumbo. Definitely recommend and would definitely go back next time we are in Marietta! read more

Do not go here!!!! We were a table of 4 ladies on Sunday at 1:00. There was only 1 other table there. Had to ask for menus and then had to ask for service. No sweet tea, no hot tea, and the list goes on. Our food came out 1 plate at a time, with a good 10 minutes between each. I called to order food to pick up. After I ordered the first item, I was given a list of about 5 items that were not available. I went ahead and continued with my order. During this time, I was told the crab and shrimp mac and cheese was only available on weekends. I chose the burger. It was also unavailable. I chose fried chicken. A few minutes later, I got a call back that the chicken tenders (I ordered kid's chicken tenders and chicken and waffles) were not available. I was told the order would be ready in 20 minutes or so. When I arrived 30 minutes later, the food was still not ready. Then, I was told that there were no waffles. The owner was apologetic and refunded the chicken and waffles, as well as the kids meal. I was under the impression that we would at least still have the chicken from the chicken and waffle meal. I was wrong. Additionally, the "fried chicken" meal was chicken wings. So I was missing one meal, and the kids meal and one entree were chicken wings...which were fried in fish fry cornmeal. The other food was decent (fried catfish, red beans and rice, seafood gumbo). But overall, the experience was bad, and we will not be trying this again. "Things happen," is what I was told, and they do. However, if you can't deliver on half of your menu, it's probably time to make some adjustments to your menu and your ordering habits. read more

First, the ambiance is tremendous, and the service was A+! Ordered the whole catfish and scoffed it down. The potato salad reminded me of my grandmother's. Did not care for the collards but that's a matter of taste. The owner visited our table a few times, and made us feel welcome. I went to this place out of impulse when we were in the mall. I must say that the food was seasoned to perfection! The greens were the best I've had since I moved to Georgia. Literally they were as good as mine! The Catfish was crispy on the outside and flaky on in the inside. The Yams and Mac and cheese were excellent as well. As I saw people just walking by and going to the chain restaurants I just shook my head and thought, "they don't know what they are missing"! Apparently, this restaurant has been open since December, but I never noticed it. On Saturday, I began having craving for Crab Cakes and was searching for something good close to my home. Passing through the Town Center Mall in Kennesaw, GA, I found this restaurant in the food court, and I had to give it a try. I was pricing Crab Cakes wherever I could find it all over metro Atlanta, and I was a little surprised at the prices I found and this platter of three Cakes for $16.00 was pretty inexpensive compared to my research. I decided to order a side of potato salad because the photos looked very enticing. But, they were out, and I settled on Cajun Fries instead. I ordered to go and received my order, and the portions were a lot larger than I had anticipated. Had I known, I would not have ordered the fries. The cakes were served over rice, and it would have been nice to have been told that ahead of time, but the food was very good, and I will be back. read more

Was walking in the mall (Town center) and remembered there was a new restaurant here to check out. Im glad I did. This place is definitely the place to get soul food when you don't feel like cooking (or if you can't cook). Took about 15 minutes but that's because the food was FRESH which is how you want your friend food. And the prices are VERY reasonable compared to other restaurants of similar quality.
