My friend Linda and I had an excellent lunch at this Atlanta Pappadeauxs. Our server, Will, was exceptional. The restaurant is gorgeous with an amazing patio overlooking a garden rainforest. We split the seafood Cobb salad. Yum yum. Huge portions, so splitting was just right. Drank at least two pitchers of the perfectly refreshing unsweetened ice tea. Finished by splitting the key lime pie. Too good to describe, but worth mentioning that whipped cream is hand made on site (as I'm sure is probably true of the pie as well - the berries were great). I visited this restaurant for a friends birthday and could not have enjoyed myself more. The service was spectacular. Rusty is an amazing server. He was very attentive. He was very professional. He got all of our orders correct we were a party of over 10 and not one time did he seem overwhelmed he remained friendly and personable the entire time our food arrived quickly fresh and hot. It was just an amazing experience. I ordered the seafood pasta. It was spectacular. It was seasoned beautifully as my appetizer I got the mozzarella sticks. They are huge for one person so definitely two people can share. No one complained about their food. Oh my drink was amazing. My drink was some type of refresher type drink in a pineapple glass. When I found out I was going to Georgia, I knew I'd be stopping at a Papadeaux location for sure! This location did not disappoint. My husband and I shared a bowl of Gumbo which was amazing and full of flavor. I ordered their Crawfish Salad and he had Marci Gras Pasta. Both dishes were YUMMY! My family and I visited and it was super busy which is usually a good sign. We chose to sit at the bar since the wait for a table that we could all sit together at was a 2 hour wait. We ordered drinks and appetizers with the amazing bartenders. They were all very helpful and attentive. I got the grouper which was topped with crab meat and shrimp and had a lemon butter sauce on it. It was delicious and fresh! The restaurant was dimly lit which definitely gave romantic vibes. This used to be my go to spot but it's really declining. I tried to order the oysters they were out, along with the crab fingers and bisque. A family member ordered the gumbo which was watery. We went to celebrate a graduation so it was kind of packed the tables were all bunched together, and the lighting was dim. Our server was very nice and on his job as we had 2 tables. I drive out of the way to come to this Papadeux because the one in Norcross is so horrible now. This location has great food and cocktails. I was very pleased to have my favorites cooked the way I remember them. Customer service was great and staff (not my server) really made me feel special on my birthday. My only complaint was my server that neglected my table to pander to an older white man seated next to me. I assume tht she thought tht she would get a better tip from him. I tip well but I know the bias tht is attached to ppl with my appearance dining out. I only wish tht I could have been given just as great service and allowed to represent myself. The place is a beautiful peaceful restaurant. Very well decorated . We had calamari well seasoned and crispy. Garlic bread very good . Was there 7/11/2026 had a reservation for 8:00. Waited an hour to be seated. It was hot and muggy I have asthma the heat triggered my asthma standing outside. The hostess kept giving us the running around about our time to be seated. She told us a group had been sitting for two and a half hours they couldn't tell them to get up. My server was excellent but the hostess was horrible. We sat so long we made reservation to the Mexican restaurant next door. My son went inside and told them how long we were waiting. But our waitress was one of the worst we've ever had. I mean from the jump she didn't even greet us. I had to greet HER when she arrived to our table. I'm not sure if she's new or was having a bad day but she took it out on us. She had to keep asking us to repeat what we needed or just plain forgot items and had to be reminded. Not once did she ever crack a smile. She seemed rushed and overwhelmed. It seemed like all the other waitresses and staff were pleasant. I should've went with my first mind and requested another waitress but I didnt want to seem rude. She was brown skin, tall, with blonde locs. Our party of 15 was not able to make reservations so, I arrived an hour prior to our scheduled time and was informed by the staff that there would be an hour & 30 minute wait time which was great because my party would really only have to wait 30 minutes. Well, of course we waited longer than that but it was worth it. Out server was very profession, responsive, and nice. I wish I could remember her name but the amount of her tips definitely should make up for my memory lapse. The manager was also great! Aside from being very attractive he was very attentive to our party because there was a food allergy. The restaurant wasn't busy at this time, but maybe there were not enough cooks to get the food out in a timely fashion. Our waitress Tishema was EVERYTHING!! She was always present and checked on us. She apologized for the food coming out later than expected and she was just nice overall. Thea the manager came over and also apologized to us for the inconvenience and she made sure our bill was taken care of and gave us gift cards. She did not have to do that for us, but she did and she was very sweet while we were explaining our issues. In the time where customer service lacks, their customer was excellent!! My mom had a craving for their bread pudding so we came here to make it a reality. Unfortunately they currently aren't selling the bread pudding so we opted for a nice meal instead. We started off with the Shrimp and Crawfish Fondeaux. We had no clue how massive this dish would be. The bread it came with was warm and buttery which we enjoyed. For my entree I got the Mardi Gras pasta with Alexander sauce instead of the red sauce it automatically comes with. My mom got the shrimp and grits. We both enjoyed our entrees thoroughly. We finished our meal off with the Sweet Potato Pie. It came with this wonderful rum sauce and soft vanilla ice cream. I loved the ambiance of this place. This was my first time coming to this location and it felt like I got transported to the bayou. It was a great feeling. Our server for the evening was Christine. Pappadeaux is always a good choice no matter where you are. I just wished they remained open past 9:00pm. However I always get the Rasta pasta, side of gumbo, a good Caesar salad, and a strong drink (cognac of course). S/O to their Caesar salad. It was refreshing . One of the best salads I ever had. There are a few restaurants that I tip my hat too. Pappadeaux's is one of those restaurants. In the DMV, we have two, Woodmont Grill and Mike's American Grill. I've made it my business to dine at this brand whenever I travel to Georgia or Texas and they NEVER disappoint. What a chain, where all of the locations stay packed. My last trip to Atlanta, I had to wait on a bar seat at 2pm...wow! I absolutely LOVE Creole cuisine and Pappadeaux's food is consistently great. I've had several menu items over the years but last time out I chose the Crispy Salmon topped with lump crab and the charbroiled oysters and both were outstanding! The Hennessy Sidecars were STRONG and made to perfection. The atmosphere is always lively with excellent service to match.
