Believe it or not, this was an Austin Reddit recommendation that actually lived up to the hype (rare, I know) -- and now I get why people won't shut up about it. Paprika ATX is serving tacos that don't need to show off... they just casually melt in your mouth like they know they're that good. Not overstuffed, perfectly balanced, and that salsa bar? Dangerous in the best way. The vegan nopales taco was my favorite -- flavorful, juicy, and somehow still light. Love that they keep it real with both vegan and non vegan options, plus frescas that hit. The whole vibe feels like a no frills Mexico cafeteria in the coolest way, with some actually cute merch (RIP to the sold out bandana, I'm still thinking about it). Service was warm, efficient, no attitude. Only downside: parking is a sport, we got lucky, but during peak hours? May the odds be ever in your favor.

This is a famous taco shop so I had high expectations. They were good and I'd come back again but nothing too crazy amazing I'd say. I wish they labeled the salsas more clearly because I didn't wanna hold up the line so I picked one and went with it. I also wish that I could substitute the corn tortilla with flour. The line can be long but it goes quickly. Luckily the seating opens up fast too so hopefully you get a seat after you order.

FOOD: DELICIOSO VIBES: IMMACULATE SERVICE: AMAZING Parking was not my favorite since the spaces are right up against the main street so it was annoying if there was a lot of traffic to enter or exit. I'm sure there was more street parking around but I didn't check. I liked the unassuming, "hole in the wall" look because you know the food is going to be phenomenal. I enjoyed their paper bag neon colored wall art, especially the ice-y one ;) The suadero and al pastor were so good that I ordered even more after the first round. Unfortunately, the guava aguas frescas was not for me. Still holding hope I find a flavor I like! My friend also got the tinga de pollo and she loved it! Not dry at all. The chef who was calling out the orders is obviously a very fun dude and I'm sure he makes his co-workers life fun at the restaurant lol TL;DR GREAT TACOS - VAMOS AHORA POR FAVOR

I don't think I can say anything new that hasn't been said already. These tacos are amazing. These people are amazing. Come here ASAP and get one of every taco and aguas frescas. Prepare to go big back mode and try everything because it's worth it. The quesitacos are the way to go, where they griddle cheese inside the taco.

I've been wanting to try this place out for awhile now, and was glad I did! The initial parking seemed like it would be difficult, but if you check behind the store, you shouldn't have any issues. Loved the ambiance as well, it felt full of culture and passion. But the food, was truly amazing. They serve all kinds of various tacos and styles, and rotating aguas frescas. I ordered a carnitas, chicken tinga, suadero taco, and a strawberry cream agua (fresas con crema on menu), and the flavor really hit! There was a little salsa stand on the side, and though I'm impartial to the green salsa everywhere, the red one was also bomb! The cashier in the front was very nice and helpful, her food recs were top notch definitely will go back to try more!

The inside of the restaurant gives me slight "hole in the wall" vibes but honestly it works and I like it. Overall, happy with my meal but I wouldn't say it's my favorite. Ordered: - Al Pastor - Sad that this is considered a special since I think this was the best one we had. It came with one piece of pineapple, I would've like more. - Suadero - Carnitas - Strawberry and Guava Fresca - yummy Got there about 1.5 hours after they opened and probably waited about 30 minutes. It was loud inside, kinda hard to hear people at the same table, good thing they do announce your order with a speaker. I appreciate all the cute artwork on the paper bags around the restaurants. Their merch was also cute.

This place has been on my list forever and I was excited to go on a Saturday morning right at 11am when they opened. There were already a few others there as well, so they get busy quickly! Service is extremely casual - order and pay at the counter for dine-in or to-go. There is ample seating but it's cold metal tables and chairs, truly meant to eat and go. Everything we ordered was fantastic. As a native San Antonian, this is the closest tacos I've found that are similar in quality and flavor. Truly worth a visit! QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, small spots in front and to the side/behind the building. Not a large space so may be hit or miss. - Reservations? No, super casual so walk-ins only. The tacos were fantastic and generously portioned. The torta was also delicious. We also tried the jicama lemonade which was just okay - more sweet than tart. Next time I'll try something else! Can't wait to revisit!

This restaurant is one of the best taco spots in Austin! You order at the counter, and the cashier was super nice. The restaurant has plenty of seating, and there was street parking nearby. The vibes inside were good too and I liked how it wasn't too crowded. I loved the brisket taco! The tortilla had a nice, slightly crispy texture. The meat was extremely flavorful, and I loved it with the cheese. I also liked that there was a little bar with all the sauces. The green sauce was super good and not too spicy.

I thought I was through with the holiday party circuit. Bam! A friend of mine reminded me of two parties I agreed to go with her. So I exhaled and prepared to attend. One of the parties is today. I have been so busy today I forgot to eat - workshop, sorting and packing socks for nursing homes and the gym. So, I needed a little something to tide me over until the party. Therefore, I stopped Paprika ATX. Today was my lucky day! They were serving Al pastor tacos, which are only served on Saturdays. Al Pastor is a pork based taco with elevated seasoning and ingredients. One taco hit the spot! Now off to the holiday party...

Paprika is phenomenal! Absolutely mouthwatering tacos. Located on North Lamar, Paprika serves authentic tacos that will absolutely hit your soul. They serve five flavors on any given day, and have Al Pastor on Saturdays. The service here is very friendly, you are greeted as you enter and leave the establishment. Very cozy and welcoming environment. I ordered a total of six tacos (3x Suadero, 1x Suadero Quesi-Taco, 1x Carnitas, and 1x Campechano Taco). They were all absolutely mouthwatering tacos-watering and delicious. The hot sauce here packs a punch, I was definitely sweating after a few bites! Highly recommend this spot for my fellow taco-enthusiasts!

So delicious, flavorful and rich! I was blown away going to Paprika ATX for the first time. I went with my wife and we decided to split 5 quesitacos between the two of us. We had the suadero, carnitas, tinga de pollo, nopalitos and champinones. First, I love the layer of griddled cheese to the tacos. It definitely enhances it and takes it to another level. Second, I love the wide array of sauces to choose from. Beware of the rojo sauce. I enjoyed it because I like it spicy. But my wife struggled a bit LOL. The verde sauce was more her speed. Third, the food comes out very fast. Fourth, the staff were extremely friendly. Fifth, we enjoyed the music, vibes and ambiance inside. Sixth, they had some interesting flavors of Agua Fresca that I never tried before, which were tasty and refreshing. Lastly, the food was unbelievable. We only tried the quesitacos but were already planning to come back to try the quesadillas and tortas. I'd say this is a must try in Austin!

We dined here last night before they closed for business at 6pm. We read good things about them. When we arrived, we parked right by the restaurant. They had about 8 or so tables with chairs inside. I wish they had heating because it was cold inside. I guess they are not used to cold temperatures. We ordered the following tacos: (2) Tinga de Pollo (Chipotle braised chicken), (2) suadero (brisket confit), (2) carnitas (pork confit), and (1) cheese quesadilla. I ate the chicken tacos because I don't eat red meat. My husband and his relative ate the beef and pork tacos. My baby and I ate most of the quesadilla. The food was flavorful. The hibiscus tea was delicious. The bathroom was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. I think we would dine here again the next time we're in town... maybe when the weather warmer.

Once a beloved food truck, Paprika ATX has now moved into its own brick-and-mortar location. The space is fairly small, but we were able to snag a table, and there's also a back room with several additional tables. I loved the salsa bar, which ranges from mild to medium to hot. The staff were super friendly and even gave recommendations on which salsa pairs best with each item. Ordering is simple with counter-style service & you're given a number and they bring the food out once it's ready. Honestly, everything was a 10/10: the meat, tortillas, and salsas were all incredibly fresh and high quality. This is easily one of my favorite spots, hands down. While space and parking are limited, service moves pretty fast. I wouldn't recommend large groups during peak hours.

Global mashups, brunch hybrids, burger impostors, the works. No one is pretending these are the real deal. I went for the chicken-and-waffles taco, which was actually built on a thin, real waffle instead of a tortilla. Surprisingly good--crispy, a little sweet, chicken holding its own. The burger taco tasted exactly like a cheeseburger that had wandered into a tortilla and decided to stay. We also tried the shrimp taco (fine), one daughter got the kids' chicken taco (perfectly kid-level), and the other ordered the chicken tikka (spicy, saucy, and very much in the "why is this on a tortilla?" category). Everything was okay. Comparable to Torchy's in that same creative-American-taco lane. If you're looking for a true Mexican taco, stay far away. I walked into this unassuming restaurant and perused the menu, which felt like Mexican tarot cards. Pictures. Titles. Small description. It all looked basic. But simple food made with fresh ingredients and seasoned well has won Michelin stars. Unfortunately, I don't foresee them receiving one. The al pastor taco was tasty. The steak taco had too much fat in it. If I was strictly bashing this review on the food. I'd give it a three. It's not worth the price. Now, the service seemed to be decent until I didn't put a tip on my takeout order. Things seemed to go south. When my name was called, I grabbed the small paper bag and paused. No guacamole. If I hadn't have looked, I could've walked a really long wasteful before noticing. Maybe long enough to not go back. The last behind the counter, said okay I'll get it. It felt like a chore. I said thank you and made the long walk fighting the heat of the dragon's breath once again. The story does not stop there, I thought 3 tacos, a drink, and guacamole couldn't honestly cost $43. The guilt of spending that kind of money on such little food that was also just average, screamed in my conscience. Well, that was because the woman also had not given me my tres leches, which was going to be for my wife. I took the long walk back, stood at the counter for what felt like 10 minutes, and again it felt like a chore to get me what I paid for. No sorry. I would suggest taking a little longer walk to Taqueria de Diez

OMG where do I start? My plans started horribly today, and I didn't even plan on eating here today,…read morebut the food here at Veracruz All Natural completely turned my day around. I had only stopped by this Food Truck (area) to try Desnudo Coffee, and spotted this business. I had heard some good things about Veracruz, but I was planning lunch elsewhere. Well, that other spot was CLOSED ON WEDNESDAYS! Seeing my situation, I saw it as opportunity to try the options at Veracruz --- including the famous from Food Network, migas taco. I ordered 4 tacos: the migas, migas poblano, shrimp macha (!!), and the Dona Reyna tacos. All of these specific tacos were priced between $6 and $6.75 per taco, not bad in Austin, and not bad considering the quality of said tacos. As you can see from my order, I opted on the more "novel" choices and they did not disappoint; that said, I do HIGHLY recommend the two variations of the migas taco and the shrimp macha taco. Oh, the shrimp macha was so FIRE, the flavors were bold and smoky with a kiss of heat. The migas tacos were FULLY LOADED, and the scramble with the tortilla chips were flavorul. TIP: They will ask corn or flour --- do flour. Everything is handmade, but those corn tortillas fall apart with all the sauce. Flour = durable and flavorful. I had plans, but the Universe had other plans for me that were superior. Try Veracruz All Natural --- and if your limited on $$$, you can snag 3 EXCEPTIONAL LOADED TACOS for about $20, that you will not find anywhere else!

I ordered 2 steak tacos and horchata, both very delicious. The horchata is milky and sweet but not crazy sweet, and topped off with cinnamon. The steak tacos came out pretty hot, fresh from the grill. I got them on corn tortillas and I'm glad I did: idk if they make them in house but somebody in some house is making these because they definitely aren't store bought, and if they are I want to know where! I tried the orange habanero and creamy serrano salsas. The habanero was spicy off the bat, while the serrano had more of a lingering burn. Both paired well with the steak. They have a little bar, too, though I did not imbibe this time. Seems like they have a decent selection of agave spirits, and even Campari behind the bar (iykyk). Give them a shot, and thank the ladies in the kitchen.

Decided to come in and the cashier greeted us and was really nice and patient because of questions with the menu. The Taco Bueno is what I had ordered and requested no potato. Sat down and after a few seconds, chips & salsa was delivered. Then after a few minutes, the food came. Quick service for sure and the food, AMAZING. Anyone reading this, try this place out and if u like it, come back! Cuz we are for sure =D
