What a horrible experience today Far from paradise ! I called ahead to make an appt for two powder gel manicures with someone over the phone for the same day Sunday They close at 5p so I was told 4p would be fine. We arrived on time and were told to pick a color. Then we sat for at least 10 mins. They proceeded to take my niece and i remained seated with no one coming to me. I asked the girl at the front desk what was up and was told we are looking for someone to take you. Now it's 420p. Not my fault or problem. I should have been soaking I get two techs come over and they begin to frantically filing my nails as if they were going to start a fire! I said wooo you're burning me. Wtf. Now you want to rush. Another tech comes over to begin using the tool. She gets poked in the eye with a flying piece of nail polish. She's now holding her eye. That's it I said. Forget it. I don't need to be treated like this I won't get my nails done. No apologies. No nothing the front desk girl could care less. All they kept saying was look at the time as it's now 430 or so and they close at 5p so I need time to soak and then to actually do my powder gel. Again no apologies no regard nothing. how fffin rude. They need to learn customer service for my first and last experience If you knew you didn't have someone who could take two people then just say so. It would have been fine. No instead I'm treated like it's my fault ! I was like forget it. While my niece was Getting served I booked with my local place where they treat customers with respect and courtesy Change your name as your service is far from paradise ! More like the abyss ! Having patronized both the Morris Plains and Randolph locations, I cannot say enough about the spa's cleanliness and professionalism, as well as the quality and variety of services. For eyelash extensions, you will find no one better than Jia! I am continually overwhelmed by Jia's expertise and proficiency. Her dedication to excellence is evident at every appointment. She takes extreme care to protect my eyes while providing individualized, masterful results. As an eyelash customer, my desire is for beautiful, natural lashes while my concern is for eyecare health and safety. In the past, I have compromised one for the other, as finding a technician who provides both at the highest level is difficult. LOOK NO FURTHER. For the best in beauty AND care, you WILL NOT find anyone better than Jia! If it's a mani/pedi you want-without feeling as though you've stepped onto the conveyor belt, Margarita is your answer. Because I only get regular mani/pedis, I typically feel as though technicians are simply 'going through the motions'. However with Margarita, I always receive the best care as she works diligently and professionally. If your looking for a place to get ripped off by over priced dip and horrific procedures, I found the place for you! Paradise is a joke. I'm in town just visiting and my normal spot was booked. I came here for simple dip and removal. Well apparently I should've bailed at the removal. Why on earth would someone start filing off dip???? With a nail file RAW!!!! Use the TOOL!!! That's why it's created. My nails still hurt. Next, it was like a truly overwhelming experience to remove my dip. This woman was frantic while removing my dip like she has never seen a nail or file in her life. I was very stressed for her. Next, since she took forever to do my soak by talking to her coworker casually and filing like no tomorrow on my raw nail, it was a race to put the color in my nail. By the time my polish was removed I was here for 45 min which is backwards but since I've never been here I was like ok I'll be patient. No it took her forever to do the dip that came out bumpy and crusty. Finally, like this explosion experience wasn't enough, at the 11th hour, while my nails were drying, somehow she messed up a thumb. At this point it's been almost two hours for a very simple manicure she asked if she could re do my thumb. I had dinner plans so I said your going to have to find another solution. So she did but it's still trash and I my water was boiling at this point. There's random brush pieces in my nails, it's bumpy and I almost had my nails ripped off my EXTEME and excessive filing the entire appointment $50 and two hours I'll never be getting back. Do not go here! I beg you there's so many amazing small businesses in the area you can spend your money. read more

I had appointment today at 5:15 I didn't realize that they closed at 6 o'clock. I literally was so uncomfortable because what should have been a relaxing experience was completely opposite as they were shutting off the lights cleaning turning off the music and turning off the TV as the place was completely empty. I felt terrible for the poor girl who had to finish doing my nails and I am so disappointed in that place. I have been a patron for many years I have gotten my eyelashes done spa days but this was completely unacceptable. It makes me sad because I think it is a wonderful salon however I want everyone to know that if they offer you an appointment at 5:15 on a Saturday do not take it unless you want to be the last person standing. To add insult to injury I had to leave with my toes wet and scuffed one of my nails. read more

I've been to the salon at least a few times since I moved to the area. It's large and busy and my first impression was it seems like a factory but looked clean and the pricing was average. Nothing personal in the service but as long as it was clean, I was ok with it. I've had a couple of pedicures (which I enjoyed) and manicures but occasionally I would still return to my favorite salon in Bergen County when it was convenient. I decided to get manicures (just a regular one) regularly and scheduled an appointment for 4 pm to begin my new plan. I had to wait awhile, which was unusual but was finally seated with a manicurist. At first I thought he was being thorough with my cuticles but then, when pushing them back, it hurt and I let him know with an "ouch"! He apologized but after I got home my finger was sore and bleeding at the cuticle line. They had already closed for the day so I called as soon as they opened in the morning, asked for a manager and customer service was most disappointing. She simply said "it happens". I can understand that it could happen, but she never said "it shouldn't happen". I said I was concerned about a possible infection, she said use Neosporin (I had already been applying Bacitracin). I told her I didn't expect to have to pay for a manicure that drew blood and caused pain. After I said it a second time, she said she would give me a credit "this time". And now I have a manicure with a wrapped and painful index finger. I've sent an email with a photo to customer service and I'm hoping for an appropriate reply that would give me a reason to return. read more

I've been coming to this location since the day they opened. Recommend to many friends and family who also come here now. Today I had a pedicure with my friend and mine was rushed. The lady was doing everything so quickly and didn't even massage the lemon and honey and just rubbed and removed it. I asked if she was in a rush and she said yes. I complained to the desk attendants but they didn't care. They said pedicures are 40 minutes but, mine was much less. I'm truly disappointed and not happy with my pedicure. Paying 30.00 I'll be willing to pay more for better service. The desk attendants are too young and unprofessional. This place has changed and not for the good. This place is hit or miss. It's very inconsistent I feel rushed more often than not due to the fact that they treat such high volume of clients at any given time. I have had wonderful manicures and pedicures and then I have had others not so good. I do believe that every client should be greeted with a "hello" , not " regular manicure?" After stopping in for manicure this evening and getting a rush job and clipped cuticle ( with bleeding) I will now be going elsewhere , even if it is a farther drive. Just got a gel manicure at paradise nails. I have been going there for years and never had an issue. Until today. The nail tech, Olga, was SO rough on my nails while filing, she filed my cuticles. She then cut the top of my pinky with the cuticle cutter. She put the cotton soaked in nail polish remover on my skin that was clearly bleeding and I asked her to take it off because it burned so bad. She continued doing my nails and once the gel was on, I can't even explain to you how terrible they looked. Never in my life have I seen nail polish look like a 5 year old had done it, when I was paying a professional for a service. She asked if I wanted to change my polish and I said absolutely. So she started filing them again and filing my skin like she was a lumberjack chopping down a tree. I was almost in tears by this point because my skin was so raw. She got up, without saying a word and another tech took her seat. I got my nails re done and the picture below is the end result. I brought it to the owners attention that Olga was so rough on my nails and said said she was sorry and that she would talk to her. I pay $30 to get a gel manicure. I also spent 2 hours in the nail salon like an idiot. No discount or free service. I won't be going back here for a while. read more

WISH I LIVED CLOSER!!!!!!!! Stopped by b/c I was in the neighborhood and was in desperate need of a mani/pedi. First impression is that it's very clean and it was really nice to be greeted upon arrival. Quickly seated for my mani, the girl next to me (who I don't know, so I was even impressed by the friendliness of their clients) started talking to me. I noticed how beautiful her eyelashes were, and she told me she gets extensions at Paradise. Now...I have always been curious of them but never actually took the plunge to spend that kinda money on eyelashes. But after talking to her, I was convinced! I asked my nail tech if there was any availability for eyelash extensions. I was in luck and they'd be able to take me after my pedicure. To sum up my review (b/c I know sometimes a long review gets boring)..I had a wonderful afternoon at Paradise!!! I'm sad I don't live closer b/c I'd be there every week! Everything was wonderful, the techs, the clients, the salon...definitely impressed! I'm going to try to attach a picture of my new eyelashes- which I am IN LOVE with!
