Stumbled upon this great modern Indian restaurant and decided to take my chances! I have to say that I am very well pleased with the results because everything EXCEEDED my expectations! We ordered the chicken roll, unda roll, masala fries, upma, cinnamon coconut iced chai, and mango lassi. The rolls were flavorful yet light and filling , and the fries paired perfectly with everything. The upma was out of this world and we loved how it was topped with slices of cooked mushrooms. Ordered here on a Sunday evening and the food exceeded my (already great) expectations! The sweet chili wings with the horseradish sauce were the perfect combo of sweet and spicy and they came with a tiny salad with a sweet chili vinaigrette... delicious! The kale fritters were perfectly fried and the mint dipping sauce was an amazing complement. The star of the show, however was the butter chicken which literally melted in my mouth. What an added delight to the neighborhood in these times. First of all the owner and the staff couldn't be nicer and more welcoming and caring. Then the food is absolutely delicious. I can't stop trying different dishes and their breads are just amazing. My one daughter loves their seasoned French fries. The salads are great as all the dishes are. I live around the corner from this restaurant. Their food is very good. In particular, I like the chicken tikka bowl. The flatbreads are also very good, and super fresh. As is the samosa. The only item I didn't like so far was the fish fritter appetizer. This restaurant has the friendliest staff in Forest Hills. Its a pleasure to order food here. I passed this restaurant driving down Metro and thought I'd give it a try. I placed the order online, and received a call that it was ready to pick up which was super helpful. When I arrived, they were putting the meals together in the bag. The owners were very friendly were really interested in receiving feedback to improve customer experience. The food was delicious. The chicken tikka bowl was awesome and had at least 5 different kinds of foods inside of the bowl. The basmati rice was fluffy and hot, and the cilantro rice was delicious! This is the place Metropolitan Avenue in Forest Hills has been missing, a good Indian restaurant! The food is excellent, bold combinations of traditional Indian and modern cuisine make this one of the best unique lunch or dinner spots for miles around. My family and I visited this restaurant last Sunday afternoon for my mother's birthday. We had a big crowd,5 adults and 3 kids. Raj and the staff were able to accommodate our group. They were also following all of the Covid-19 protocols. Our temperatures were checked at the door. Masks were worn by all the staff. And they also had gloves on. The food was very tasty and very enjoyable. Raj was able to accommodate us with some special requests- the kids were worried about the spice. So Raj made a request to the chef. They weren't able to make the samosas less spicy but they were able to lessen the spice in the chicken biryanis. Nevertheless the kids enjoyed their French fries from the kids menu. The main course entrees were hot and full of flavor. I enjoyed the tikka bowl. It was very hardy and tasty. The parathas were very good as well. They also have a refreshing take on lemonade with a twist of ginger. The best gesture that the staff did was compliment our group with a slice of the mango cake/mousse with a candle for my mom's birthday. This was a great end to an enjoyable lunch. Staff, food, and ambiance was very good! Please pay this restaurant a visit. They are doing just right. read more
