Nice atmosphere and beautiful presentation. it really gives a classic French bakery experience. What was available tasted delicious and looked high quality, so the potential is definitely there. However, several core items were already sold out, which made the visit a little less enjoyable than expected. Still, it's a lovely spot and definitely worth trying again.

While taking a stroll in UTC mall, we felt like having dessert. After a quick Yelp search, we stumbled upon this spot and decided to check it out! First off, they have a small store, but UTC has plenty of open seating in the mall area. The person at the counter helped us by suggesting different pastries that weren't too sweet. I got the chocolate pastry and my husband got the mango passion fruit pastry. The mango passionfruit one was actually in the shape of a mango. We decided to take the pastries as a to-go and eat it at home. The chocolate cake was interesting. It had a pecan crust at the bottom and a mix of cake and mousse layers. The cake was not overly sweet, which was to our liking. The mango pastry was a bit tart for our liking but it was flavorful and fruity. Overall, we liked the desserts. However, for the price, we didn't feel that the desserts were worth the value, given the flavor profile and portion size unfortunately. Nevertheless, a good spot to check out for themed cafe vibes!

There was no line when we went on a Saturday afternoon but it was hot inside. Didn't feel like they had the AC on. We tried their strawberry gelato with a chocolate chip cookie. The consistency felt more like ice cream than gelato but it had a good flavor. The cookie was hard and I didn't care for the salt on it.

Ambiance..cute place with a changing table but the bathrooms you need a code. Service...good Food..I liked the veggie crepe and salad. Dirty chai was good but not got enough. The salad needed to be cut more to eat but the crepe was warm ans loved the veggies and filling. I also got a vanilla Gelato and that was amazing.

I was shock to get that when I order side of salad for 6$.. Beside that my tuna melt came cold ..

Amazing experience here. Especially appreciated Albert, Adrieon, and Erik's service. They were very helpful and patient with my indecisiveness despite coming close to closing time! We ordered a Pecan Cinnamon roll, in which they warmed it up for us. It tasted great! Would definitely come again.

Parfait is French and means 'Perfect' and may also be a dessert; perfect dessert. There are over 9 locations throughout Southern California, including this newly opened cafe in La Jolla. Occupying the former space held by Beard Papa located on Girard. Limited street parking and some private lots for a fee. The cafe has outdoor and indoor seating. Of the number of times I've visited, it was clean and I was cordially greeted. The staff have always been helpful and super nice. The display case showcases to die for desserts, macarons and gelato. Also offered are coffee, teas drinks, sandwiches and salads. Have only had pastry desserts and coffee drinks here and I must say, the ingredients includes french butter from Normandy and Swiss chocolate is evident in the taste. The owners are of French origin and incorporate their love for France in all their creations and one can tell...fait maison avec amour, which translates as made in house with love. I Like that fact they use stoneware and silverware and bring your order to your table with a genuine smile. My pup Fendi is very picky about everything but she loves the macarons here. I recently tried the Dubai Pain Swiss pastry and latte, both delish. As a loyal Frenchie I prefer the fantastique Almond croissant, always perfect...Parfait Paris! A welcome addition to the La Jolla community. Recommend

The two ladies that helped me and my family pick out desserts were patient and gave great recommendations. We got the mango, strawberry and the bread pudding. At almost 15$ a piece. I struggle to see the value. However everything was delicious.

Went to the shops for a lazy morning. Parfait Paris gave the perfect experience with a nice crème brûlée latte and chocolate chip crookie. Just the perfect amount of flakey with the croissant and ooey goodness in the center. Can't wait to come back!

    So cute!!!

After being sat on the patio and before ordering, we checked out all the merch inside, an explosion of color and sparkle. The indoor seating is a room of inviting, plush, forest green chairs and the walls dripping in white and blush pink flowers. The quote "Cooking is my soul's desire, eating is my heart's calling" catches your eye on the north wall. One of my friend's and I decided to order 2 entrees and split them - the Spicy Shakshuka Sunrise Skillet (2 eggs poached with fire-roasted tomatoes, onion, bell pepper, fresno pepper, cilantro, yellow onion, feta, harissa, cumin, chili flakes, and sourdough bread) and the Windansea Breakfast Bagel (with scrambled egg whites, Irish cheddar, sauteed garlic spinach, and avocado on a Big City everything bagel). That was a smart call because both were amazing and re-orderable. The shakshuka was flavorful but not intolerable spicy hot. The bagel made the sammich. All was washed down with a Cafe Viennese (coffee with honey, cinnamon, and vanilla, a great sub for my usual Cinnamon Dolce Latte from Starbies). The service was great and engaging and not a hustle for us to churn and burn our meal. Would love to return and indulge in some of the retail in addition to some pancake or waffles. I only had 1 bite of the single fluffy pancake that my other girlfriend ordered...quite the tease.

Steak and eggs: Funny enough, potatoes were my favorite part of this. Steak was okay - not really seasoned enough but the texture was good. Eggs are eggs, so nothing super special. Scripps Bagel: Taste was decent. I think it's more a personal pet peeve, but I really dislike when sandwiches don't hold structure. This thing just feel apart with each bite. Maybe it was supposed to be open face, but I feel like bagels contradict a fork and knife. Either way, flavor didn't really outweigh the frustration of a disintegrating sandwich. Blueberry pancake: This was our favorite. We loved the denser texture and the slight crisp around the edge of the pancake. The blueberries tasted fresh too! We loved pancakes where you don't NEED syrup, and this one hit that spot. I do want to say this rating was slightly influenced by the environment. I swear every bite was coupled with at least one hand swipe to get flies out of the way. We had three dishes in between us and we couldn't leave one unoccupied for more than 10-15 seconds without having to swat some flies away. We gave up towards the end because we couldn't eat fast enough. Tough day I'm guessing but this experience won't "fly"

For reference, this cake shop is across from Pavilions in La Jolla, where I parked and grocery shopped before crossing the street to this cake shop. Upon entry I saw their version: Gateau Aileen. 'Gateau' is french for cake and Aileen is someone's name. I ordered a slice togo. The female staff behind the counter was helpful and friendly. The display case also had macarons and lots of other enticing desserts, and a small shelf of wines and sparkling wines. With excitement and anticipation, I headed home immediately and plated my slice on my fancy porcelain dish. After the first bite, I was shocked with disappointment to realized this is NOT the one, Not even close to other versions I've had. Apparently, this cake looked better than it tasted, and it tasted horribly bad, possibly the cake passed its expiration date, because ups on closer inspections, the strawberries on top looked over ripen. Good thing I didn't order a whole cake, but I hate spending any $$ on anything I can't enjoy. Perhaps is was just an off day at this bakery. Unfortunately, the actual wedding cake was a major disappointment. We ordered a classic/simple two-tier cake, but when it was picked up, it arrived disassembled with plastic separating the tiers which clearly showed when it was assembled, making it appear cheap. It didn't feel like the polished presentation we expected for a wedding cake. The venue staff had to place the top tier themselves, and because it wasn't properly secured, it nearly fell off during our cake cutting in front of our guests. We were under the impression that wedding cakes were a standard part of their business, but based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend them for weddings or other special occasions when a polished product is expected. I truly wish our experience had matched how great the tasting was. I haven't gone to this bakery for anything else so based on my experience with this cake I'm giving it 3 stars.

When I placed the order, the employee asked if I would like to leave a gratuity. I told her I preferred to wait until I received the order, but she said they only accept tips in advance. I found that surprising, but I went ahead and left the tip anyway, expecting excellent service and attention to detail. The large strawberry cake was disappointing. It contained whole (not sliced) strawberries, (one had the green stem still attached) baked into the cake. Not only was this unexpected, but it also made the cake difficult to slice and serve. And truthfully, it wasn't very enjoyable biting into large whole strawberries. The cake itself was good (but not great), but for something costing close to $100, I expected much better. We also specifically ordered three vegan, gluten-free mini cakes. When my daughter picked up the order, she was told they had forgotten to make them. Instead, they offered gluten-free substitutes and, for the vegan option, a muffin because that was all they had available. She was left with no real choice but to accept the substitutions. Okay, what can we do, but why they didn't make them or call in advance to let us know? The biggest letdown was the response when I called. Rather than acknowledging the mistakes or trying to make things right, I was told that this is simply how they make the strawberry cake and that the substituted desserts were an acceptable replacement. After some back and forth, they offered to refund my tip, but I declined because I didn't feel that was the right thing to do. I also asked whether I could at least receive the missing gluten-free mini cake we had ordered, but was told they couldn't provide one because they didn't know whether the baker was available to make it. Mistakes happen, but when customers spend over $120 on a special-occasion order, you expect better quality and service. Based on my experience, I was disappointed with both the execution of the order and the way my concerns were handled, and I would hesitate to use this bakery again.
