    Fruit tart
    Scarlett T.

I had not such a great experience with my second time here. We got here at 7pm an hour before they were going to close since we were in the area and wanted to grab a fruit tart and cake slice for dessert. The staff are overcharged me for additional items when ringing up the order and wasn't so friendly. When I ask for the refund, I was told they can't do refunds and a manger will have to give me a call tomorrow to do it or I can get the additional item that was charged. That seems like an unethical sales practice to me to force me to get an additional item. I wasn't going to be wasting time playing phone tag to get a refund since my time is limited. I have never heard a refund cannot be done for a franchise business before and was in awed. I grabbed the extra charged item even though I did not want it and was really unhappy. We got home to have our dessert and sadly again, the different cake slice we got which was the coconut mango was tasteless. It did not taste like coconut cream and bland. It was just a sponge cake with color. Even the whipped cream was bland. Not even slightly sweet and terrible. The fruit tart which is what we came specifically for, was not consistent with how it was made the first time we had it. Even though it was loaded with fruit the cream was not piped even so when you bite into it, all you get is the tart crust and fruit. For whatever reason the cream is pipped like a in the middle of the tart and then fruit is piled on. This was not the same construction of the fruit tart I had when I came here for the first time. Disappointing. Do I recommend this business? Unfortunately after this experience no. I just recommend the Paris Baguette in Houston. The cakes and pastries qualities are 1000 times better.

Amazing! The danish I got was delicious! The holiday mocha was great too! I did have to add sugar to it but that's just me with a sweet tooth. Parking is like the parallel parking in the streets. But I was able to find one pretty quick and right by the place. Wasn't to expensive like another coffee shop I went to yesterday

So Paris Baguette is situated next to the new ACC campus (pretty and walkable spot)- Which is perfect for anyone looking to get a coffee, a quick bite and stroll around. Just like Tous Le Jours it's a Korean based French Bakery concept- With a few extra bells and whistles. Primarily, way more of an assortment of savory and sweet goods and what I felt was a wider assortment of coffees and other beverages. Some pros: -Great location -Spacious concept with very friendly staff -Great coffee Cons: -The pastries we got were a little underwhelming. While they looked pretty and sounded great, the cronuts we got were deep fried and had none of the flakiness one would expect. One of the cronuts had custard cream, the other was way too sweet and was coffee cream based. We couldn't finish it. -The apple tart we got was lacking in filling and dry. -A savory Buffalo chicken tart was so salty we couldn't finish that either. So I think the trend was just inconsistent flavors with the pastries i picked out. Too salty, too sweet, not flavorful enough. It was a shame though as everything looks so great. In general this might not always be the case as they have more than 50+ things to choose from, but it seems like we got duds on what we picked out. Prices were reasonable though and the staff was great.

Danishes and fruit bites were pretty cute and tasted great I got hot chai and my husband got pumpkin latte hot, brioche was too savory though

Great spot for pastries and snacks. The better items usually are sold out early in the morning or early afternoon. Coffee and tea are okay nothing amazing or surprising about them for me. The bakery is near ACC so parking is either curbside or there is a garage around the corner where you can park on the first floor. They have plenty of tables inside and out and WiFi. Clean restroom as well. Strawberry lemon mini croissant and Frank hot dog croissant are my favorite.

I don't know why this place has so much hype but it did not live up to the hype, especially for the prices. I was lucky to receive a box of baked goods from here. Although everything looked pretty and looked tasty, in reality they lacked flavor.

Located conveniently under an apartment complex. Walking distant from chi cha sen. I came in for pastries to eat on the go. The garlic croissants with ham was good and flakey. Ask them to heat it up for you

Paris? Oh yes! Baguette? Oooh La La!!! Only this bakery didn't have any. The cashier says they only have baguettes every other day or so. I was sad. Luckily, they had gobs of other delicious things. We were there early, around 730, and they were setting out more as we watched. There were empty spaces where pastries I would have liked to try should have been, but we still assembled a find breakfast of decent coffee, plain croissant, ham and cheese croissant, puff pastry with sausage, and a raspberry topped cream cheese thingee. The bread that was available was of the Asian bakery variety, which is not to my taste AT ALL. But this chain is Korean owned, so no surprise there. There's also strange hot dog pastry variations, another Asian touch, some of which I find edible. Mostly. In summary, this is not a true French bakery. It's an interesting Korean take on a French bakery. There are many delicious things to be found, and the cakes looked amazing, but if you're looking for real French bread or baguettes, you may be disappointed.

    cheese-flavored pound cake....

I'll revise my review whenever I decide to sample other desserts.. Sadly, this is *not* Heavenly Cheesecake. Instead, it is merely cheese-flavored pound cake.... This is going into the trash since I am okay with some sugah, just not okay with wasteful nutrition-less carbs.

I had just read on Reddit a couple days prior that this was recommended as an alternative to another Austin bakery. When I walked in I was surprised to find many older individuals sitting and chatting, so I thought there might be some kind of event. But it's probably just the demographics of the neighborhood! Based on the decor I can tell they're not trying to be a "trendy" bakery and remain true to their identity as a neighborhood business. They still had a good number of pastries available but I did get the last strawberry danish of the day (pictured). I also got the almond croissant. Their pre-made bread loaves all looked appetizing as well. I thought both pastries had good texture but could have used more filling/flavoring.

The Green Goddess salad looked pretty good but expect to pay extra to add a protein. I did like the ambiance. The waitstaff was helpful and informative. The kitchen and bar took a while, even with just a few tables occupied. When we called to reserve a table, they let me know they couldn't split checks and gratted parties over 6, which I expected but appreciated they communicated it. The website was hard to navigate for me and the Happy Hour available under Caroline isn't actually offered anywhere but upstairs. If you have accessibility issues, note that there aren't any restrooms on the first floor. Be prepared to walk a maze through the restaurant, through the coffee shop and either up 4 switchbacks of stairs to the 2nd floor or to ride the elevator on the hotel side to find one. Overall, if you're planning a trip here, I would check out Caroline Upstairs and hit up the upper deck patio for drinks and appetizers and skip downstairs restaurant.
