Oh PB, I have a total love-hate relationship for this little lady. Like all women, can't live with her yet can't live without her. Don't let her neighbors fool you. The ugly strip mall conceals this diamond in the rough. Her inside is so open and filled with light. Everything she displays makes you want to just take a bite. And trust me, this hoochie displays A LOT. Her goodies definitely brings all the boys to the yard. It's all that savory, buttery, sweetness and everything else in between. Her cream puffs are amazing. Once you spread open those buns, the sweet cream inside is silky smooth; you wouldn't even care if it was all over your face. And her tartlets will leave your lips smacking until the wee morning. Not to mention when you warm up those buttery hot buns, wow. just wow. And this PB has a huge lot. So my sister-in-law Joanna C bought a Mocha Chiffon cake with whipped cream filling and frosting AND topped with fresh berries! 3/4 of the 7-inch cake GONE! Almost annihilated by 5 people who already had dinner! It was THAT good! You know what else was cool? FREE CANDLES! Yup, FREE CANDLES!!!! But wait, there's more! The free cake cutter that they give has two LONG sticks of matches you can use to light up the candles kept safe inside a compartment in the handle AND there's a striking strip just inside. YUP. The first time I came I ignored how filthy the place was and just thought it was because they were busy. I came a second time to study here and it was just as filthy. The floors, tables, and seats are dirty and sticky. The bathrooms are disgusting. I came a week apart and the toilets looked exactly the same as the previous time I came. Paris Baguette is an Asian bakery chain popping up everywhere. They're popping up as fast as the Taiwanese chain 85 degree bakery, and pretty much the concepts are similar. One side of the place is a help yourself bakery. You grab a tray, a sheet of waxed paper to line your tray, and a tong to use to grab your food. There's cases of different pastries, sweet and savory. You open the case of the food item you want, and with your tongs, select the food item you want and put them on your carrying tray. After you are done getting your food, you go to the cashier, who will ask you if its to dine in or take out. If you dine in, you carry your tray to a table and eat. You can order custom cakes, drinks, and other dessert items at the cashier. Customer service is just ok. The girls helping are not the most helpful, nor are they the most friendliest. Don't ask them for suggestions if you're lactose intolerant, as they can't seem to help you there, nor come up with a plausible solution on what to drink. This place only serves whole milk drink, which is odd since most Asians are lactose intolerant. So no coconut milk, soy milk, or any milk alternative for your iced coffee. They don't offer chai, but do offer 8 variety of teas, such as Earl Grey. I had a soy milk donut (insert irony here) while Stephen had a sausage stick bread. The total with 2 iced coffees set me back $8. Not bad in price. There's many locations all over Southern California, and branching out into malls such as Cerritos. Not worthy of 5 stars because they don't offer everything for everyone, and there's plenty of room for improvement. For me, this experience was just A-OK. Free parking in the congested parking lot, with lots of crazy asian drivers who don't look when they drive or back out of their spot. read more

I finally found some cronuts to try! Being from sacramento, the concept hasn't made its way up north quite yet. Paris Baguette has a variety of different pastries as well. Cronuts is a mixture of a donut and croissant. It tasted exactly as it should. Soft and moist on the inside topped with some cream on the top. It's a must try for everyone. We also ordered a green tea shaved ice which was no good at all. Way too dry and barely any flavors. This is a super busy little spot. A lot of college students can be seen occupying the tables to study. They have limited seating so you'll have to swoop on a table like a hawk before someone else takes it! I discovered this place on Yelp! and had to try it. Paris Baguette is great for anyone who loves pastries or fresh breads, teas or coffee drinks such as lattes. This place has something for everyone. I had the fresh berry pastry and the vanilla pudding (in a milk jar) and both were very good. The prices are also very reasonable. Unfortunately they did not have the tarts or Chocolate Ganash cake I came for but they have such a large variety it really made no difference. I will definitely be back to try a loaf of the fresh bread and pick up the items that were not available on my previous visit. I see myself and my wife coming here pretty regularly now that we have discovered it. Also have locations in Buena Park and Cerritos we will need to check out as I have heard the assortment of goods varies quite a bit from one location to another. All reasonably price ( comparable to other bakery places like 85). Strong coffee too. I wish they had boba as I was craving boba and there's surprisingly no boba places on the Euclid brookhurst area! (I seriously crave boba once a year and was too lazy to drive downtown). Anyways for a place that doesn't sell it, I've spent enough sentences on it. Parking can be rough with that random market next door, but it's worth the try! Oh, and if anyone besides me have ever thought it, they don't sell Vietnamese sandwiches. My first time going to Paris Baguette, and to be honest, I was shocked at how clean and just overall pretty the interior was. I got five items for $20.35 which is pretty average. Quiet environment with nice staff. Now on to the actual desserts. The ganache cream cake ($6.29) was one of the more expensive items I got. However it came with a macaron so it's understandable. The actual cake itself is really good and has a great chocolate flavor. The macaron on top however, wasn't as good. In my personal opinion, slightly chewy macarons are the best, and these weren't it. The strawberry croissant ($4.79) is GORGEOUS, decently sized, and is super flaky. Messy when eating, but tasty (I do think the strawberries could've been fresher or at least come with a glaze to make them look fresher. For ($2.99) the very berry tart is a little smaller than I anticipated, but the lemon cream made up for it. Similar to the strawberry croissant so I'd say if you like lemon, go for the tart, and if you like a choux cream, get the croissant. The coffee bun ($2.49) is...dare I say it, comparable to the ones from 85°C in fact, it might even be better. In my opinion it's better because the coffee flavor is stronger. Lastly the sticky milk buns for ($3.79) in my opinion, the brioche from 85°C is better by far. The sticky milk buns are too dense, but the flavor is there. Overall, would come here again and definitely picking up some savory options next time. read more

I purchased the Red Velvet Cake the day before my Birthday with my family. My family and I ate it yesterday, on my birthday, and it tasted terrible. The cake did not taste anything like red velvet, and it tasted like a very water-downed cake batter. My mother did not finish her slice because it didn't taste like anything. It tasted like drinking tap water. The cake was very wet and difficult to slice due to all the fruit and chocolate curl toppings. The strawberries and other fruits on top were not sweet. The only sweet thing was the chocolate curls. The Honey Castella that I bought there on the same day tasted much better :(. The single slice that my friend got me from a different bakery yesterday tasted way better than the Red Velvet. I highly do not recommend getting the Red Velvet again. read more

Visited the Fullerton location, it's in a strange little area but the store alone is a little welcoming. I have no negative comments on the menu. The coffee is good and so are all the desserts. I like the trays they have when you walk in. You grab a tray and a piece of paper with a tong. Then the rest is up to you to grab what you want. I loved that there were so many options to choose from. Although, I felt like I was going crazy trying to decide on a reasonable about of calories to intake. I also like the fact that there are not a bunch of each pastry out, that way they are always made fresh throughout the day. The decor in here is beautiful. Very modern and fancy. Although, I'm not a fan of Paris Baguette, I have to admit that this venue has the best presentation of any location that I've been to thus far. Usually, I rate my experience with Korean bakeries on the following: * Attitude of the servers. * Cleanliness. * How much goodies and drinks are stocked. * Time of day and what day it is. For my first visit, I would have to say that it's more than satisfactory on all counts. It was a really hot Saturday, the hottest that it's been in quite some time. So I couldn't wait to walk in and chill for a bit before I headed back home. The air conditioner was blasting strong, which is money for a scorching day like that. I'm almost amused by the outfits that the workers wear. Their shirt and pants are in black and white stripes and they have on this weird toque. I guess some of you might find it cute, but I think it's funny. Someone would have to pay me an arm and a leg to to wear something like that for work everyday. Anyways, they have two open refrigerators for pastries, cakes, sandwiches, and beverages that were all neatly organized. A good selection of Korean bread and pastries were present and the 2 gentlemen working were quite friendly. The dining area was spacious and neat, with a good amount of sunlight creeping into the store, along with bright lighting from above. Everything checks out rather well. With the recent surge of Paris Baguettes opening up all over the Southland, I'm going to be a little reserved this time and rate 3 stars until I can get a better vibe on how this location really operates. They have all kind of stuffs - steamed buns, donuts, pastries, sandwiches, macarons (tiny bite size with hefty price tags), cookies, breads, puddings in the cute tiny milk bottle, whole cakes etc. The whole cakes looked really good with wide varieties. Drinks: Latte, smoothies, all kind of fruit lemonades etc. - Gluttony Expedition - Fresh fruit shaved ice: cup $3.50, small $5.50, large $7.50. Green tea shaved ice is $.25 more than fruit one ! Large size shaved ice is served with a BOWL size dish - HUGE !!!! For 3 people. Green tea shaved ice: This is actually more like a regular "shaved ice" with a hint of green tea flavor. You can find hot/cold sandwiches, cakes, pastries, macaroons, donuts, breads, shaved ice, and coffee! It's very similar to 85 Bakery but a lot more dessert style pastries. I really liked their mini garlic croissant and I wish they had large ones! Any of their pastries with strawberries on them are so tasty. I tried some of their strawberry pudding but I didn't enjoy it as much as I would have liked to. The last two times I have gone here I've gotten the green tea frappe.
