I am a fan of their pastries - especially their cheese ball and the seasonal strawberry breads. Their cakes are also very good - light and fluffy without being too sweet. Only gripe? The price. Pastries and cakes here are just a bit on the pricier side when you compare it to their competitors such as 85c Bakery. What do I always get here when I come? Their iced house coffee. Came in trying to by a birthday cake for my mother. One of the male employees was very dismissive and rude when I asked if he would be able to write "Happy Birthday" on it. He simply said "no" in a very rude way and nothing more. When I asked if it wasn't a possibility he just said "no" again and didn't elaborate. I have to admit I add on to the statistic that most girls love sweets/bakeries. How can I resist! Paris Baguette has good quality bread that tastes fresh. My favorite: the mochi & red bean bun! I almost passed by this but I read it said "rice" somewhere on the title and realized it meant theres mochi inside the bread. so good. I like their milk souffle, chestnut bread, coffee bread, and creme puff with fresh strawberries as well. Totally did not expect a Paris Baguette to be in Fullerton. We were around the area and after going crazy over how cheap the produce was at the Korean market next door, we stopped by to grab some breakfast for the next day. Same offerings as all the other Paris Baguettes. Sweet potato bread, croissants, cookies, cakes, etc. I went with the usual and also got a new item, Sweet Potato Garlic. Yes, it is actually quite odd how the two are put together, but I'm a sucker for sweet potato and a huge fan of garlic so why not? Very strong garlic small, and in fact, you can barely smell the sweet potato! I was expecting a huge punch of garlic from my first bite but it is actually quite mellow and oddly, it does work with the sweet potato. Don't really know how to explain it but it definitely interesting! Baked goods are a bit pricey compared to others. Bread can easily go over $2 for some offerings. There's also the same drinks. Solid lattes. I find their flavored drinks to be on the sweet side. I do like this location since it's pretty big, and it feels cleaner than many of the ones in LA. This is probably the best Paris Baguette location I have been to so far. It has a huge seating area and there are a ton of samples on top of the pastry cases. It's always a good idea to have samples! It makes choosing easier. They had caneles so I had to get one. Unfortunately there were no samples but the ones I've had at other places were really good. If you don't know what it is, it's bell shaped and has a soft & tender custard center with a dark, thick caramelized crust. I was so disappointed after trying it though because it tasted stale and hard. I also picked up a green tea croissant twist and it was decent. It was flaky and buttery but didn't taste like green tea at all. I tried a sample of the sweet potato one and that was legit. It was really good and I kinda regretted not getting that instead. Cute looking place with good looking pastries. I've always wanted to try a Cronut and here they got it! This is my first time ever eating a cronut so I'm not sure how other places make theirs, but I like Paris Baguettes cronut so far. It was a little oily, but good and delicious. It's crispy on the outside and goes really good with the custard filling that was on top. My husband found this while yelping desserts of course. This is a neat little bakery next to their deli in a small strip mall in Fullerton. They also have a few other locations that I have not gone to yet. They have quite a variety of breads, pastries, puddings, tarts. cakes, etc. Pudding was okay, but I loved the cream cheese donut/pastry thing I had as well as the berry pastries they have in the cooler section. They also sell the green tea cake that I loved when a co worker brought one in from another place. I will have to grab one, some day. One con is that people talk about the berry tarts but I have yet to run into those. I only see one kind if any when I go. Maybe it is my timing. Service is also very friendly. I will have to go try the deli soon as well. If you need some quick sweets. This is a place to check out. Came here on a whim with a friend. We woke up feeling like coffee and pastry but not just typical Starbucks so I yelped places in the area, and I'm so happy I did. Ok I'm not gonna lie, I was a little tripped out at the location because the place itself is very nice inside but everything around it is kinda worn down. How did I not know about this place? It's just a couple of miles from me, easy to get to, and I pass it all the time. My partner and I were driving around hungry, looking for something to eat... so when I saw the sign we decided to try it. Right when we entered, there was a display of fresh sandwiches that looked very tempting. We walked around and viewed all the beautiful pastries, then decided to try the sandwich. I got a big bacon and swiss sandwich on a great french bread, and had them toast it. And it was heaven! We also had a couple of pastries and they were very, very good. I don't eat at a lot of bakery cafes, other than Porto's... and I consider Porto's to be the standard to judge other bakery cafes. So my friend dragged me (I did not want to go) into this place and I instantly was enthralled with what I saw. They have a ton different pastries, breads and goodies to eat. I got the cheese frank pastry and it was really good! I also got a couple of macarons (pistachio and hazelnut). Atmosphere: LOVE that it's so bright and spacious! I feel comfortable and happy just walking in there. It makes me want to sit down and buy something, just spend my day there admiring all the beautifully crafted pastries and baked goods! After walking the aisles a couple of times, I decided to go with the coronet pie, which was very light and flakey, and the eclair, which had a just the right amount of chocolate. However, the coronet pie wasn't special in flavor and the eclair would have been much better cold; my personal preference for eclairs are cold cream centers. Other: They have shaved ice (Hawaiian style, not Taiwanese/shaved snow). The green tea shaved ice had a strong matcha green tea flavor, kind of like green tea ice cream. It was pleasant and just what I was looking for. It melted kind of quickly, but was VERY refreshing! Grab a straw before you leave so you can have every last bit of it! Oh man...I can't believe how much I've been missing out. I've been going to the Vietnamese restaurant next door like forever...or picking up marinated short ribs at the Korean market.... and stupid me just ignored Paris Baguette. A few weeks ago, my coworker and I decided to check out Paris Baguette after lunch, and now I'm hooked on the sweet stuff there...especially the cronuts. I wasn't aware that this was a Korean chain until I asked one of the workers...but I should've known since I did notice a lot of the baked goods (like the peanut butter bread) that are at the Korean market side shops. The place was packed today a little after lunchtime. Seems like a cool place to hang out. Fairly clean and modern looking interior although the clientele seemed to be making a mess out of the place...I guess the workers didn't have a chance yet to clean up after some of the sloppy eaters. It looks like Paris Baguette will be one of my regular stops from now on when I'm in the Fullerton area...or if I happen to see one along the way at one of their SoCal locations. Greeted right when you walk in - not only by the quirky dudes wearing Frenchmen shirts and hats at the register, but also by the overtaking aroma and view of insanely delicious pastries, sweet and salty. I came here on Saturday at around 1pm and it was completely empty! I started my way around the pastries and there were too many to choose from! I finally narrowed it down to strawberry filled cream puffs, pain au chocolat, croissant, rice ball and brioche. The cream puffs were good, the pate a choux had good flavor but I would have preferred a custard filling. The pain au chocolat had, dare I say it, too much chocolate. I liked the chocolate on the inside, but chocolate on both ends was overkill and I felt it took away from the pastry. I thought the brioche was good but it was strange that it was so flat. This may not be an issue for most people, but for others it maybe for those of you that use your debit card (with a chip) as credit and as not debit, to make your purchases. At this location, when you are making a credit purchase, not a debit purchase. You will find that after you insert your card, they will tell you that the system is asking for your PIN. You can tell them that you are using credit, but it won't matter. Your option is to either accept the debit option or cancel your order. Not cool. Paris Baguette, I am an egg tart lover, and your egg tarts are not too bad. Love the custard, though the shell could be more flaky. You are a cute, prettily decorated bakery near the Korean market, that my friend likes to shop at, so that's how we met, on a grocery shopping trip. Lots of variety here, from blueberry cream buns (yum, one of my favs!), to red bean buns (another one of my go tos), to fruit tarts. All delicious, love that they have samples for some of them. Most bakeries that I've been to don't do that. My one complaint is that it seems like they don't have all of their treats out everyday, or maybe they ran out or something? I've tried the Paris Baguettes from NYC and have been a fan of their cakes so I was excited to try it here. The Christmas cakes were sooo cute. About $38 for a round one. I had a Green tea latte that was very strong but good and a croissant. Not a lot of savory pastries selection. I bought a trio of sponge cakes: green tea, apricot and mocha and it wasn't bad. I was there on a Friday night at 8:10pm the chasier who seemed to be the manager named Erick rejected our business that they were not able to order any drinks, seeming like they were in a hurry to go home. If I was a manager at this establishment we wouldn't be sending home our customers when they close at 8:30pm to drinks they would enjoy because it doesn't take more than a few minutes to clean out an espresso machine or atleast make an batch before they close. I will never take my close ones back to this establishment ever again. Okay this place is awesome! See bottom of review for ruberick. The Ambiance: This place is adorable! They've got the pastries and seating space partitioned and the register conveniently located so as not to make traffic flow issues. The wall to the outside is all windows and really opens the place up. Tables are flexible and movable so you can sit in a small table for 2 or push a bunch of them together to make room for a large group. They've got free wi-fi and free refills on coffee, so it's also a great place to come do some work. Despite it having such freely designed space, it also feels very quiet and peaceful so it's a nice place to relax and unwind. I like snagging the table for 2 right by the windows. The Staff: I have NEVER received bad service here. Their staff is incredibly nice and friendly. It's fantastic! Gemma is the best, too! Sooo friendly and above and beyond kind, and you can tell by her face that she absolutely loves working here! The Food: I will warn people ahead of time that many of their breads and pastries contain soy in some form and this bakery is not one that caters to gluten free or vegan diets. The pastry bar is pretty awesome. They have sweet and savory. My favorite used to be the spicy chicken banh mi (please bring this back I am begging you!!!) and has since been replaced by the Curry Croquette and the Bacon Jam Focaccia (seasonal so grab now and maybe ask them to keep this on the menu year-round!). They have a good balance of sweet and savory fresh pastries and so far none of them have been something I just completely hate. The potato cheese balls would most likely taste much better heated up - it's like a nacho style cheese on the inside. Also, the cream cheese heaven was solid but could use a bit more cream cheese to be truly heaven. Other than that... soooo delicious! The donuts are to die for! The curry croquette is phenomenal, and at $2 it's a very cheap lunch to grab 2 of them!! They also have wrapped pastries, jams, sandwiches, and breads that you can take to go. They are still pretty moist and delightful when I get them home (strawberry sweet break - yum!) The drinks are just as much of a hit! They have pretty good roasted coffee (decaf, Columbian, and Hazelnut). Right now, it is $1. It's usually only $1 after a certain time of day as well (I wanna say 2pm? Could be wrong - double check that one). Their coffee station has the usual assortment of sugar and milk options BUT the one thing I ADORE is that they also have simple syrup. You guys, that tastes great and since it's already blended in you don't have to worry about stirring util the sugar melts, or granules in your coffee. They also have a fantastic iced peach tea that I like in the hot afternoons. Another hit is their Fog Lattes. I got the Vanilla Rooibos Fog Latte (latte + tea bag) during their Happy Hour (M-F 2-5pm fog lattes are 50% off) and oh my goodness it was a mouthful of the sweetest perfection I have had in a cup a very long time! The Price: They are very reasonably priced! Most of their pastries are anywhere from $1-$2, with some costing a little less or a little more depending on the size. All in all, you can pick 2-3 pastries and be quite full for lunch for less than $8 and try getting that even at fast food these days! Some of their larger take out items and jams can get a little pricy, and I have to be honest - I haven't even checked their cake displays because I usually hit up the pastry eat-in section, but so far I have no complaints! PB have a decent selection of pastries and bread. They have selections that you will not find in the famous Taiwanese bakery. I come here for croquettes but always end up leaving with other items. Their prices are comparable if not cheaper. They have a large dining area if you prefer to eat there but I always take my purchase home because I like my croquettes warm and toasted. Restaurant seemed dirty by the looks of the furniture as I walked in. I wasn't greeted at all. I bought 3 pastries, they looked good. The cashier didn't say anything but do you want a box and gave me the price. As I was driving home, I tried the mango pastry first. It had about a squirt of fruit in it and was very dry. Later I tried the blueberry and cream cheese pastry and the same with the previous pastry. Debating if I wanted to eat my last one, I got a strawberry pastry with cream on top.
