This place has awesome pastries! Everytime I bring pastries to a party from here, they are gone in a matter of minutes. The ones I have tried have been good, but especially love the chocolate croissant twist and sweet potato twist. Makes a nice breafast with some coffee. The only thing that is bad about these two is the fact you have to eat it the same day or they will get hard, but it's not too hard to not finish them. The cakes never disappoint. Kind of on the pricey side, but so delicious and pretty to look at. I like the mocha, strawberry, and blueberry cakes. The cake is light and airy and they use whipping cream instead of buttercream. The chocolate cake isn't so bad either since it's not too sweet. Just get the reward card and you"ll be earning free pastry in no time. read more

The pastries are distinct and gratifying, the establishment is neat and well kept, the prices are modest, and the service is quick. I go to this place at least once a week from my morning croissant with sausage and their cakes and desserts are spectacular . So beautiful and light . Always a hut at parties! Their customer service can use some works sometimes...not always the friendliest staff behind the counter . They have beautifully prepared sandwiches and fruit cups but make sure to check for freshness. I once found that my fruit cup had mold on the strawberries! Yikes. Took it back and they apologized and refunded me in full. Still go here regularly eve though there are 3-4 other bakeries on the same street within a mile or two from here. read more

Cronuts are where it's at! My coworker first introduced me to this place a month or so ago when he brought some cronuts in, and oh my goodness... it was heaven in my mouth. I went 2 times after trying to get some, and neither times were they ready yet, so a 3rd time I went later in the afternoon, and they were sold out. I'm not sure whether to give this French-Korean bakery a 3 or a 4. My main gripe is that there are a full array of items (lunch fare) available on their website that aren't available at this location. I think I'm going to have to go with 3 stars if they can't at least convince their affiliate site to say "not all menu items available at all locations" or something like it here: http://www.parisbaguetteusa.com/#!sandwiches/c1y8h They definitely still have their pastry sausages and ham and cheese croissants, but if you were hoping for a french deli sandwich, that's apparently no longer an option at this location, even in their cold case in the pre-packaged form. I SOOOO wanted a Chicken Pesto sandwich with soup, and it wasn't as though that particular item was sold out or not available today, and I could select a different lunch item - just that they don't serve lunch but don't clarify that on their site at all... If I knew this going in (i.e. it was anywhere on their site...at all), I probably would have given them a much higher score. I know folks may think "why not just score them based on their pastry?" which is easily 4 or 5 stars, especially if you're used to the slightly drier consistency of a lot of French-Asian baked goods, but I feel like people should know that they shouldn't trust the website to tell them what to expect in the store. read more

Someone at work bought a box of their chocolate-croissant and they were pretty amazing. I have traveled to France a few times, but never had anything close to this. Outside of the croissant was properly crispy and the inside was just soft enough filled with high-quality chocolate that was not too sweet or too bland. read more

DO NOT go here for shaved ice. Large grain bingsoo (shaved ice) was $8.50 and you basically get a large bowl of shaved ice with maybe a spoon of red beans, a tea spoon of almonds, and a pinch of grain powder. You can literally count the number of little rice cake they put in since they're so cheap on toppings. I asked them the topping is too little compared to the amount of ice and the owner said, "I gave you a lot" and she told one of the cashiers to pour a little milk over it. -_- Did I ask for milk??? Should I thank you for being so generous on giving me much "ice"??? Maybe another spoon of red beans would've fixed it but I guess that's expensive as gold. read more

I come here every Sunday early in the morning because when you come a little later in the afternoon all the best choices are gone. And, every thing is so fluffy, fresh, and light. I went to this Glendale location since it is the closest to La Crescenta and because I wanted a birthday cake for my dad's 60th. Did not disappoint, I have always said Koreans make the best birthday cakes, no artificial flavoring or colors. Just fruit, white frosting, and fluffy cake for only $31. I ate three slices as soon as I arrived home. Oh and they gave me six free candles for each decade of my dad's life and matches and a knife and that was nice too. read more

Unfortunately a great business like this that makes some awesome pastries has made very poor choices in hiring and training. I go in there today to get a cup of coffee like I usually do after eating at subway next door. I walk up to the register where an employee, a young acne faced Asian kid, was counting money. As he's counting he sees me in front of him waiting for a chance to order. After an awkward minute of waiting he acknowledges I'm there and he looks at me with a cold look. I ask for a cup of coffee and ask him about the cookies in the jar of they're sold individually, he responds with "of course it's sold by the jar, what do you think we would sell them individually?" He send shockwaves to my bones. I said" are you serious?" He responds with and I swear to God, " why are you asking al these questions?" I said "Are you having a bad day?" None of the other employees ever apologized for his behavior. It's really too bad I will never go in there again. I used to go in there and spend $50 at a time and buy pastries just to pass them out because they honestly make some awesome stuff. I won't be going there anymore. This is why yelp was made to justify this sort of mistreatment to customers. Times have changed now, we don't have to put up with this kind of crap anymore. I just got back from Paris so i am on the search for a real French baguette. Sadly, is is nothing like Paris. In fact the place is run by Koreans and only Koreans eat here. What is with all the lies? Just call it a Korean Bakery. It is nothing close to Paris. They don't have any ham and cheese with butter sandwiches. I mentioned this fact to an employee and was given a blank look. I am a custard fanatic and went in expecting amazing custard (after reading several reviews raving about it). Unfortunately I was disappointed.
