Baked goods in Honolulu, Hawaii... I wanted to celebrate a birthday with pastries and cake... I thought that the second location of Paris Baguette on Kapiolani Boulevard would be a good place to visit, but... Now that I think about it, maybe it could have been better... I'll start with the parking... Located in the lobby of the Renaissance Hotel, I thought that parking would be validated like they do for Sena Restaurant which is right next door... No... The first 20 minutes are free. After that, pay $1 for ten minutes. Shucks... I was going to sit and dine in the pleasant lobby! I selected a corner sofa and table, but had to bring my goodies elsewhere... and quickly! HAHA! I didn't have napkins and utensils anyway... The cashier forgot to charge me $1 for a ten minute parking ticket, so, I got an extra 10 minutes for free. If i didn't have that extra 10 free minutes, I would have had to pay $4.50! Ouch! The service needs improvement. After I left Paris Baguette, I studied my bill. I thought that $54 was pricey for 5 items. Then again, my sandwich was $13. But hey... why did they charge me for an $11 Caprese sandwich that I never got? I went back because of their error. The cashier had to search their records and deleted that charge feom my credit card. Note: I parked in the front and asked the valet if I could just run in and fix my bill. They were really good about that! Thanks! Later, I studied my bill again... and realized that I was charged for two croissants when I only got one! Oh, gee whiz... I'll have to go back. Gads... I can't believe these two errors! If I had more time there, maybe I could have spotted the errors, but I felt the time crunch... haha! Oh... and the app... I wasn't able to get credit for my purchase because there's a bug in the app! It kept crashing! Wow... Could anything else go wrong? Uh... Lemme think about it... The good thing was that the croissant was very flakey! It had a nice outer crisp and soft interior! The fruit tart was good! The egg tart was okay! The beautiful, colorful slice of Rainbow Cake was fun with subtle fruity layers! The fig mozzarella prosciutto sandwich was not bad! I guess I would go back on a Sunday when street parking is free... or just be quicker about picking up and paying? Sadly, this location doesn't accept online orders and they don't answer their phone.

Attached to my hotel lobby was this bakery. It smelled devine every day when I would pass it so I stopped in for breakfast a couple days. The staff was so friendly. They even let me try samples of their coffee choices. I got to try Korean iced coffee, which was so sweet, it didnt need any additional sweetener. I ordered the strawberry custard croissant and a carmel macchiato. It was so good and portion sizes were great. I would definitely recommend to any visitor in the area.

We dropped in with some friends. We actually parked at the Ala Moana Center and walked over. It's a small place with no seating inside. After we got our orders, we sat in the lobby of the hotel I had an almond pastry and Americano Coffee. It was great. It was a perfect way to end the night after our Taiwanese dinner.

Paris in Honolulu... Love to see this second Paris Baguette location in the lobby of the Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa right on Kapiolani Blvd across Ala Moana Center. I was excited to finally give this place a peek and do think they have self parking with validation but wasn't quite feeling to try it out knew at on Sundays street parking is free and with several available right in front of the shop free it was an easy transition in to shop. Entrance is through the lobby right beside the restaurant and it was much smaller than I anticipated and later realized they now have the space once occupied by a cafe, a great place for hotel guests for something simple and crafted but unless you're in the area parking can be the most challenging. The staff was less than friendly as it was late in the night there was still a decent selection and is nice to have a bakery open late while many close early you can still pick up various baked items along with drinks and even sandwiches as well just not much place to sit and relax here as it feels more like a grab and go location download their app to earn points for various rewards and challenge as well. Than you!

Stopped by for a little afternoon treat and I'm still thinking about it. The iced salted caramel matcha was perfectly balanced -- earthy matcha flavor with just the right touch of caramel sweetness and a subtle salty finish that made it so addictive. Not overly sweet, super smooth, and so refreshing. And the raspberry pastry? Absolute perfection. Buttery, flaky layers with a bright raspberry filling that had the right amount of tartness to cut through the richness. It tasted fresh and not heavy at all. Such a cute spot for a sweet break. Definitely coming back to try more.

This location is convenient compared to the one downtown, at least for me. Service is generally good. It can get busy with larger orders from nearby working people--so be patient or plan your visit wisely! Tons of freshly baked savory and sweet goodies. Always looks beautiful and the store is well-kept/clean. Tip: Download and sign up for the rewards app to earn points towards freebies and discounted drinks/pastries! Xadian made my $3 iced latte today perfectly and offered excellent customer service. They were very caring and efficient!

Congratulations on your new location! How exciting to have these treats available :) This afternoon wasn't too busy, as I was able to navigate through all of their self-serve compartments. A very kind worker provided me with a tray and thongs which I gladly filled. Starting with the refrigerated egg salad sandwich, this was a delightful combination of fresh sliced bread, generous filling of egg salad, and crisp cucumbers. All together, a delicious mouthful that didn't have excessive mayo. I absolutely loved their almond pastry. The filling is divine! Perfect balance of flakey outer pastry and creamy almond filling. Not too sweet and just the right size. For those of you craving savory, their curry croquette is really good. They will toast it for you if you'd like. Tastes better when they warm it up, in my humble opinion. They are generous with the curry filling too. The warm Chai latte was a little sweet for me. I will ask for less sweet next time. Can't wait to slice open the Heavenly Cheesecake after dinner! With tax and tip, I spent almost $50. Their fast and friendly service was appreciated, I will be sure to return!

Paris Baguette on Bishop Street (1st location in Honolulu) knows me well. Tho parking at the original location is always a bit challenging, this newer store is so easy. If you park in the Renaissance Hotel, the first 30 minutes is only $1... be sure to purchase the parking validation at Paris Baguette. Otherwise, lots of street metered parking on the back of the Renaissance (Makaloa St). Storefront is located on the Kapiolani Street side of Hotel. PB can be accessed from Kapiolani as well as the lobby of the Renaissance. If you are at Ala Moana Center, its across the street and directly across from "The Central" Condominiums. Lovely sitting areas in the lobby of hotel as well as outside under umbrellas. My takeaways today included a few croissants, a few iced drinks (coffee was sooo refreshingly delicious... its Lavazza!) and shhh my very favorite pecan tart. Didn't get my other favorite as had just finished lunch... egg salad sandwich but they had it! The cold savory case was nicely stocked as well as the sweet patisserie displays. Will I be back? Absolutely! Love the new location. Just opened yesterday, best wishes to Mina and the Paris Baguette family.

Since staying at the Renaissance hotel on Kapiolani I checked out the new Paris Baguette . They're located inside the lobby of the hotel . It's a small area in the backside of the lobby although they're pretty busy with hotel guest and neighboring businesses. Since it's October I tried their iced Pumpkin latte it was ok along w/ mini croissant, strawberry mochi donut and ham and cheese croissant. My favorite was the ham and cheese croissant they warmed it up and it was crispy and flaky.

Got the sea salt butter roll. I hope it's good. Came in before closing. Friendly staff. Too bad whenever I come to this location the selection is a bit limited. I previously had the chocolate ganache cake which was enjoyed by all.

I have visited this location multiple times since they first opened and I have to say the pastries and selection do not disappoint. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the interior is small but clean and bright. Located on Bishop Street where the old Starbucks used to be, this location is not the easiest to find parking for. There are parking structures around downtown, or if you're there early in the morning like I usually am, you can find limited street parking. Although I struggle with parking sometimes, I always look forward to their wide variety of both savory and sweet pastries. My favorites that I always grab are their mini croissants, salted butter rolls and almond pastry. This time my boyfriend and I tried their seasonal holiday drinks. I got the Iced Peppermint Mocha and my boyfriend got the Iced Cinnamon Sugar Churro Latte. They do provide milk alternatives, we both got oat milk. Both the Cinnamon Sugar Churro Latte and Peppermint Mocha latte were a little too sweet, I wish there was a little more espresso, and I wish there was a little more peppermint flavor in the Peppermint Mocha. But overall this was a good way to start the holiday season. As a side note, don't forget to sign up for their free rewards program and download the Paris Baguette app to get points towards a free pastry or drink :)

The new Paris Baguette across from Ala Moana Shopping Center is such a fun and dangerous place for anyone with a sweet tooth! This was my first time going to one of their locations, and honestly... how do you not want to try everything? The cases are filled with beautiful pastries, breads, and cakes that all look like little works of art. Be ready to pay though-these aren't cheap pastries. Most run about $3-$6 each, but they're totally worth it. The quality, flavor, and presentation are all top-notch. They have both savory and sweet options, and their cakes are amazing! I love that they do seasonal treats too- like their gummy worm spooky doughnuts. I bought a mix of things to sample, including their rainbow cake, which was delicious, moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Everything I tried was so good. Parking can be tricky, but I just pulled up on the side and told the hotel valet I was running in, they let me keep my car there for a few minutes. Super convenient. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area and want to treat yourself!

This is a new bakery located inside the Renaissance Hotel. It's a small place, but it's full of beautiful-looking breads and pastries -- mostly on the sweeter side. They also have sandwiches, which look good too. I tried four different items, and even though they all looked quite sweet, the taste was pleasantly balanced and not overly sugary. The cakes looked delicious as well, so I'd love to try those next time. Welcome to Ala Moana area! It's easy to access and a nice new spot to grab something sweet. Thank you for the lovely treats!

Macarons - $3.99 per 1. Expensive! But my toddler liked it.

This might be one of the only places in Waikiki open at 4 AM which is perfect if you've just arrived the night before from the East Coast. The inside of the shop feels homey. They have a display case full of pastries along with additional baked goods set out nearby. For my coffee on this morning I decided to go with a coconut latte and then ordered a blueberry malasada while my father went with a custard-filled one. At Maleko, the malasadas are pre-made but not filled until you order which I think is a smart move. I first tried my blueberry malasada and thought it was good. The dough was light and fluffy and the filling had a great flavor. As for my coffee, I have to agree with other reviews that the syrup made it overly sweet. I still drank it, but I definitely would have preferred something less sweet. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again for the malasadas. As for the coffee, I would probably pass unless you prefer your drinks on the sweeter side.

It was less than three dollars including tax, so definitely affordable. The guava filling was great, but the donut itself was kind of bland. If it weren't so cheap, I would have given it three stars. A great high-protein, lower-carb way to start the day! The salad had a nice variety of colors, textures, and crunch from the pistachios and onions. It also came with a small cup of sweet and savory dressing that tied everything together beautifully. The smoked ahi spread was fresh, flavorful, and not overly fishy. It was served with a slice of freshly toasted garlic bread that was warm, fragrant, and perfectly crisp without being overly toasted. // Wailua Moana Açaí Bowl So refreshing! Easily one of the best açaí bowls we've had. The texture was thick and smooth with a great balance of fresh fruit, crunchy granola, and healthy fats from the nuts. Every bite was delicious. // Matcha We ordered both the regular matcha latte with coconut foam and the strawberry matcha latte. I was so disappointed they no longer offer the lilikoi matcha- I know that flavor combination would've been amazing! Hopefully they bring it back someday. The matcha itself was on the lighter side compared to richer ceremonial matchas, but it was still smooth, well-balanced, and not at all astringent. It paired really well with the oat milk, and both drinks were enjoyable. There was a line out the door during breakfast/brunch hours, which shows just how popular this place is. Despite the crowd, the service was friendly and efficient, and we were able to grab a small table to dine in. It's located on the upper level of the Royal Hawaiian Center, making it a convenient stop while shopping in Waikiki. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu (hoping the lilikoi matcha will make a comeback too)!

This is the only standing Kulu Kulu and I hope this place does not close, or if it does relocate, come closer to Central Oahu where the rent is cheaper, haha (hint). This location is on the outer edges of Waikiki on Hobron Lane in Eaton Square. I rarely venture to Waikiki, and if I do make the dreaded drive to "town", this place and Kan Sushi will be the only regular places where I will make my stop(s), because its so worth it. I've had a long-standing love-affair with Kulu Kulu from the Shirokiya Food Court location with it's waffle bears and Hello Kitty waffles, the takeout Nama Chocolate cups stocked at Mitsuwa Marketplace and now here, in town. The Ube Coconut Mousse $6.95 blew our minds, it was THE best tasting thing, ever. Both the ube and the coconut were not cloying, and as with all of their treats, not overly sweet either. That's why I love Japanese pastries, they get the sweetness just perfect and I have no idea how they mastermind that ratio! Strawberry Panna Cotta $5.95 was creamy, flavorful, delicious and surprisingly light and refreshing for such a creamy dessert. I normally don't get this kind of combination of flavors, and it tasted like something you'd get in a Michellin-rated establishment. Looking back at the photos, I see vanilla bean seeds in the panna cotta, so every loving detail and nuance shows through with each mouthful. Nama Chocolate $5.75 is my go-to chocolate LOVE. It's cut into cool creamy semi-sweet squares dusted with cocoa and it melts in your mouth! This is my favorite of all things that Kulu Kulu makes. I actually enjoy this better than the famous Royce Chocolates from Japan. We ordered another seasonal Strawberry dessert slice cake but it was eaten before I could review (and/or taste it); I've heard it was very very delicious. This place is so good that I plan to bring my friends who will be visiting from Virginia here to try their pastries. I also plan to support this business for as long as I can and make more frequent trips to town just to get these amazing desserts.
