Having come back from Korea, where Paris Baguette originated, I went to several during my trip and none were as large as this one. I will be back to this store soon. I was in the area and decided to stop by this location to pick up my complementary cake slice. This location is in a strip mall off Santa Rita next to the 580 freeway. The store cases were well stocked with products and the store was not busy. I selected a Ganache Cream Cake slice and the clerk put it in a nice handle box and scanned my app and I was on my way. I normally go to the one in Dublin which is always pleasant and nice. Not too sure about this location in Pleasanton. The bread displays are froggy. I couldn't see through from the outside. Had a snack here with several of my coworkers on a Monday just before noon time. It was nice being able to use the private room for our group (not reservable in advance and the policy 2 hours max, not sure if it's enforced). But getting internet access was ridiculous, nearly impossible, even after workers confirmed the password multiple times and we informed them that none of our laptops nor phones were able to connect. Eventually, they gave us a different password for an alternate connection that worked (typically not meant for guests), but it wasn't very good, shoddy and slow. Needless to say, we didn't stay long. Besides the cute cakes with colorful and creative designs in the display case at the front counter, the selection for pastries and beverages wasn't impressive to me. Overall, I didn't find the options to be that appealing, and a number of items were out of stock. Ended up getting a pepperoni pizzetta and chocolate chip muffin, which tasted fine eaten at room temperature, but nothing about it had me wanting to return here, especially considering the terrible or nonexistent wifi causing an inconvenience if you're hoping to get work done on site. read more

4 for the Matcha which I only got a few sips of before I spilled it all over the car floors board when backing up and forgetting it was sitting on my console. I was headed to LA on a long road trip with no sleep and needed it, but oh well. It tasted good for a minute lol. The pastries looks very sugary and too dry for my taste. I'm a moist less sugar type. They made the matcha without sugar and only honey and it was still sweet. I think they like sugar at this spot ;) Very clean, great service, tons of sugar options! Easy parking. I have been here several times and each time gets worst! This location is closer to home but I swear every time I come, there's a fault smell entering the store. It's a pastry/cake place which should smell like fresh baked goods but it smelled almost like bad sewage. We have been getting our cakes from Paris Baguette for about 7 years for birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers, pretty much every occasion my kids and pretty much whole family look forward to getting a cake from here because they're that good. I called yesterday to ask if a certain cake would be available and if it would be fresh. I was assured that they're made fresh. We picked up the cake, service was ok nothing great, the cashier grabbed the cake from the display I asked again if it was fresh he said yes of course, we ordered celebration cake for my daughter's birthday who waited all year for a cake from here. Omg the cake tasted awful! It was dry, tasteless, hard, stale just so bad. My husband and I were shocked . It tasted as if it was several days old, nobody wanted seconds ( not even the kids) and now few people of my family are complaining of stomach ache. What a shame, we looked forward to today's cake and were let down big time. And they're not cheap either. I wish I would've just went to Safeway and got the strawberry cake. read more

Literally THE best Paris Baguette location I've tried this far. And I've tried quite a few on different states. Came around 10AM on a weekday, found parking right up front. Walked in. Trays are to the left. But first sanitize your hands. Then grab wax paper, place it onto your tray grab the tray and a set of tongs. Browse the pasties and pick what you want by using tongs and placing it onto your tray. I go for the ham and cheese croissant and the bacon and cheese pastry. Grab a hot or iced beverage. I wanted to try the Dubai hot chocolate but they were out of it. Shocker! So I got a matcha latte and it came out PIPING HOT, which I prefer as it allows it time to cool to my preferred temperature rather than being served like warm. Service was perfect, fresh pastries were being put out as I browsed. Ambiance was pretty chill as there was only 1 other customer there at that time. Clean establishment. read more

I was getting tired of the same old breakfast options at starbucks, peet's, philz, etc. and was sooo happy to see this place has a wide selection of drinks bc of course their food selection is is much greater then the places I just listed. I saw the prosciutto, fig, and goat cheese pizzeta and was sold!! i love that combination. It's like a charcuterie board combo. It tasted exactly as i expected and I will absolutely be ordering it again. I also tried the pumpkin pie custard tart. It was very good and not too sweet. I had to stop myself from eating the whole thing, so I could enjoy the other half for dessert that evening as I originally intended. There's spacious seating and an assortment of pastries: smoked sausage bread, vegan elderberry muffins, decadent chocolate brownies, pepperoni pizzetta, a variety of cake slices, NY style cheesecake, sandwiches, and cookies. I placed an order for online pickup for 8am. It included a coffee traveler along with about $100 in pastries. I arrived at 8:20 and was told by the manager it's still getting ready. While I was waiting for the coffee I checked the pastries to make sure everything was there. I noticed that 3 of the egg and cheese bread rolls were missing. I had let a younger gentleman know and he very rudely yelled at me that they are being warmed. After I received the coffee and rest of my pastries, I noticed I didn't have the milk I ordered with the coffee. The manager then proceeds to pour the two milk options i ordered (oat and half and half) in coffee cups, then covered the lid with scotch tape to "seal" it. When I asked which cup was which milk, he told me "you can tell by the color of the milk." I was appalled by this response. They also had no bags to carry the multiple items. Note when I went to Dublin PB for a similar order, I received the mills in sealed bottles with labels. Walked out the door by 8:30am. Overall a very horrible experience. Pick up order 30 minutes late. Extremely rude staff from the manager to the staff. Would highly recommend trying out other Paris Baguettes before going to this one. read more

We have been visiting this location for a couple of years every six weeks or so. I appreciate the beauty of their pastries. This blueberry chiffon tasted like a blueberry muffin. I love their raisin bread and frequently take a loaf home. The staff is lukewarm and the bathrooms are often poorly maintained which explains my stars. read more

First impression walking in was marvelous, like if I had just stepped into a little piece of Heaven. The options are to grab a tray and you can walk down a small variety of fresh baked pastries, and breads, then if you are done you can go up to the register and pay, or you can get in line for choices behind the counter, like sandwiches, whole cakes, sliced cakes and different handmade crafted drinks. I purchased two baguettes and one slice of the strawberry cream soft cake. There was only one baguette available so I grabbed it and once I had went to pay, I asked the young man if they had any more baguettes which he said it would be a 12 minute wait.. I had no problem with that. He went back into the back and when he came out, he said that he put it in the oven, not even five minutes later our baguette came out so warm and soft. My daughter and I could not resist having a piece right then and there... never would I not want butter, but this baguette is so fresh, so delicious no butter is needed. Service was great. Bathroom needed toilet seat covers, but overall the whole experience was great. We most certainly will be back. read more

I agreed with some of the yelpers that this branch tends to give or deliver the wrong order. This has already happened to me twice. Since I don't live in the vicinity and it's the only branch that will do delivery to my in-laws, I still order from them and hope they don't make mistakes. First wrong order happened over 4th of July of 2024. I was in the area and I had a 4th of July party to attend so I ordered a 4th of July themed cake. I was in a hurry hence I didn't check my order until I was about to head to the party. I called as soon as I realized it. The rep that answered my call told me they would give me another cake to make up for the cost as 4th of July cake since it was a specialty cake. However when I got there, all they did was give me a cake topper tag that says "Happy 4th of July". I was like "are you seriously kidding?". I paid for a specialty cake and not a specialty cake topper. They refused to honor it until I pulled out an online receipt that specifically showed a 4th of July themed cake. Then, the guy went into the back and brought out the right cake. This made me feel like they are dishonest about it. It made me feel that so they had the cake all along and just wanted to cheat out on me. If I hadn't kept a screenshot of the online receipt, I would have been screwed. Second wrong order happened recently before the Superbowl. It was my mother-in-law's 84th birthday and we couldn't celebrate with her so I sent a cake. I specifically ordered a cappuccino cake (mini) but instead it was a chocolate cake that got delivered. My in-laws took a picture and texted me and that's when I realized it was the wrong cake. Granted the dollar amount was equivalent but it's still dishonest about how the business operated. I feel it was intentional and it can't be coincidental that it happened twice, especially other yelpers have reported this as well. older short lady with a bob is HORRIBLE!!!!! Came here for the fist time today with a coupon that i got in the mail for a free coffee. This was my first time ever coming here with my boyfriend and we were excited to try it out. We picked out a pastry and went to the front to pay and get our coffee and the worker was EXTREMELY rude from the start. We gave her the coupon and she asked what coffee we wanted so we asked for the Korean iced coffee. She immediately turned around and poured coffee out of a keg and put it on the counter and charged us. We pointed to the coupon confused on why we were being charged and she then scoffed and rolled her eyes..She treated us as if we were stupid and informed us we could only get a basic drip coffee. Which leads me to say that the coupon is worded poorly and her thick accent wasn't helping with this misunderstanding. She then raised her voice at us and acted as if we stupid and were wasting her time. Just decided to walk out and not even get any items. This was by far the worst service I've experienced in a long time. I will inform others to never come to this location. Ordered delivery and received an egg twist roll not boxed or in a bag. The donuts were in a box and taped but the egg twist roll was just out in the open in its plastic bag/paper wrap. Last few orders the egg roll was packed in a blue small bag and stapled. I assumed this is the standard always. The ring camera caught the delivery person accidentally drop the roll on the ground because it slipped off the small box holding donuts. Not the delivery person's fault. On my last visit, I waited at least 5 minutes just to pay for my pastries because the cashier struggled to figure out the price. Also, be aware -- they don't provide free candles for cakes here, which they used to. Cleanliness is another issue. The tables were dirty and the space felt messy overall. Thankfully, a new Paris Baguette opened in Livermore, and Tous Les Jours in Dublin still delivers much better service and quality. Sadly, this location is a true mess. read more

This review is mainly going to be about the service, in particular about the older lady that has a short bob haircut. I've been to this location twice and it's been her that has helped me each time and I had a not pleasant experience both times. Today, I went to pick up a cake I preordered for my sister's birthday. She opened the box for me to check and I noticed that the name was spelled wrong. She looked at me annoyed and told me that I could just take it home and scrap off the letter that's wrong. Ummm then it would still be wrong .... I even double checked the receipt to make sure that it wasn't me that mistyped name, if so then it's my fault. I explained that even if I did that it would still be missing a letter. She rudely took a paper and pen and slid it to me and goes "here write it down on how it's suppose to be" I pointed out that the name is spelled correctly on the receipt so that's all she has to look at. She then calls someone from the kitchen and a different girl comes out and says that they can fix it. Then a different lady comes out with the fixed name and lets me check the cake, she was a lot nicer. As I was walking out, the rude lady was on her way home. I guess my concern was holding her up from going home so I can only justify her unpleasant behavior with that. my least favorite Paris Baguette (PB) franchise location. I would rate it closer to a 3 but explain that later... never had any issues with staff so far per say... The bigger person cashier was actually quiet nice... he was very proud of his baby granddaughter :) Also got a free packaged bear snack before. So that was nice. *But* there was one time I just grabbed the last raisin bread (Dublin Paris Baguette I definitely prefer but they do not have raisin bread... Dublin PB explained they are franchises and dont carry the same stuff necessarily as Pleasanton PB). So I grabbed the last raisin bread without checking the date. When I got home, it was expired by 1 day. No problem just 1 day. But I ate it and it taste dry and definitely not tasty as usual. I threw it out. Not angry that it was expired but just worried that this is a bigger issue of attention to detail - where dates arent checked, food isn't as fresh... etc. I noticed too that some days they will set out some raisin breads (must be new stock) because they have various dates like some newer some older .. but never an expired date). That leaves me to believe that they are not baked fresh daily, which probably explains why the 1 day old raisin bread didn't taste good. (I assume a fresh baked bread wouldnt taste that bad on the 2nd day). **If I had to guess it looks more like they made it on Day X stamped all the dates (like expires in 2 or 3 days)... and you buy on day 4... then that bread doesn't taste as good as a bread stamped on day X expiring on day 2 or day 3. Confusing I know to give them the benefit of the doubt. / I would not buy again at 1 day past. It doesn't taste good, not spoiled but dry and not good tasting compared to fresh raisin bread or the ones that they put out recently with a sell by date farthest out. --- Bottom line I prefer Dublin PB overall to Pleasanton PB. But since Dublin does not carry the raisin bread currently I am stuck going to Pleasanton so I will keep checking dates! read more

A couple friends and I came by one evening..we walked in..we see four people behind the counter..not a greeting or any kind of acknowledgement. You can tell they couldn't wait til their shift was done. Anyhow, we picked up a few items. My friends wanted coffee with their pastries to eat while there. I got myself a heavenly cheesecake which I really like as well a mango mousse cake. My friends had their chocolate ganache cake and soft strawberry cake along with other items they were taking home. They had tried a taste of my cheesecake and ended up buying one for themselves to take home too. The place is spacious like other Paris baguettes I've been to. The chocolate croissant with mousse cream was a " must buy" in the past so I asked the lady if they still made it. She showed me the chocolate croissant but when I got home it did not have the chocolate mousse in the middle ! It was not what I wanted and surprised they would sell it to anyone! If you look at my pic, there is hardly enough chocolate in the middle to even cover your lips . Sad to say I need to find a new bakery where they pride themselves on quality and providing adequate help to consumers.
