I want to like this place so much because it's near home and would be a great spot to just have a coffee and relax for a few. But, eh, I can pass. The name says Paris Baguette, but the only thing Paris about the place is the wall paper and some Eiffel towers references. The employees wear black berets which everyone would think of as French, but since I have been to France I can tell you they really don't wear berets. I did not see a single one. The iced green tea was light and good, but when I saw the server pour it from the same container that I have in my own fridge all I could think of was....I could have gone home for this. I had a bite of a pastry thing that G had purchased. It was commercial tasting. The pastries in the open air area were just not all that appetizing, and again, not all that French. I saw what seemed to be "ok" looking croissants, but even those looked commercially made. It is very difficult to find an artisan croissant now days, due to the time it takes to actually make a croissant. Even in France, the pastry shops are becoming a rarity because of commercially made products. The seating in here is very nice and comfortable. The background music is so you can hear it and still talk to your partner, another plus. There were dirty tables in the dining area which were never cleaned during the visit. This place was not all that busy, so there was ample time for the employees to come out from behind the counter and wipe some tables. My disappointment is in the cleanliness of the place and really not much in the way of "French feeling" other than the decor. The food is definitely 90% Asian inspired. I never saw a "bean bun" in France, or the Asian sponge cakes in any patisserie. The top beverage being green tea should have been my clue....not French...but we all have clueless moments. Top-notch bakery but a bit pricey. Still worth it because of the unique variety and freshness. They also have delicious birthday cakes. The seating is super comfy and can sit a good amount of people. I've come to this location several times before since its walking distance and each experience has been subpar to average so I didn't bother reviewing until today. My order was taken by a nice lady who was wearing a hoodie and not a uniform who rang me up. She asked another worker to get the cake I wanted, this person did not bother to acknowledge me while boxing my cake and completely ignored me when I was thanking her because she was chatting across the store with her male coworker. Overall, I am a Paris Baguette fan. When it comes to Korean bakeries, this is my favourite franchise. However, this is a very small location. The seating is limited, and well worn. I don't know if they don't tape the holes in the couches because the tape will look bad and they think the holes look better, or because they are lazy. The parking is tiny. Don't expect a spot in their lot if it is a busy time of day... or really any time of day. They get full three stars for their usual quality of food and service. However, comparing them to other branches of their franchise, this one can use some TLC. read more

Great selection and quality in a nice shop. This was a great find. Large, open, modern interior with a large selection of french pastries and cakes. Most of what I had was very good, there were some misses, but nothing really bad. They have pretty good macarons, though they are a little chewy, but still very enjoyable. Breads are very nice too (great croissants), and while I didn't get one, they make some beautiful looking cakes. Nice flow to the place, and you can watch them making cakes right behind the counter (wish I could work as fast as they do!) They have a seating area which looks nice though I haven't stayed. Tonight we felt like having dessert so we picked up a blueberry chiffon cake (big slice) soft cake with cream and fresh blueberries and what seems like a cross between whipped cream and butter cream. The cake itself is a blend of cake flur and muffin mix but so delicious. In between the layers of cake there are blueberries and cream. We also a strawberry & blackberry fruit tart with pastry cream, althought this dessert.was good, the fruit tart was a bit more sweet. Both desserts were shared and the guy at the register even provided candles because my daughter's friend was celebrating her bday and we wanted for her to blow out her candles. I love this bakery. I first discovered it when I went to flushing but they opened a northern blvd location which is less crowded so I come here to get my favorite desserts there. I love the green tea lemon cake, green tea cake and the fruit tart ( the tarts my husbands favorite actually). I'm a dessert fan, especially when it comes to matcha and this place has some of the best cakes. I'm not a fan of the rich and creamy pastries but more of the light and fluffy types so for me this is a win. As for their drinks, they have a couple selections that I like but I usually come here to buy their cakes and breads too. It's a cute bakery. This place is my favorite Paris Baguette location in NY because of the service and the clean, open environment in the seating area. I ordered the green tea bingsoo but the green tea or matcha flavoring was too strong so my friend asked for more red bean and mochi. We expected them to give only a little or none at all but they gave a whole cup each of the red bean and mochi. There was so much mochi leftover in the cup at the end and as a mochi lover, I was super happy! I also tried the grapefruit and orange juices and I didn't particularly like them because they were too bland. Also, the chocolate lava cake is not great either. But all the pastries here are A+! What just happened to us here is hardly believable, but a true story nonetheless. This beautiful Sunday evening (between 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.), my lovely wife was craving bubble tea. We drove from our home to this, the Paris Baguette closest to us, and ordered a large hot milk tea with bubbles. The cashier was super nice, and while we were ordering, the barista standing next to her re-verified that we wanted a hot milk tea with tapioca bubbles. We answered in the affirmative. We jump into our vehicle and go home, only to realize that there were no tapioca bubbles inside our drink. Our initial response was essentially fury, so I left my wife at home to drive all the way back, only to be told by the same aforementioned barista that "usually, hot drinks don't come with bubbles." There are a few things wrong with this: first, we ordered the drink with bubbles and this barista behind the counter verified our order. Second, we were charged for bubbles. I wonder if she even hears her own response and how ridiculous it is. We ordered something and you gave us something else, much like ordering coffee and giving the customer tea. HelloooooooooOooooo??????? Anyhow, my response was "are you able to give me bubbles or not?!?!!!!" Needless to say, she gave my wife her tapioca bubbles. In the same cup! Perhaps it's too much to ask, but when my hot milk tea becomes cold due to your idiocy, don't you think that you should give me a new one? I've been to the Ktown location many times and when I spied the grand opening balloons I pumped the brakes and snagged a corner spot, thank goodness I wasn't rear ended. This is the biggest Paris Baguette I've seen since they took over what used to be an old Tony Roma's restaurant building. They have made good use of the space with lots of seating for the coffee crowd and a decent size bakery operation in the back. They have a large glass window looking into the ovens to make the bakers feel like zoo animals if you want to steal the recipes. The purveyors have some seriously good R&D as you will see pastry combinations that are unique and well executed. Even if I was high on acid, I wouldn't be able to figure out how to make sesame and tapioca taste well together in a carb package. Ditto for plum and flaxseed. It's now the only baguette I use for my lunch sandwiches. All in all, this was the perfect place to stumble upon while I was on my way to a funeral. read more

Paris Baguette wasn't too far away on Northern Blvd, but their mini-parking lot caters to eastbound travelers. After circling the block, we arrived at the Paris Baguette bakery. At 10:00 AM on a Saturday, there were plenty of spots for parking. I notice that their bakery hours are really early. If I recall correctly, they open at 7:00 AM. This Paris Baguette location was bigger than I imagined. The left side is for diners while the right side was the bakery. All Paris Baguette locations make me feel cold and this location is no exception. At 10:00 AM, not all bakery items are out for sale yet. I stood around waiting as trays upon trays were brought out. I can easily spend a lot of money here since everything is on the pricey side. My husband loved to buy a loaf of milk bread ($3.80) and we received a card with a stamp on it for each time we buy a loaf of bread. Once we have ten stamps, we get a free loaf of bread. I wish they had that promotion for the pastries because that's what I care about. I bought the following pastries, which were all delicious: - Fruit pastry $2.25 - Strawberry Croissant $2.25 - Peanut Crumb Bread $1.50 -Garlic Sweet Potato $2.00 -Pain Aux Chocolate $2.00 -Milk Bread $3.80 I paid everything ($13.80) with my credit card.
