Though it's nice enough inside, it seems like an older location - fairly small, tables a bit worn. But the selection is good and service is friendly. I ordered the s'mores supreme croissant and a coffee. The s'mores croissant was good! Marshmallow filling throughout, approximately oozing out when you take a bite, chocolate on the top with graham cracker bits embedded in the chocolate. A nice version of a s'mores pastry. Coffee was good and it's self service, so you can get refills if you wanted. I ordered a small coffee, but they gave me a medium cup, so I didn't need a refill. I think if the tables and chairs were refreshed, that would be a nice touch, but the pastries here (including a berry tart we tried as well later) was as good as any other location, so no reason not to come here if you're focused on the food items read more

worst location ever. I've been trying to give this location a chance since it's the only location close to where i live and other locations are in the next cities. Every time i come here, whether it's at 11AM, 3pm or 7:30PM they're always out of almost everything. It's like their baking crew are too lazy to make sure to restock pastries? i've worked in the food industry and i know restocking goodies are a basic necessity for a successful bakery. I was really hungry at lunchtime today while out running errands and the nearest place that sounded good was Paris Baguette. The bakery was bright and modern with several tables available for seating. I selected a crab meat croquette, pastry frank, and a box of chocolate cream puffs. After I paid, the staff warmed my food and quickly brought it to my table. I know this is a popular chain and tons of people like their food, but it wasn't to my taste. The inside of the crab meat croquette was more like a crab salad and the flavor was off, plus they only give you a little bit of it. The pastry frank, which is basically a hot dog in a croissant, also tasted off. I took two bites and threw it away. The chocolate cream puffs were okay. The chocolate coating on the outside tasted good and there was lots of light chocolate cream inside. I liked that they were nice and cold since they came from a glass refrigerator case. First and last time coming to this location. I purchased a cake this morning at 7:00 a.m. and asked if they could write "Happy Birthday" on it, but I was told they didn't have chocolate available for the writing. I also asked for candles and was told that they only had candles available for purchase. At every other location I've visited, candles have always been provided with a cake purchase. I love the desserts that Paris Baguette makes. It's not too sweet and the cream on many of their desserts weren't heavy. I decided to try their strawberry cream croissant and chocolate cronut. The strawberry cream croissant was a mouthful that you can share with another. The chocolate cronut had a good amount of cream inside the croissant shape donut. Croissant wasn't dry or flaky. On July 29, I placed and received confirmation for an online pickup order for two birthday cakes to be collected on August 2 for my niece's 4th birthday party. Because I received an order confirmation several days in advance, I had every reason to believe that my order had been accepted and would be ready as promised. However, on the morning of August 2, I was informed that one of the cakes was not available. I was then told that there is "no connection" between the online ordering system and the physical store. I find this explanation completely unacceptable. As a customer, I should be able to rely on an order confirmation from a national chain. It is unreasonable to expect customers to place an online order, receive confirmation, and then still have to call or visit the store to verify that the order actually exists. What made the experience even more frustrating was that a store employee told me that it was my fault because I did not call to confirm the order. If that is truly your process, it should be clearly communicated during checkout. Customers should not be blamed for relying on your online ordering system. This was not just an inconvenience. It was for a young child's birthday party. I had specifically promised my niece the chocolate cake with marshmallows that she had chosen, and at the last minute I had to scramble to find a replacement. I spent valuable time driving around searching for another cake instead of celebrating with my family. I missed a significant portion of my niece's birthday because I was dealing with a problem that should never have happened. The situation caused a tremendous amount of unnecessary stress and frustration during what should have been a happy family celebration. Even after finding a replacement, it was not the cake my niece had wanted, and the entire experience left a very negative impression. Several parents at the party were shocked that a company as established as Paris Baguette could fail to honor a confirmed order in this manner. I believe this situation reflects serious issues with your ordering process, communication between your online platform and stores, and customer service. Paris Baguette has a pretty good rewards program, and new offers show up in the app from time to time. I took advantage of the free pastry with any purchase offer last week and ordered two items for pickup at this location. On my way, I got a call from the staff saying that both of my selections were out, but I could get a credit card refund online, cash refund at the store, or I could pick something else at the store. Since I was almost there already, I decided to just go there and see what's available. There's a short line as usual. (I had been to this location many times.) When it's my turn, the staff told me I could pick any pastry items in the store, or get 1 slice of cake. No need to pay any price difference. Very generous of them. At 4:30pm, they still had quite a few pastry options left, just not my usual go-tos. I liked their almond croissants and noticed that they had raspberry almond croissants. So, I got 2 of those. They're like fresh after heating up in the toaster oven the next day. The raspberry jam was surprisingly good and addicting, and there was quite a lot of it, in addition to the almond paste. It's now my new favorite! (My old favorite was their chocolate supreme croissant with its delicious and light chocolate cream filling, plus smooth & rich chocolate dip on the outside.) I still haven't seen the raspberry almond croissant in the app, though. I guess when I have a craving for it again, I have to come to the store and order it in person. One thing worth nothing is that unlike other PB locations, this location has the brewed coffee dispenser in the cream & sugar area so you can easily refill your coffee. ;-) read more

I love Paris baguette and had never been to this location even with it in my area of the city. Last night, (Monday 2/9 around 545pm), the hubs and I decided to pop in after perusing the menu online. We were only there 5 mins and decided it wasn't the place for us. Not busy at all. No one even spoke to us. We walked around checking out the items available. It was pretty empty. When I was closer to the counter, a young man was standing at the register staring straight ahead, I said "hello", no response. A young woman standing behind the counter I hadn't noticed at first had stepped into my view and I thought we made eye contact but I guess not, no greeting. We decided being ignored wasn't worth spending our money on, and I didn't see what I had come in to try. A simple hello couldn't changed this perception. Cake ordering and pickup this time was quick and easy. I called and someone answered phone right away. I ordered 1 cake but ended up getting a second one at the shop. I got a rabbit cake and asked them to write happy Birthday which they obliged but wrote it the wrong way. Should write Happy Birthday with the rabbit's face turned towards the person not other way. I come to this location fairly regularly in the mornings to get some work done, and I genuinely enjoy the coffee. I usually try to mind my own business, but it's hard not to notice what goes on around you when you're a frequent customer. Unfortunately, the management here has been very disappointing. There appears to be a clear issue with professionalism and favoritism. One employee I believe her name is Blanca, consistently spends time in the back kitchen engaging in flirtatious behavior with male coworkers rather than focusing on work. The kitchen area is visible from the seating area, so this isn't something that goes unnoticed. What's especially frustrating is the obvious shift in behavior when a higher up is present. Suddenly, there's a sense of urgency and productivity that's otherwise lacking. As a regular customer, the contrast is very noticeable. I wouldn't be as bothered if this didn't seem to affect the overall work environment, but it creates an uncomfortable and unprofessional atmosphere. I come here to enjoy coffee and get work done, not to watch employees openly flirt instead of doing their jobs. Pre-COVID we held lots of gatherings and potlucks at work. I'm not sure how we managed it because now post-COVID, it seemed like going to lunch is such a luxury. There's no time to even get up to use the restroom most days. Anyway, when we had the potluck at work, I remember my team member took the Japanese cheesecake home as there were lots of leftovers. I remembered him saying the next day that both he and his wife enjoyed the cheesecake very much. For this coffee break that I'm conducting as a Zoom meeting later, I bought he and his wife this cheesecake. It's a small token of appreciation and deliciousness. It is light and not too sweet. I was happy to be able to do this. When Gavin and I came Tuesday afternoon, most of their pastries were gone. We were able to get tirtamisu tarts (very crumbly, good, but a bit too bitter), and the potato/ham croissants, and the broccoli and cheese danish. Phenomenal customer service , yummy cakes and great vibes aptly define this Paris Baguette location in San Jose. Placed an order on a short notice and that too for 3 cakes and the turn around time along with the quality of each of those was just amazing. We ordered Blueberry Chiffon, chocoholic Chiffon and Chocolate Strawberry cake and they were wiped out right after they were cut and being served. The Chiffon cakes had a smooth taste and the right sweetness balance in there which made them a hit. Next to a sprouts but several houseless people around. If you have kids, you'll have to train them so they only touch the pastries with their eyes until after the purchase :). I ordered two cakes for my Mom's birthday and I paid extra for 2 additional chocolate plaque's. My brother in law picked up the cakes and brought them home. And when I reviewed and opened the cakes, the extra chocolate plaque's I ordered were no where to be found. Which was disappointing. I called the store and was sent to voicemail multiple times. I stopped in late afternoon so to get fair the selection was picked over. You come in and they have boxes on the right with liners and tongs so you can go through and add whatever you'd like. Full cakes and some other items are in the glass display cases up at the front and there was also menu boards that you could order. I was going to have dinner with friends and decided to bring dessert. This location is down the street from where I live so it's convenient. I saw they had online ordering which was great, however every time I tried to place the order I kept getting an error message on the website. Instead I tried to call to place an order as I know bakeries have limited supply by the end of the evening. No one answered the phone. I thought I'd take a gamble and see what cakes they had left in the evening. I went in around 6pm and they had about 4 cakes left and I decided to get the chocolate strawberry cake. It was delicious!
