so bad, I was taken by Vincent- he was really rude when it came to my hands being a little stiff, thats a problem for many but I've had people nicely tell me to relax my hands rather than being rude about it. He ignored my apology when I said I was sorry. Anyways I showed him the first design I wanted and he said he couldn't because of the amount of gems (he didn't have enough) alright that's ok so we move on and I showed him another design and he said okay! He will do It. Right as he attached the acrylic tips and we were ready to do the design he said he does not have the color for the design. So now I'm bound and can't really refuse him doing his service on me. So I said let's do a simple black French and let me tell you this is the WORST SET I HAVE EVER GOTTEN. Just came here for the first tome today and the service here was honestly good. Everyone was personable and accommodating. It was a quick gel pedicure than I'm used to but maybe it just flew by. I loved the massage option while getting my UV Gel manicure done and definitely would recommend. Unfortunately the quality of my nails wasn't as expected. The artistry was good and she stayed true to the design I requested so I appreciate that greatly but I wish I payed more attention to what I missed. I had a lot of clean up to do afterwards, I could see through the gel nail polish on areas, things caught in the polish, and there were bubbles. I'd honestly still give this place another chance, I'll just pay closer attention and look at the nails closely for bubbles, gaps, debris, and loose nail from filing. I usually am shy to complain during the process because nail techs have given me push back before. This is the best nail salon I've ever been to. The only time I've ever had an acrylic nail pop off from here, I had waited almost 4 weeks to get my nails filled in because of a surgery. Found these guys on Groupon, and purchased a set of 3 gel manicures with spa pedicure in April. Since the terms of the Groupon indicated services are appointment only I tried to secure appointments with them a handful of times. They were usually booked solid so I just let the Groupon sit. As May was approaching an end, I called another 3 times and finally was able to get an appointment at 4pm on Saturday before Memorial Day. (Same reason we decided to avoid travel when our plans were to go to South Carolina originally) I arrived 20 mins late due to weekend holiday traffic but contacted them ahead of time to let them know I was on the way. Upon arrival I waited an additional 40 mins before being helped. I mentioned I had gel nails so it needed soaking for removal but they seemed unbothered. Zoey eventually asked me to sit down so she can help with removing the gel nails. She used her nail tool to buff the top layer and wrapped my nails in foil. Great tip!! That made soaking off easier. The spa pedicure was great, and came out very nicely. To save on time, they devised a make shift manicure by working simultaneously with my pedicure. Emma struggled with doing my nails at the pedicure station because it is uncomfortable for her. I wasn't thrilled about receiving my manicure on the pedicure station and balancing the ice machine on my lap either but compromised. Hearing them talk about rushing made me uneasy. They live in Flushing, Queens and were eager to leave. I didn't care about the poorly applied polish or the manicure. Nor did I get upset when my finger was cut. Hey...these things can happen when you rush. If they started working on me when I arrived, I believe I wouldn't have been second to last to leave. I left before 6pm. Pretty speedy and careless. So it took them less than an hour to do both my so pedicure and gel nails. Upon redeeming my groupon I was informed it needs to be used before 6/8/19 as that's when it expires. Emma suggested bringing a friend the next time so I can redeem both sets next time. I called ahead and made an appointment letting zoey know I had to use two before 6/8/19 and will be bringing my daughter. I agreed to any time slot they had. When we got there today, we were half an hour early. I observed more walk ins than appointments and thought it was strange. I asked if they take walk ins and was informed they prefer appointments. Ok, I can see how that would be the preferred way to do business. My daughter had her spa pedicure and gel manicure done fairly quickly. While I completed the top coat the attendants were quite pushy on having me pick a design for my nails. I wasn't really feeling it and declined. The manicurist then begins to show me designs and glitter flakes. Then as I was considering, she then tells me to search my phone for pictures. I realize they probably would like me to get a design so I agree. The male technician was helpful in showing me a binder of stickers. I didn't see any that popped out to me so I showed them a daisy design on a yellow background. It came out really nice! I preferred more of a matte finish, and my technician said it's a top polish she can put on easily for an extra $5. She told me my total would be $95 and if I pay in cash it's an additional 10% off. I refrain from the $5 matte polish as I had $20 cash on me reserved for gratuity ($5 for each service...2 spa pedicures and 2 gel manicures). I was also told I cannot use my Groupon. When I explained I made the appointment indicating the Groupon, and again when I walked in and again when I had my spa pedicure she tells me she can let me use one. I politely explain this is not correct. Zoey then states she is aware and her employee adjusted her stance thus allowing use of Groupon. I was not expecting the nail design to be $5/each which then left me with $10 cash to tip the technicians. I had the cash on the table to avoid fumbling for it when I got my nails done (without 10%) and said I'd pay on the card so I can tip them $20. The technician was reluctant to accept credit so proceeded to give me change. This left me with $10 to tip. Overall, they are nice people. They did a nice job and I would have made them a more permanent place to visit for my nails but I think I would pass on them after this visit. Sadly, they are a bit pushy, and disgruntled. I can only suspect using a Groupon impaired my experience. If I paid full price they may have been more attentive, I really don't know. I have received mixed experiences redeeming with Groupon, so I try to call ahead before purchasing as many places will honor Groupon price. In the end it's just not worth it for me to go through this again. read more

Let me begin by saying Vincent is very talented nail art specialist. He has been creating wonderful gel designs for my young daughter. Personally I don't do anything more than a pedicure occasionally. After three or four pedicures I myself got a nail fungus on my toenail. I've never had anything like this in all my life. My daughter for a special occasion received powder tips. After returning and showing him, he explained to me she had an allergic reaction. Use peroxide to prevent it from getting worse. She lost a few nails they fell off, bleeding and painful. They are all damaged with fungus. I referred a friend and her daughter added acrylic nails. Shortly after the same issue happened to her. Her mother went back to show him and he insisted it was because both children touched the same thing and got infections. I called him myself to discuss the issue to be only told it had to be because we all collectively touched the same thing and caused this ourselves. They need to better sterilize their instruments. My daughter mentioned she's even seen skin on the cuticle cutter from someone else. There is no reason why we all received fungus infections because we know each other. They need to take better precautions and be aware of the health issues especially with children. read more

I don't know what happened to this business but it went very down hill. I have been a customer here for over a year and recently the store must have gone into new management or something because they prices went up distinctively. I get dip powder gel everytime and they have stopped doing three coats!!!!!! My nails chipped so easily after the first day and my whole tip fell off a couple days later after doing little activity. Very disappointed with this salon. While they are one of the few salons in our area that is extremely talented when it comes to designs, they are beyond unsanitary. I've gone multiple times and have observed them not sterilize instruments, dip everyone's finger in the same powder container, use the same popsicle stick to apply scrubs to people, etc. It's quite nauseating. What sealed the deal for me is when my daughter got a fungal infection after getting her nails done there for her graduation. When I returned to the salon, I was told my daughter was having an "allergic reaction." She has had her nails done multiple times in the past and has never had any kind of reaction. Not only that, but being that I am a nurse practitioner, I am well aware of what nail fungus look like. After talking with other people that use this salon, I have learned of multiple people with fungal infections after manicure/pedicures they had done at Paris nails. One of which is another child, whose nails have been absolutely destroyed for months from her infection. I was then told by the salon they all must be touching the same thing and that's where their infection came from... doesn't take a genius to figure out that same thing is YOUR instruments. They told me to treat my daughters "allergy" with hydrogen peroxide. Isn't that the treatment for fungus? So they clearly know it's fungus but don't want to admit it. Shame on you Paris nails for jeopardizing the health of your clients. Complaints will be made to the appropriate parties to have this business investigated! read more

Weird technique for powder gel, the lady who did mine kept the powder gel so thin that many cracked within a week or two. She also does NOT know how to o file and shape nails, even after I've asked her to reshape some of them, they still look crooked. This Nail Salon is very good at what they do. I got the full set of acrylic nails and they lasted for a while, however 4 fell off but that was me not knowing how to act with acrylic nails on. The prices are very fair depending on who you get helped by. I got the owners of this salon to fo my nails for the first time and i loved the way she did them. However she cut me twice but it didn't hurt at all. The workers are vert nice and they don't talk if you don't want to talk and they will talk to you if you talk to them. They don't use fingernail clippers and charged me extra just to file my nails. In the end they were beautiful, but overpriced. I also had to ask her to trim my toenails, she was totally happy just throwing some paint on them while they were chipped and crooked. This was my first time trying this place. My appointment was for 12:30 and I was seen at 12:35. Not bad. I had previous tips on from the last time I had gotten my nails done so Zoey suggested I remove them and try to SNS gel powder because my natural nails had grown so much. I thought why not. So she removed my nails and had to had a little tip to one of my natural nails because it had broken. After she was finished she told me the price and The nail removal was $10 and the tip for ONE nail was $3. So an EXTRA $13 that I wasn't aware I would be paying.
