Had not tried this place since before the remodel. Looks great. And the food was terrific. We had an appetizer and then soups -- squash and lemon something. Both excellent. We absolutely love Park Grill and order carry out weekly when we don't feel like cooking. Chicken kebob dinner and Deboned dark meat are fab and the garlic sauce is to die for. Not totally in love with the grilled veggies, but everything else we've had is terrific. Highly recommend. Staff is great, too. read more

My fiancée and I went here for the first time last night, and we will most certainly come back. The food is excellent and the staff is super warm and just the right amount of attentive. Atmosphere is good. My only regret is that we didn't catch the name of our server, otherwise we would've included her in this review. She was excellent. Tonight was my first time trying Park Grill. Excellent food that was fresh, delicious and healthy! I will be back for dine in or carry out!

The food is alright. However, after talking with a friend who works there, i've discovered that quite a few items on the menu, including the grape leaves, are not freshly made...and come out of a can from Sysco. Sysco is a corporate restaurant industry giant that generates mediocre products. Also, the male bartenders there, who I've learned are managers, are never too friendly and come off as snobby & impatient. read more

Great cocktails! ....and that's where everything else falls apart. A wait to be seated is expected on a Friday night but it can be frustrating when you see tables waiting for a check, covered in dirty plates, waiting to leave. Major process breakdown! Who's bussing the table? When is the wait staff making an appearance? Did we get the appetizers yet? Plated food was very good, wraps only average, once the food came. I've tried a little of almost everything here, little flavor considering the spices that would normally go into similar dishes. The hummus has no taste, the menu online is gorgeous my food never looks like that. I have however had a few things here that were great! The Vegetarian Plate and Salmon Burger are fresh and seem to be homemade, the dipping plate is good, tabbouleh salad can be good when it doesn't look a day old. I would stay away from the wraps. I hope they can fix the quality and flavor issues because the location is perfect and this should be a great place to eat I just always leave disappointed. read more

Service was pretty good! Staff was very accommodating and helpful. The food was only ok though. Roasted cauliflower was great, but the veggie rice bowl just had too much going on with some of it hot and some of it cold. Deboned chicken was great but the rice pilaf was lacking. Just having to write this is making me sad. I was really pulling for this place to be successful and good. Love MIddle Eastern food. I would have to say this was my saddest dining experience this year. I was ignored for twenty minutes after I had approached the hostess and got seated outside with a menu and silverware setup. Went back inside, gave them my order, since I was still there, not going away. Was approached once after the order arrived,with the leftover container. Bill comes. Charged for an entire bottle of the wine, not 1 glass. Was going to just pay and leave, but by then I NEEDED to speak with a manager. Not because of the service. I was going to let that slide, and chalk it up to miscommunication. Everyone was pleasant but clueless. But by then, I realized I was also letting them slide on the poor quality of the lamb chops which had more FAT than meat. A $30 meal at lunch, 20% tip, which would have been 25% if things had gone well,and I get that lack of service AND quality. SAD! All the manager did was correct the bill to reflect 1 glass of wine, not an entire bottle and apologize. Couldn't just give me the GLASS of wine ( customer goodwill?l) that was left UNFINISHED for a reason. BJ, if that is your approach to customer service, no wonder your employees don't care if no one ever takes an order or gets it right. I really, REALLY wanted to like this place. I had much better service when I was accompanied by my husband when we stopped in for drinks and appetizers a couple of months ago. I guess this establishment thinks that women don't matter. A painful hour and a half and nearly $40 wasted. Wasn't worth the trouble. Wasn't packed with customers at lunch and I was the only one outside. Left wanting to cry. read more

Unfortunately what my husband and I had hoped wouldn't happen, happened. More expensive for less and the quality has also suffered. The food was always wonderful and the variety of specials was great. I think the renovations are great, having alcohol is great but not at the expense of everything else. I have eaten here a couple times and thought the food was very good. I called last night around 7:15 and was told there was about a 20 minute wait. When the 3 of us arrived at Park Grill we were told it was a 20 minute wait which was fine. There was a group of 5 ahead of us. After waiting 20 minutes a group of 4 walked in and knew one of the waiters and several other employees and they were seated ahead of us. We then told the hostess that we had been waiting long before the other group had even arrived and she told us that we were mistaken that the group had been there before us. Very poor customer service!! We left and went to City Kitchen. Even though Park Grill has good food I will not be going back. read more

This place used to be me and my husbands favorite place. We finally had a chance to try out the food since they reopened. We were both extremely disappointed. The lemon rice soup had no taste, at all. The pita sandwiches which we had been craving since they closed for remodeling were nothing like the old ones. we have eaten here before, but last night was super. the wild salmon special was perfectly grilled and seasoned. the dressing was outstanding so flavorful. I asked for extra veggies instead of potatoes and got a large portion of fresh, grilled veggies besides the asparagus that comes with it. 2 of us had it and felt it was an exceptional value at $16. fattoush was very good and the butternut squash soup was good. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and was surprised at how empty Gross Pointe was and how empty the restaurant was as well. The service was very slow. We were in the venue for over an 1 hour and spent only 20 minutes or so of it eating. We ordered a bunch of schwarma wraps, a lamb burger, hummus, mac and cheese and a salad. I personally ordered the chicken schwarma wrap and nibbled on some fries. The fries were delicious - seasoned well and crispy. The side of fries that came with the burger was pretty large and I'm glad because I was able to have a handful! The wrap was decent but not evenly distributed so the first bite I had was all garlic sauce and then there was little garlic sauce after that. The meat was good, not too dry and I appreciated the pickles cutting the heaviness of the meat and pita. The friend who ordered the hummus didn't particularly like it. It was lumpy and the texture was a bit off. The mac and cheese seemed to be a hit. Overall, it was a good place to come on a Sunday afternoon but there is much better and more authentic Mediterranean food around Detroit and Dearborn that I would rather drive out for. read more

poor quality of food. Veggie tray: green pepper and celery... disgusting and old. I guess they don't know what a veggie tray looks like ( carrots, bell peppers, broccoli...) the actual dinner was grilled salmon and veggie ( not a cheap meal btw for the cheap quality of food) no veggies with the salmon other then some same raw cabbage... that cost nothing, The waitress only came to the table to take our order.... my husband had to go find her to get our bill. Unfortunately, I'm not a big eater of Mediterranean food, which is what this place mostly serves. But they do have some basic dishes and I had their cheeseburger and found it to be delicious. Fries were quite tasty too and they're seasoned. Really the reason I give it 5 stars was because of the server. When I arrived it was right before the dinner crowd and Kyle was my server. He was attentive and friendly. Being as it wasn't that crowded in the beginning, you should expect that. But a friend of mine was showing up later, so I sat there by myself for a while and I observed the place as it got more and more busy. For a long time, Kyle was the only one working the floor, so I was impressed that he kept my drinks coming regularly while the place got very busy. He was able to notice right when I was at my last sip and quickly asked if I'd like another. I believe that to be good service. By the time my buddy did show up, it was pretty much packed in their and Kyle was still able to take his order at the precise right time and throughout the rest of the night he always knew when to stop at our table. This is a great place! It's a mish mash of Mediterranean cuisine, it has some Arabic, Greek, and Balkan influences. It is certainly not a pretentious stop in Grosse Pointe. The food is very well flavored and fresh. The prices are extremely affordable, and carry out service is quick and easy. They usually have 4 or 5 soups that are made fresh daily. This place is a hidden gem as far as I am concerned. read more

We waited a while to be greeted by our server, he seemed like he was very overwhelmed and had too many tables. I had the chicken kabob, it was not too bad, but kind of dry. My husband had a steak entree; the steak was very tender but way too overseasoned. I'm not sure what the spice was, but was overpowering. I don't think we will be returning here. read more

Second time we sat down for dinner and were completely ignored. Hostess offered us two tables and we sat at the wrong one, apparently. We didn't get menus or any other recognition. The other table was then occupied, they got menus and then had their drink order taken. All the while we were trying to flag anyone for service, to no avail. My wife went up and took some menus and we dreamed of we would eat. That was as close as we got. By the way, you can go to almost any place in or near Dearborn and get as good and better food for much less. read more

Very disappointed. I have dines here with me family a handful of times, and ordered take out for the third time today. Done. Finito. I called the order in, and it was not ready when I arrived 40 minutes later; this happened that last time I called takeout. (And it seems like a common theme in other reviews). The server was simply not at all phased by my comments about the tardiness.. I am bummed over this because I wanted to be in love with this place. The food wasn't good today, I had to re-season it for myself. The grilled chicken, which I believe was part of the cause for delay, was not cooked well... gross, bad. I have to chime in after seeing quite a few non favorable reviews regarding the service at Park Grill. My party of three went recently and ordered 2 appetizers and one wrap sandwich. It took 55 minutes for us to get our food. Yes, I did time it. Ridiculous considering the appetizers were things that you knew were already prepared ( humus and pickles ). When we questioned our waiter about the long wait he claimed it was because the ticket box that they put orders through to the kitchen blew a fuse. Ah, ok. Then how come all the other tables around us, who came in later than we did got their food way before we did?!? The food was good, but the service was terrible. We never even got plates to eat our appetizers off of. Tried to flag down the waiter but he seemed more focused on serving the larger tables. Will have to seriously think before going there again. Park Grill needs to remember that good customer service is a must. read more

After the long (over a year) renovation the restaurant reopened recently. I had eaten there before when it was just a small downscale Mediterranean "dive". They recently added a full bar and nicely redid the interior so it appears to be the new trendy casual upscale I've seen most new restaurants go for. We ordered our drinks from a regular wine and beer list and got the garlic dip appetizer to start. I came with 6 pieces of bread and enough garlic to kill the entire cast of Twilight. No joke it burned our lips and mouth. And we LOVE garlic but this honestly was the most over-garliced food item we had ever tried. We downed our drinks and water and hoped the rest to follow would improve. Unfortunately that didnt happen. The white bean soup we were served was luke warm at best (ummm how long has this been sitting in the danger zone), and the chicken I asked to be HOT was served barely above room temp. The veggie platter was uninspiring and just seemed overall bland and mushy (maybe our taste buds were fried from the garlic). Overall the food is the same as it was over a year ago but now they have a bar inside. The only feature is that there really isnt anything else down in the park at that end except a few other dreary dives. read more

This place has a cool atmosphere and a nice beer/wine/cocktail selection. However, the food was underwhelming. The lentil soup tasted like it was from a can. The garlic paste was flavorless and tasted like it was from a tub. And the pita bread was the worst, as it was the flat, dry variety from the store, cut into triangles and served at room temperature. The fattoush dressing was flavorless as well. The shawarma meats were ok and had a bit of the Mediterranean flavors that I was looking for, but the meat was rubbery and overcooked. Overall, I was unimpressed. Living in Macomb County where Mediterranean restaurants are a dime a dozen, some of which bake fresh pita in house, this did not satisfy my craving. It may be the only place in the Pointes to find this cuisine, I am unsure. If so, I recommend locals to venture out to Macomb County and get some fresh and traditional Mediterranean food. read more
