Upon entering this fine establishment we were quickly greeted by Mark, our waiter who right away sat us down and started showing us the menu. We didn't really know what to get so we opted for a sweet dessert, Mark readily offered a home made style chocolate cake which he highly recommended. So we decided to go with his recommendation. I got to tell you I don't have a sweet tooth but this cake I swear changed my whole output on sweets. Been there before and it was great, but not last night. To start off we had to return 2 dirty appetizer plates, Cesar salad was brown and croutons soggy. My wife's steak was one side well done and the other medium rare which is what she wanted. Her potatoes were cold. She asked the server for another glass of wine as she picked up the salad plates and the response was "give me a minute", not rude but not what is expected. I ordered the scallops and they were really good but they skimped out on the rice. They also skimped out in the calamari. This place feels so fancy and hip! Yet okay to bring a kid because the booths are so high :) I had the crab cakes, lobster roll with fries, and churro sundae. Crab cakes had plenty of crab meat and not filler, although I didn't love all the green chilis in it (but that seems like a local thing). Loved how the lobster roll had big chunks of lobster, the appropriate roll, and not too mayo-y. The side of fries were a little skimpy though. Sundae was perfect. My sister and I were walking around and this was the only food place that was open right after thanksgiving. It looks pretty fancy schmancy but they serve American food sandwiches and salad and a few entrees. They also have a bar..The music is kind of all over the place but the food was great. I had the veggie sandwich and I don't remember what my sister had but it had some type of aioli that was pretty spicy and gave the sandwich a good kick. The fries are thick with just the right amount of salt sprinkled on them. I thoroughly enjoyed the food here and will definitely be coming back. read more

This is a great mid level dining spot downtown- the ambiance is incredible and the food was perfect. We started with an appetizer- the duck toatones and I was honestly made I didn't get it at my meal (+ salad and side) it was mouth watering. My husband ordered the elk tenderloin and the plate was licked lean in 10 min tops- he said there's a smell spicy kick to the green beans he loved. I had the Lobster Roll and it was delightful- I'm weary about ordering sea food in the desert, but this was just perfect. We will be back. read more

We ate at PT last night with another couple. I was very disappointed that the cooks and our waiter were not wearing masks. I also told the waiter that I had a soy allergy. After returning home, I became very ill so I know that my allergy was not recognized either by the waiter or the chef. Also, my brussels sprouts were not cooked and were very tough and our mashed potatoes were cold. I work downtown and I will not be returning to this restaurant that obviously does not care about the safety of its customers -- both for their allergies and for COVID precautions. read more

The service was fine, my espresso martini was maybe the best one I've ever had but the food was subpar. We got calamari (which was soggy and smelly) the Brussel sprouts and artichoke dip were average. The ambiance normally saves the place for me but for a fine dining experience this just was not it. So disappointed as a solo diner that the only way I would be allowed to eat here is if i sat at a high top or the bar. I really really dislike high seating. It's a shame, because there were a lot of open tables since I came early, which was on purpose so i wouldnt use a table during prime time. I know having a single diner can be annoying because the bill is lower, but I always order a bar drink, app, steak, and usually coffee and dessert then tip 20% to make up for it. I have travelled extensively in the US and always look for nice dining in whatever city I'm in. This is the first time I have encountered this restriction. One of my favorite restaurants in El Paso for sure. The ambiance is sophisticated but cute. I had great service and the waiter was able to recommend a red wine to go with the ribeye I ordered and it was fantastic. The ribeye was delicious and perfectly cooked, and covered in a fabulous rosemary butter that melted as you spread it. The green beans were also noteworthy and super tasty Will definitely be going back again to try more on the menu and some of their signature cocktails! read more

Service was great, the Ribeye was no lie one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. I'm a self proclaimed steak snob and I was impressed. Beautiful interior. Their patio looks extremely inviting also. It was early afternoon, they weren't busy at all. I was greeted and seated right away. I started with a cucumber and tomato salad. The perfect anount of seasonings to go along with the vinegar dressing. The sliced red onions that accompanied were a pleasant surprise. My main entree was a seared tuna sandwich. Pleasantly surprised with this find on one of my layovers. Was just walking around town and stumbled on this place. Looked cute from the outside so we walked in to get a table. The inside is clean and cool with a good atmosphere and the food was fresh and delicious. I got the ahi tuna sandwich for lunch with French fries. The fries were awesome perfect amount of salt and the sandwich had great flavor. Something that really stood out to me was the amount of sides you can replace instead of fries like asparagus, salad, potatoes, Mac and cheese, etc. Really awesome but I'm very glad i got the fries regardless. Wow, one of El Paso's newest and hippest restaurants and we loved it. I had checked out the menu in advance online and thought it very eclectic and enticing . Each of us tried different entrees, the elk tenderloin was amazing, the burger divine and the rack of lamb scrumptious. We loved the fried oysters as an appetizer and they tasted so much like my Mom's..... we had excellent service from David, very attentive and professional. From the creators of the Kitchen at 150 Sunset comes a refreshing take on the premium downtown eating experience. This place has turned into one of my favorite places in El Paso and it starts with the experience of walking in. Park Tavern is located in Union Plaza in an old manufacturing building that still has some old advertisements on the outside. I think their decision to leave a part of El Paso history on the side of their building gave the whole place a very distinct look. As you enter, you are greeting by a large open spaces room, bar area on one side and dining on the other. Seating consist of both tables and booths, and although I haven't been seated at the booths yet, they look super comfortable and premium. The ambiance is more casual and not stuffy, and the vibe is very comfortable. The appetizer I would recommend is the shishito peppers, they are roasted and come with a soy and lemon based dipping sauce that is spectacularly divine. I loved it so much that I immediately went to the grocery to try and find those shishito peppers so I could try and replicate it. Last time I went, I ordered the ribeye, which was perfectly cooked and not dry at all. I would put it on par with Arduvino's and Stonewood's ribeyes, which are my favorite steaks in town. Other entrees that I want to try are the elk tenderloin and wild boar back ribs, which are pretty unique dishes for El Paso. The desserts are pretty standard desserts, but one standout is the churro ice cream dessert. Park Tavern, like the Kitchen at 150 Sunset, keeps things simple but adds just that little pinch of uniqueness that sets it apart. I'm not sure what it is about this place, but the experience is excellent and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to eat. read more

Came here for an early dinner just before they had their official opening. The location is pretty great, and parking was easy to find on a street nearby. I walked in and liked the modern open, airy space, with a few photos of old El Paso on the walls. There were only a couple tables taken and a handful of people at the bar. I asked if I could take one of the booths, but was shot down and was seated along the wall. (I guess they were preparing for a dinner rush, or something, and I was alone...but the rush never happened and almost all the booths remained open until I left.) My server was friendly and quick. I tried the lemon soup, which was light and very good, as well as the lobster roll. The roll was fresh, and I liked that there was too much for the bread, and I needed a fork to finish what fell out! I am so happy to see that our Downtown El Paso is transforming little by little...Park Tavern is another great place to hangout with friends, pregame before any show or Chihuahua Games... i think this place can be either a formal setting or a casual setting as well... i believe the layout and the place itself makes you feel that way... We visited on a Thursday night, I can say that the place was 1/2 full... so start off... The Service...i personally think that the service is one of the great highlights of this place, we felt welcome and our server was super attentive throughout the whole dinner. Sometimes its hard to be attentive without becoming annoying... our server hit the spot just right... My wife had the Chicken with broccoli and I had the Salmon. Both plates were great. The Chicken was a little bit spicy and the Salmon was excellent. All in all, we will go again, however, I will try something different. Had an opportunity to enjoy leisurely lunch some time ago and was blown away with the the food, ambience and service. I did not expect the interior to be as accommodating as it was but I could easily spend a few hours sipping wine and enjoying the company of loved ones. To start with I ordered a Malbec to accompany my chicken piccata. The wine and cocktail list was long and sure to appeal to any taste. Our entree came with their signature salad and was quite delicious. I main dish was superb, the chicken was tender and flavorful. Nothing was left by the end. Definitely one of the better places in El Paso. There is a classy vibe when you walk in. The tables aren't too close together which gives privacy to any conversation. The bar is medium sized but also located away from tables to separate the casual meeting from a romantic dining experience. There is a plethora of drinks to choose from with a decent happy hour. I ordered the Grilled Salmon which was absolutely wonderful. It came with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. My first experience was A+ I had the asadero burger and it was deeelish. The cake was also very tasty which was served for my friend's birthday. First experience was 5 Star. The second time I ventured off and tried a fried chicken sandwich and I was disappointed it was burned a bit so it was dry. I went back today because a friend chose it for her special occasion. I ordered the salmon falafel and it was pretty nasty. I didn't realize it was going to be fried like a hush puppy so it was very greasy. The falafel was crispy not soft. Two bad experiences out of three so I will not be returning. I didn't complain. It took a while to get our food so I didn't want to make everyone run late on my account. read more
