We were taken aback at the lunch price s but none-the-less, we ordered as we were already seated. The waiter appeared to be perturbed and was unfriendly and inattentive(which raised our hesitation to order). We ordered an artichoke dip and we were very pleasantly surprised as it was excellent. The food arrived and everyone in the group was highly pleased with the food presentation, quantity of food and above all great tasting dishes. The husband and I came here for an anniversary dinner with a gift card I received for Christmas. Our server, Mark gave us some of the best service we have ever received, he was nice, attentive and really knew his menu and the food. We ordered 2 things that he recommended. We started with the meat & cheese plate. It included 3 meats and a few cheeses with a tomatillo jam and fruits. For our entree we ordered elk tenderloin (husband and server recommended) and beef tenderloin. The beef tenderloin was a little rare for me, but it was delicious nonetheless. My husband tried elk for the first time here, he enjoyed the taste. He's a pretty picky eater but enjoyed the chimichurri sauce and the sauce on the green beans. We finished the meal off with the cheesecake. All of the food was great, but the real stand outs were the tomatillo jam on the meat and cheese plate and the cheesecake. The cheesecake is by far THE BEST cheesecake I have ever had. Soft, creamy and not too bitter and a cinnamony crust. The atmosphere has a modern industrial look. Limited entree options for lunch, but it was still an awesome experience. I have the chimmichurri skirt steak and my drink was a Cortez cocktail. Both great choices. The steak was cooked great, the chimmichurri sauce was very flavorful - very lemony and tangy which went well with the steak, and stringy French fries. Located in the heart of downtown, Park Tavern is a beautiful hip place to dine. Their menu is a bit limited with high end prices but it's good! My husband and I both ordered the chicken sandwich. I asked for the sauce on the side, which I'm grateful for because it was very spicy! The Mac and cheese was as good as expected, nothing too special. The atmosphere was nice. Honestly, this place just gets better and better. My husband and I have been here many times and are never disappointed. The last time we came we had the muscles and artichoke to start. Both were delicious. Muscles, especially in El Paso, are very hit or miss. Here, the accompanying chorizo was perfect and I will be ordering them more in the future. The artichokes were great and the accompanying sauce was out of this world. For dinner, I had the tenderloin Oscar style and it was fantastic. The meat was perfectly cooked and the potatoes and asparagus were a great compliment. My husband had the burger. In my opinion, Park Tavern has the best burger in El Paso. Park Tavern is a great restaurant for dates and special occasions. If you are looking for new americana type of food with a side of sophistication you have come to the right place! The restaurant is very modern with dim lighting. I love the photography used in the restaurant showing the history of El Paso. I ordered the rack of lamb and shoshito peppers and thouroughly loved each and every bite. It was full of flavor and definitely worth the price. The service was great as well. He really knows his job. So that already started the first time experience good. I ordered the Chicken piccata and my Fiancé the half roasted chicken. Yes her plate was more manly, don't judge me... We got the soup and salad. Salad was good the vinegaret was tasty, she got the green chili chicken posole and holy f*** was it good. Right amount of tolerable heat, amazing green chili flavor, chicken was tender and flavorful. If they had that as a meal I would get it and pay $15-$20 for it. Was that good. My Chicken picatta, which I have never tried, was amazing. Angel hair pasta with a creamy buttery sauce with a hint of lemon and cappers, the chicken was cooked just right, highly recommend. My Fiancé's roasted chicken, that yes I tried again don't judge me for eating from her plate, was delicious. I'm not sure if it was brined but the meat had great flavor. Usually the skin has all the flavor and the meat is bland but this was all the way through. All in all it was a great first experience and will be going back very soon. I've been meaning to write a review for Park Tavern for some time. I went several months ago with a close friend who highly recommend it. We went in on a Friday night. Business seemed brisk but the place was by no means packed. We got seated right away. I noticed immediately how posh and classy the restaurant is. There's a wide variety of seating options from booths, small high tops, bar seating, patio, etc. The second thing I noticed was the lovely guitarist playing near entrance. It wasn't too loud but added a nice ambience to the restaurant. I ordered a dirty gin martini and it was prepared and tasty. My friend got a glass of red wine. She informed the waiter it tasted stale and he promptly brought out a new, different wine which she liked much better. A review of the menu quickly reveals a smaller menu albeit with some classic fare and some unique additions. The entrees are all pretty expensive but the sandwich options are very reasonable. For an app I ordered the fried oysters which I devoured upon arrival. Very thick with crispy breading. For my entree, I ordered the lobster roll which which arrived quickly and was delicious. The bread was fresh with a nice crispness to it. The lobster spread very flavorful. The side of Mac was ok but nothing special. My friend got a beautiful cut of salmon with Brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. She let me have some bites of hers and everything was cooked perfectly. First of all, I love downtown El Paso. I've been here a handful of times now and outside of the heat factor, it's great. So this place here, I've eaten here a few times over the course of my visits and I love it here. The vibe of the atmosphere is inviting and the layout of the place is nice too. I've had nothing but good service from the staff and the food is awesome. No matter what kind of food you're into, you'll be able to find something on the menu to grub on. This place is AMAZING! My husband, son, and I went to The Park Tavern on a Saturday night. I choose it due to the location being downtown and I really like the vibe downtown and walking around the area. My son told me it is usually busy so we made a reservation online. It was quick and very convenient . We arrived and were sat within minutes and the place was full. The atmosphere was nice, comfortable,and relaxed with good music playing in the background. We had a great waitress that was on top of everything, kind, friendly, very efficient and always had a smile. We started out with the spinach artichoke dip which was super creamy, the cheese was perfectly toasted and the chips were unusually good for being just a toastada chip. Very happy with the appetizer choice. I ordered the Grilled chicken breast with a spicy tomatillo and serrano pepper salsa with pine nut rice and mushrooms. The salsa on the chicken was very flavorful and I was most definitely pleased with this entree. My husband ordered the prime rib with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. He's super picky regarding his steaks and he had zero complaints and said he really enjoyed it and the asparagus. My son ordered the Elk Tenderloin Grilled, sliced, topped with chimichurri, with marble potatoes and asparagus and a side of Mac and cheese. He was so excited about his entree as he thoroughly enjoys wild game. He was very pleased with his entire meal and I did try a bite of his Elk and it was moist and literally melted in my mouth. It was very tender and had no gamey taste. (I'm not really a meat eater especially not wild game) . I was very pleasantly surprised. The Mac and cheese was too notch super cheesy and full of flavor. We were all very happy with the entire dining experience and thoroughly enjoyed the food. We most definitely will be coming back. Incredible experience here tonight! I sat outside with three coworkers and it was perfectly. It was slightly chilly outside so when the host sat us she turned in the outdoor heaters. The service all around was excellent. I ordered the Veal and the rest of my table got the lamb and linguine. The portions were very generous. We also split the duck appetizer which was fantastic! I would absolutely come here again. Next time I will save room to try the churro sundae. I might have even ordered it tonight if my waiter would have asked us about it. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into Park Tavern. I must say that pictures do not do this place any justice. The interior is top notch and you can tell they spared no expense. The atmosphere is fun yet highly sophisticated. The staff is prompt and friendly, we were seated quickly. Unfortunately our table was right by the kitchen and it was a little warm, but our server was quick to bring us waters. I did also notice the lighting was a bit bright and certain lights could have been dimmed a little in order to create a more intimate setting. Also the the kitchen had clear windows on top and the bright kitchen lights were shining through them like the afternoon sun in your eyes. I started with The Union drink and I must say I was a little disappointed on how it was presented to me. Granted my server did not bring it to me, but it bothered me a little that he did not place a napkin underneath my drink. Another thing I noticed is that it had not been garnished properly, presentation is important, it was also a bit too sweet. As appetizers we had the crab cakes and the steamed clams. The crab cakes couldn't of been more perfect, the crispness, a little spice, and loads of crab. They were truly delicious. The clams were delicious as well and the lemon butter they came in was quite nice. My only complaint is they tasted a little too fishy which turned me off a bit. But I understand we are in the middle of the dessert so it's fairly difficult to get fresh seafood. For our main course I had the Scallops and my husband had the Elk Tenderloin. I have to say the scallops were amazing. The Jalapeño Lemon Butter Sauce was perfection and the scallops were cooked just right. The rice pilaf had pine nuts in it and it was also cooked and seasoned quite well. The asparagus were just asparagus but they were also very good. The Elk Tenderloin was okay, while it wasn't gamey it was slightly bland. This meat is so lean, I think charring it a little on the outside would give it a nice flavor. I must say the green beans it was plated with were to die for. I highly recommend this place, especially for a date or a night out with friends. Just don't sit near the kitchen it's too bright and too hot. I can't wait to come back and try some more things of their menu. read more

Since I was alone I sat at the bar. I was immediately greeted by the bartender, Kayla, and she cheerfully told me it was happy hour and showed me the specials.
