But then, when it came to do the final installation before my family is moving in (finishing installing the toilets, sinks, shower heads, etc), they inform me that wasn't part of the initial quote and they are going to charge me thousands more and if I didn't go with them, they would revoke their warranty (since other reputable companies were willing to do the same job for much less). That would be like my flooring guys putting 75% of my floors in and saying to get the other 25%, I need to pay more. Seriously, this is what I call a shakedown and will never ever do business with this "company" again.

It is now December 2025, and despite repeated calls and constant reassurances that the refund is "being processed," nothing has been returned to us. At this point, their lack of communication, failure to honor the agreement, and ongoing delays have left us no choice but to involve legal counsel to recover the money we are owed. While their "contract" states 30% nonrefundable, I cannot accept that their failure to perform, bad faith, unjust enrichment, and potential breach of contract would be an excuse to have them keep the money that's rightfully ours. There were a few bumps in the road, mostly from my side of things (insurance, dry rot, the holidays) He was out to my house several times as we navigated the situation. I saw another review that stated they couldn't use the fixture they wanted. Zach was VERY specific on which valve he preferred and why. You have to get specific trim kits to fit specific valves. Take notes and ask questions. I would definitely use Zach and Mad Piper plumbing in the future. I did comment to Zach on communication. That being said, call and your responses will be much quicker than the text option or email.
