As Hilton Members, we used our daily food credit benefit to have breakfast at Parkview before heading out to Mopar Rally. Only a handful of tables were occupied when we arrived. We chose a table inside. Menus were brought out and drink orders taken right away. My husband chose the Biscuits & Gravy. I had the French Toast. When our food came out, a plate of potatoes arrived with my husband's order. He assumed it was part of his entree. He had already grabbed and ate a couple pieces when the server came to take the plate. She said "Oh, this was brough to you by mistake." Before we could mention that it had already been touched, she had left and taken the potatoes to another table on the other side of the room. That was weird. If you aren't sitting at the bar, there is a good chance that you will be handed a menu and then not approached again for nearly an hour. That would be fine if I was instructed to order at the bar, but I was not. Other tables in groups were served at their seats quickly. However, after taking a closer look, I saw that the available tables were still not wiped clean and the servers seemed very overwhelmed. There was no formal or personable greeting, only a demand for what we were drinking. When we asked about the menu, we were read the menu, there wasn't much of any spiel or touch of fine dining service. Worst off was the wine service. The busy server, David, clearly was not taught proper etiquette of how to present a wine ordered. The bottle was opened without me seeing the label, poured into my glass first, and then to our surprise, the server walked away with oir bottle, leaving the ice bucket behind. This place is inside the Jupiter Hotel and we ate breakfast there three days we stayed recently. All our meals were excellent! I especially loved the heirloom tomato toast. Their sourdough bread was really thick and fresh. The breakfast potatoes were also quite delicious. I have loved all the food I've gotten, especially those brussel sprouts! They also have a great drink menu. I've had fish, steak, and a few other appetizers and they've all been good. I last stayed at Juniper in 2022 and back here again in July 2024. Came here to town with my partner for a conference. I went Monday night to the bar and the service was great. Dawn was awesome, very friendly and he has a great personality. Service was prompt and efficient. He gave us a lot of info about the area and was sad to hear that sprouts across the street is out of business. There is now a happy hour until 7 pm on Monday and Wednesday. I came here on a Friday breakfast with a group of 3 and it wasn't busy at all so we were seated immediately! One thing that I'll point out is that the service here is pretty slow and the portion sizes are quite small. The saving grace is that the ambiance is super fancy being in a hotel -the place is really pretty and I liked just coming to chill and catchup on life. FOOD: I got the Avocado toast - the size was small so it didn't feel super fulfilling but the dish was super refreshing and I enjoyed the light cheese but also the tomato sauce on the chilly avocado. I also tried the breakfast sandwich - it wasn't super special but the taste was what I expected - the omelette here was also just a normal omelette and tasted blander than other places. Three stars is accurate. I only came for breakfast and found it to be average. As a diamond member staying at the hotel, we have credits we can use towards food, so I chose the continental breakfast every day. The food presentation is great and the customer service is good (not great). Although, everyone is quite friendly. I just found it to be a little slow at times. Along with the continental breakfast, you get tea, coffee, or juice. I chose green tea, which is actually loose leaf! However, they do not properly steep the tea and you can definitely tell when you taste it, if you are an avid loose leaf tea drinker. I did not try any other meals but do appreciate the 20% off when you check in. read more

Sad, because I really wanted to eat there. 2 different times and each time no service. The servers did look at me but didn't actually speak to me. Make sure to request extra dressing as it's dressed quite lightly and the raw garlic over powered the fries.... Not quite what I expected but the salad was good once I got the extra dressing and the fries well... I wasn't feeling well so I won't blame the raw garlic... no, no... I will blame the raw garlic.... We were pleasantly surprised to find them on an upswing this visit. Lots of decent options at $5-6: * Shrimp Ceviche was very good, fresh and flavorful. Would have liked just a touch more heat on the jalapenos though. * Chicken Bites was great for sharing. Nicely seasoned, crisp and not too greasy with a bbq dipping sauce. * Guac and Chips were very fresh, but the guac needed more bam...like more jalapeno heat, and a bit more lime. Easily remedied with a squeeze of lime from my cocktail, and some green Tabasco. * Acorn Squash Hummus Crudite -- hummus tasted awesome, but Crudite = "assorted raw vegetables" and they were clearly MIA. We should have been warned. That's a big disappointment. * Tacos Al Pastor -- Flavors were good, but the pork could have been more tender and juicy. * Steamed Mussels are just ok. Nothing to rave about. Good HH Well Drink Cocktails, but HH wines are seriously unimpressive (mostly under 3.5 on Vivino). Service is always friendly. read more

Parkview Kitchen & Spirits is a restaurant and bar located inside the Juniper Hotel in Cupertino, CA. Back when the hotel was called The Cypress - the restaurant was named Park Place - as I recall. Stayed at the Juniper again last week - flew into SFO and drove down. I was planning to arrive in time for the start of the Clemson vs. Alabama National Championship game and watch it in the bar - got there a bit late due to a delayed flight - but they had the game on! The bar was packed with folks watching the game! I ordered the Brussel Sprouts with Bacon and the spicy Calamari, and a pint of the Back in Black Black IPA (6.8% ABV) (21st Amendment Brewery, San Francisco, CA). I asked for, and received - a chilled pint glass for my beer! The Brussel sprouts were tasty - but I do wish they were a little crispier. They were served with what tasted like a Maple Syrup glaze and crispy, tasty bacon bits. Very good! The Calamari included slices of fried jalapeño, and a spicy Aioli like dipping sauce. Absolutely scrumptious! After dinner, I ordered a dirty vodka martini - made with Grey Goose, and very dry - as in wave the bottle of vermouth in the general vicinity of the martini. I asked if they had Blue Cheese stuffed olives - the answer was "no." But then the bartender (his name was Phil - nice young guy) told me he could hand stuff me some Blue Cheese olives if I did not mind waiting for a few minutes. So of course I accepted! Drink was tasty! Later in the evening I had an order of their fries - which are topped with a tender, succulent rib meat and melted cheese, plus a pint of the Racer 5 IPA (7.5% ABV) (Bear Republic Brewing Co., Cloverdale, CA). They deserve a little more than 3.5 stars on Yelp. Went here for on a Sunday night for dinner, it's a restaurant inside the hotel called Juniper Hotel Cupertino. They have a parking garage with ample parking, we even parked on the first floor with no issue, free unless you do valet. We walked through the hotel lobby to reach the restaurant, hotel was nice and clean. The restaurant has a one page menu, very limited choices but anyway I spotted what I want in a second. Ordered the ribeye, it was a full 16oz with two sizes, potatoes and asparagus. Price on the menu was $46, not cheap but enough to fill my stomach for sure. Food came out in about 30 minutes, took a little longer but that's ok we were not in a hurry. The first bite of the ribeye knocked my socks off! It was full of savory flavor of beef, with a little crunchiness on the rim of the steak, the inside was juicy, perfectly cooked to medium rare which was what I asked for. Although variety of food was limited, the drink list was quiet satisfying. Two pages of wine and cocktails, we had the house red which was a cab, $8, it was much better than I thought! Service was mediocre as our servers were not very attentive and it took long for the food and check. Besides that everything else was great! Definitely going back, they have a happy hour menu too, maybe I wil try that next time. read more

I feel like we got the super star treatment at this place. I did not get my hopes up because I noted that the menu had been reduced (probably because of covid and having to reduce waste/cost). My husband and I arrived with our 3 kids and a few other family members joined us shortly after. Our server was friendly. My daughter ordered the burger and she said "best burger ever." The truffle fries were amazing, flavorful. My husband had the short rib gnocchi. It was very rich and also full of flavor. I had the chicken dish. It had a light flavor and very juicy and moist. We had our wedding after party here and is was super reasonable! The drink menu was to die for and the service was exceptional. We were able to rent the entire bar area and the patio area for our after party, which was from 11:30pm - 2pm. Juniper Hotel also allowed us to have a food truck park out front for guests to enjoy some drunchies, which was super amazing since other places would have made us purchase food from them. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend to others for their wedding after party needs. We stayed at the Juniper as we have done multiple times. A few years ago, we tried to get breakfast there and a bowl of oatmeal was $18. We tried again this visit, hoping it had improved. We never got to eat because we weren't even acknowledged after waiting awhile. We got up to leave and the sever still didn't acknowledge us or even care that we were leaving.
