Have to ask the staff to pay attention to you even though at times I have three of the bartenders in front of me. Oh asked for a side salad to start which apparently they completely forgot about even though they told me about champagne vinaigrette. I live close by and this is my go to spot for a quick, well proportioned and organic meal. The food is top notch, the staff is friendly and attentive (major shout out to Enrique and Tony, both are awesome!) and the ambience is nice and chill for an upscale hotel bar and lounge. I love the brunch menu and often go for the continental with a side of bacon. The breakfast burrito is awesome as well. My partner is a fan of the ceviche and they'll often serve it even if it's not on the menu at the moment - we come for breakfast sometimes and for some odd reason the man wants fish at 10am... anyways, definitely recommend this place if you're ever in the area. read more

Breakfast menu is the best around town... it's a shame that they're always understaffed and inconsistent on the preparation of their food. We are local so we walk here and work in the area, making Park Place a go-to destination for us. Michael (our server) has been wonderful over the past year and we keep coming back because at least we know he's consistent. He's earned the extra star on this rating. The kitchen turnover and inconsistency of their food is obvious to even the average traveler that stays in the hotel. I fear bringing colleagues for dinner or even happy hour... the hope is that they will realize how important their presence is in our city beyond just the "hotel's restaurant". Even on weekends, bring an extra 2 servers for the outside service please! Summer is here and people enjoy being outside in your new lovely furniture. Expand the menu with healthier finger food options for Happy hour .. extend the happy to 7 or 8 and see the crowds just grow! We decided to be brave and go out on a limb to try Parkview for breakfast with only 4 reviews... Sometimes risks pay off and sometimes they don't. Let me start by saying this is a hotel restaurant/cafe. I say that because there is no way it would survive on it's own based on my experience. The good: The style of the restaurant is modern-ish and the chairs were comfortable. They have nice outside seating if the weather is accommodating. They also have a parking garage next door to park at for free. The food itself wasn't terrible-- approximately Denny's quality. The bad: Where to begin. Firstly we couldn't even get in because the doors were locked. So once they opened them for us, they let it lock behind them, thereby locking out another one of their employees instead of fixing it. Then they had us stand next to our empty table to 'wait a minute' for the waitress to seat us...an awkward minute late I asked if we could sit down. The 'helper' (semi waiter, semi busboy) took our drink orders and I assume thought he was being funny when he responded 'umm...why?' When our out of town guest said he didn't want coffee. There were four of us and the waitress managed to get 2 of our orders wrong (which were straight off the 15 item menu). They never offered refills on coffee which we finished before we even got our food. Finally, the prices are outrages. 4 dollars for a cup of coffee without refills? Really? 8 dollars for some yogurt and granola? Overall: I wish I was exaggerating our experience, but it was comically terrible. I don't get how anyone could give this place a good review (bribed perhaps?). I don't enjoy putting down a business, but I also don't enjoy being served overpriced food and terrible service on top of it. Needless to say I won't be back and I would recommend trying something else in the area for breakfast. read more

Came here for breakfast, menu said fresh squeezed OJ but it tasted like week old Tropicana from Concentrate. Server brought breakfast then went on break so had to get up and serve myself water. When I came with my group of friends the place was completely empty except for 2 reserved tables. When I asked to put 2 tables together the manager running the place said he was unable to do that even though there was no one there and no future reservations. The lady who helped us seemed extremely on edge and was not looking for a solution but only pointing out problem. Too bad they missed out on a 600$ order. The new menu is super sparse. The flatbreads used to be pretty yummy, but the one I got tasted like a kids cheese pizza (which is fine and dandy, but I wanted something with flavors). I have been coming here for over 2 years for business lunch since it is right down the street from my office. It has always had amazing service, food, and selection. Since it has gone under new ownership many of the great servers have left, the food quality has dropped, and the worst part is that the menu selection has been reduced considerably dropping some of the best menu items. It is hard to go here for lunch when they have dropped some of the basic salads that many of my colleagues enjoyed such as the Cobb salad, Tuna salad, BBQ chicken salad. Now they are trying salads that you would expect at a foodie restaurant and Park Place, I mean Park View, is not that type of restaurant. On top of that the quality isn't on the level of a high restaurant so why try and provide that type of menu selection. I had the halibut special the other day and it was very dry and overcooked with no true sauce so it was very bland in taste. I have had many complaints from my vendors that I normally take here about the reduction of menu items. So I may have to find another convenient lunch meeting place. The flatbreads, house burger, flat iron steak, and sweet potato fries are still on the menu and are excellent, but the loss of the focaccia bread, salads, the wonderful park and fly special, soup of the day, limited variety in their special lemonade flavors, and the thank you for dining here take away of caramel bacon popcorn is very disappointing. I hate to write this review because the restaurant and staff before new ownership have been wonderful to me and my guests. I loved eating here 1-2 times a week for meetings, but the last three times I have been here have been very disappointing and it is now impacting the quality of my meetings. This is a restaurant inside the Juniper Hotel in Cupertino. We have been here three times and each time it has exceeded our expectations. I had the Spicy Calamari and the Hummus Trio Plate and both were excellent. The service is good and the wine prices are fair. And, the wine pours are generous. Great food and amazing service. The staff is energetic and always willing to help. The Salmon and Elote is my favorite combination. Great flavor! The NY Strip goes great with the mushrooms as well. Came here for a business dinner meeting. Service was terrible. Never got coffee and had to flag someone down just to get water or wine, which was distracting during the talk. Mahi mahi was smelly and covered in a salty but otherwise flavorless sauce. Cheesecake was the best part though I was never offered coffee since the service was so bad. I'm honestly not sure about this place. The service is 3/5. The food? Where do I even start. How do you run out of calamari and chocolate cake on a Friday night? As a business owner, you should understand what the busiest nights of the week are and ensure you DONT run out of the most popular items on the menu. The burger was tasty and the truffle fries were decent. However, the salmon and the wings we ordered came out cold, the butter to the bread was cold as ice, the cider was extremely flat and tasted watered down, and the chicken was underwhelming. Looks and feels like a hotel restaurant. My steak was undercooked so I (politely, I think) asked for it to be cooked a bit longer. They obliged but returned it on the same bed of steak fries that were now cold and soggy. This is just restaurant 101. I know from experience working at 5 different restaurants over the years that about half of all food sent back is from idiots who simply don't know how food should be cooked or just like to complain. That said...you always should play it safe and act as if the mistake is yours...and make an effort. If it really was your error then folks spending $30 for that meal are going to be a bit annoyed if you don't go out of your way to apologize and give them some love. When I gave the bartender some feedback (again, polite) about this, he just stared at me with a theatrical sad face and told me he was so sorry. That's it. No manager came out to chat.
