My…read moreoverall experience with Porsche Boise is very different from the high standards I have known over many decades of Porsche ownership. From the beginning, I could not let my Cayenne sit for more than 3 days without the battery dying. The service advisor told me that was the way it was. At her recommendation, I purchased a battery maintainer and had a pigtail installed to make connecting it easier. Over 4 years, I had to replace two lithium batteries. The last one died after 2 days off a maintainer. Finally, I contacted a friend at the Porsche Experience Center who called BS. The battery should maintain a charge for 10-12 weeks without a maintainer, and there was a known problem with the electrical bus in some Cayennes that would cause the battery to die in 3 days. After writing Porsche Corporate, I finally got the attention of the Boise dealership. They kept my car for exactly 4 weeks and appear to have fixed it. They did provide a loaner. What they refused to do was reimburse me for the last battery ($2000) because my Cayenne was 4 weeks out of warranty, even though they admit that a warranted condition caused the battery failure. As to why the service advisor would repeatedly tell me over the course of 4 years it was normal to have a Cayenne die after sitting three days, they remain mum. Usually, in a dealership, the salesman who sells you your car is a resource if issues arise. Not so here. My overall experience in Boise is very disappointing and, in my experience of owning 7 Porsches over the years, very unusual. I can't recommend this dealership

We were greeted by a man named Butch Petersen, who I treated like I do all salesmen - as someone who stood between me and my goal (the perfect car for Devanie). It very quickly became apparent we were dealing with someone who was not your average car salesman, so on a hunch I asked if he was somehow related to my longtime friend Grant Peterson, who I got to know when I was involved with the local Better Business Bureau Board in 1991. (Grant is owner of the Bronco Motors group of car dealerships - the only place I've bought my cars since 2008 because of the honesty and integrity with which Grant operates his dealerships.) Butch's answer changed everything. Turns out Butch's father and Grant's father started Fairly Reliable Bob's together, not primarily as a money making business, but to be able to serve the local community. That is still their mission today. Fairly Reliable Bob's operate with a laser focus on serving their community with excellence and integrity, and everything else takes care of itself. And Butch Peterson was the owner and general manager of Fairly Reliable Bob's - a man who walks the talk. Long story very short, Butch found the *perfect* car for Devanie, answering all her questions to make *her* feel confident as well. He explained some of the many benefits of purchasing a car at Fairly Reliable Bob's, including a repair shop that is run as a not-for-profit company so all parts are charged at cost, hourly rates are less than half of other repair shops, and loaner cars are always free. Butch sent a trailer at his expense to pick up Devanie's trade in (which would not start), gave Devanie a fair deal on the new car, and arranged an unheard of interest rate for someone with no credit by working with a local bank **and having Fairly Reliable Bob's cosign the loan** for her. There are far too many things that astounded me about character and integrity of this business to go into here. I test…read moredrive my vehicle and it drove amazing and everything seemed great.... till it wasn't not even 24 hrs after getting the car the back middle seatbelt had plastic on it so we took it off and they were trying to cover a almost completely cut seatbelt. Then next the check engine light came on, mass air flow sensor. Reached out to them to see if they would fix it. Mind you the way these men spoke to me as a female was absolutely horrible. I was extremely uncomfortable. Then left me without a vehicle stranded in boise for almost 6 hours with 2 children while they "fixed" the seat belt and checked the check engine light. Then when I went to pick it up nobody even spoke to me or told me what they did or were going to do about the other issue. They didnt even put my back seats back together and I had to try and figure that out while wrestling 2 kids. They never reached back out. Now only 2 months after getting the vehicle and having it ran through by mechanics there seems to be way more that was wrong with it that is going to cost me thousands more dollars to fix. I dont understand why people wont just do the right thing and take care of the situation. Clearly these little boys do not know how to do business or treat a woman. Won't ever get my business or anyone I know ever again.

The vehicle was in great shape practically the way it was described on their website. they were very polite, friendly and HONEST. While I was looking over the vehicle before I got under the hood, Ray came out and told me it does have a valve cover gasket leak they just hadn't gotten around to fixing it yet. He told me a couple of small things they did replace and they worked on me with the price since it had that leak. I was glad I trusted the reviews and even living in TX I might buy from them again. The truck was in great to drive back, no issues.
