This nursery has a peaceful and well-organized layout. They had a wonderful selection of popular items including indoor plants, succulents, orchids, fruit trees, flowering plants, and bonsai. Since I am into succulents it was nice to see the variety they had in stock. Only downside is the pricing of these succulents. I also looked at orchid and pondered whether to replace my indoor collection but the pricing was a bit too high for me to justify replacing all my indoor orchid plants. So instead, I picked one new succulent and one beautiful purple orchis and checked out. I also browsed their collection of ceramic planters and seasonal garden decorations to get some inspiration for my own backyard. Overall, service was good. The staff was very knowledgeable about plant care and watering tips and they gave me advice on keeping my succulents and orchids alive. HAHA we will see how they behave in the next few months. In conclusion, good shopping experience here. Will be back here if my new plants need more tender loving care advice!

When I walked in, two employees were standing at the registers talking with each other. Neither acknowledged me, paused their conversation, or even looked up as I entered. I brushed it off at first, assuming they were simply caught up in what they were discussing. I couldn't find the door handle I needed, so I approached one of the employees at the register. He said he would call someone to meet me in the aisle. I returned to the aisle and an older employee walked right past me, made eye contact, and said nothing. When he came back, he looked at me and said only, "Yeah?" in a dismissive tone. I showed him the handle and asked whether it was available or could be ordered. He replied, "It's a special handle, we don't have it," and immediately walked away. The lack of basic courtesy, acknowledgment, or willingness to help was surprising and disheartening. I left feeling unwelcome and judged. I don't like assuming the worst, but the way I was treated -- while wearing a bright pink polo and presenting as an openly gay man -- felt pointed. Whether intentional or not, it was hurtful. Customers deserve respect, professionalism, and at minimum, simple acknowledgment. This experience fell far short of that. Shame on them for allowing this kind of treatment.

Truly a customer service failure and an opportunity for management to not only make things right…read morebut to earn business from the situation. Not only did I not receive the opportunity to speak without being interrupted less only after I start recording a conversation, the entire conversation kept pivoting to benefit the location by having me go through warranty on a mattress that should've never been sold. Or at least should have been disclosed or at least should have been handled when they first were made aware of the problem. Once the location found that their mattresses had fiberglass in it, that the 14 inch mattress was actually only 12 inches with a 2 inch topper around the mattress That I could've just purchased my own topper and would've been seen what was going on with the mattress and the fiberglass and would've not purchased it. $1000 later having been spent on this mattress and not discovering the issues aside from it being a hot mattress but that there was fiberglass in it once the Mattress protector failed. Then upon trying to wash the mattress discovering that it had a topper of 2 inches! So I didn't even get a large mattress that I paid for I got 2 inches in a topper that was hot and I had to take off in order to wash it! At that time I could have called warranty and had them do it but then I would not have been made aware that there was fiberglass! So we were laying on top of fiberglass which is like an like hair and the manager has the audacity to tell me well when it's in it's solid form. Which I'm horrified was the response. In addition, when I requested a refund he stated it's been too long well it was just made known to me that this was fiberglass that I had sat on my dog had sat on and licked and my movers had gotten all over them! I currently am still sleeping on this mattress without the topper on it because it's hot and I have the protector over it and without having several layers of sheets you still get the little hairs that come through. At this point you would think that the manager would say let's bring it back and give you a store credit for a new mattress. He even stated that the mattress materials or the specific mattress that was very popular is no longer being sold. Wonder why?! So after several phone calls and being forwarded to warranty which makes no sense that I would have to go through warranty when it's not a defective item but it's an item that was not disclosed as having any issue. Or that the topper was not part of the mattress! So not only that I feel that I was being taken advantage of at the location, which led me to go with a different mattress and return the base. Especially after they told me that the base would be something that I could move by myself and it was not it was way too heavy. Now I have to deal with this Five years later when I find that the mattress isn't what it was supposed to be that I paid. So unfortunately for the sales people here that could be honest, I would not recommend this location. The manager was definitely not somebody that I would want to speak with again. He was argumentative, condescending, interruptive and was only remotely willing to do anything after I started recording the conversation. He even went as far as to say that nobody is going to care if I post this to let people know about the location that nobody is going to see it. So let's make sure that everybody sees it and that nobody will ever give their business to this location until they start doing business better. I will be contacting corporate and I might even reach out to the legal department based upon the conversation and the lack of capability to remedy the situation amicably.

I then checked the Polywood website, but the pricing was much higher than I expected, so I decided to visit Backyard Expressions instead. They have several locations near me, and I visited two of them before finally choosing the perfect patio set. What impressed me most was their huge selection of styles, colors, and configurations. Not only did they have exactly what I wanted, but their price was also 5% lower than ordering directly from the Polywood website. Sean and Sarah were incredibly helpful throughout the process and took the time to answer all my questions and help me make the right choice. As a pleasant surprise, Jim, the owner, personally delivered my furniture himself. That level of service is hard to find these days. Backyard Expressions is a wonderful family-run business, and I love supporting local family-owned companies. I told him the exact model I wanted and also mentioned that I needed the same base model but with lights. He pointed to a display grill and said, "This one has lights," which I assumed was just showing the feature, not telling me that I would be receiving that exact floor model. We confirmed the model number and accessories,and made the payment. Happily left until I saw the delivered items. What showed up at my house was a used, disassembled floor model in terrible condition. I was never,not once, told that I was buying the display unit. When I ask what happened, Sean told me the discount was "because it's the floor model." That explanation makes no sense because I've bought from them before with a discount and still received new products. A discount does NOT automatically mean the item is used, damaged, or from the showroom, especially if the salesperson never disclosed it. No professional salesperson should assume that pointing at a display grill means the customer has agreed to purchase that exact worn floor model. We were very clear about the model number we wanted. This whole experience made me feel completely misled and very disappointed. I hope management will take this seriously and reach out to resolve it, because this is not the level of transparency or honesty customers expect, especially for a return customer for so many years.
