On a recent visit to the Santa Rosa area for some classic breweries, I met a beer fan who highly recommended Parliament Brewing in an area I had never explored. Turns out other friends have it on their wishlist as well, so I'm glad for making the stop. The brewery is a quick drive off the highway, in an commercial park area with lots of big shade trees and green lawns. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The brewery is beautifully landscaped with big trees, flowers, potted plants, and an outdoor drinking area with umbrella tables which also have warmers for those cooler evenings.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] On the day of our visit, it was extra hot in the afternoon so we went inside. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has a clean and comfy vibe, with high ceilings, cozy lighting, a clear tap list, and nice tables of different sizes around the bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At the back is a merchandise area and restrooms. I love their owl theme, great designs and fun items. The beers were also excellent, I tried a few IPAs mostly sticking with favorite hops and one collab that sounded great. The bartender on our visit wasn't friendly or welcoming at all, and was that way with just about everyone else there. Oh well. I still highly recommend checking this place out for the quality of the beer and a great venue to enjoy it in. read more

We called ahead knowing full well that we'd be arriving just shy of closing with 3 hours of road between us and this amazing brewery. The manager assured us that last call is the listed closing time so we had hope! And boy was it worth every mile of road we traversed! Yum. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A great variety of beer, friendly employees, easy parking, and comfortable welcoming environment awaited us.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lots of games to play also! We only arrived with 15 minutes to spare before closing, but the team there happily allowed us a few different tastings as we settled on which beers we'd like to have. And they didn't kick us out at closing time either! As they cleaned up and shut down shop for the night we were able to hang around and relish every last drop of our beer without feeling rushed. With the Beer Passport 2025, I sure did check off lots of locations during FeBREWary. Parliament was FANTASTIC. I've been buying Kaleidescope in the stores for a while now, and glad to have now experienced the brewery itself. Fantastic brewery. I am embarrassed that I have not reviewed them yet as we have been coming here for years now. The beer is always delicious, and I love that they make tasty seltzers now too. They are dangerously good. I love that they make all kinds of beers, they try it all and are pretty darn successful at it! They have a pretty full calendar of fun activities. I have been to a trivia night (23 teams that Tuesday night) and a fun paint Nite there too. They have good taste in food trucks because it's always something we're looking forward to like War Pigs BBQ or Cousins lobster. We love it here so much that this year we had my husband's birthday gathering on their patio. I called ahead and they reserved a few tables for us. Beer-tenders are all super friendly and hospitable. Parliament makes fantastic beer and I never compliment a brewery. Russian River is fine but I prefer Parliament by a country mile.

Me and my husband stopped in here the other day after driving by it many times saying we want to check it out. I was disappointed there was no food. The bartender let me know they do have food trucks that come by we just came too early. I was shocked at how much I like their Seltzer. It didn't have that gross seltzer aftertaste. They also had a nice sour beer that was called something margarita. They have a huge outdoor seating area and a cute inside bar area. We plan to go back when the food trucks are there. read more

I've been a customer before many times, but this recent incident changed how I see Parliament Brewery. They chose to insert themselves into a highly charged political moment and then handled the backlash poorly. Instead of engaging honestly with upset customers, they turned off comments and removed interaction from people who disagreed with them. That is not accountability. That is control. If a business wants to step into political or social messaging, they should be prepared to listen when customers respond. You cannot claim community values while silencing the community the moment it becomes uncomfortable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Breweries are neighborhood spaces. People go there to relax, not to be dragged into political signaling followed by comment deletion and locked threads.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staying out of politics would have avoided this entirely, and handling criticism transparently would have gone a long way toward rebuilding trust. Until they learn how to engage customers instead of muting them, I will be spending my money elsewhere. read more

In my previous review, I incorrectly said their full pour is 10 fl oz, but I derived this information (incorrectly) from their website (see the attached photo) which gives the impression that a 1/2 pour is 5 fl oz. The actual pour is ~ 360 ml (see photo), or about 12.2 fl oz. A full pour ranges from $7-8, thus the revised per-pint math is $9.18-$10.49, which is slightly better than I had mentioned in my previous review but also still more expensive on average than others. I don't know why we have to use vague terms like "full pour" and "half pour" rather than just saying the amount. It's very clear to anyone that drinks beer that Parliament's pour is a decent amount shy of a pint, so why make us guess? I wish they would be a bit more transparent here. read more

Went to Sonoma for a weekend to check out three breweries and this was my favorite one. They offered a nice variety of beers and the workers were super nice. I don't think it was written anywhere, but the person who helped us said we could do a flight since there were so many we wanted to try. We ended up with Cinderella's Revenge (pumpkin ale), Watermelon Margarita Gose, Sera Cota (kettle sour), and Morning, Meet Afternoon (brown ale). They were all tasty, but the gose was my favorite and it reminded me a lot of the jolly rancher candy. This place has both indoor and outdoor seating and a small collection of board games. Parking was easy as well. Kind of regret not buying some cans to go, but if we ever come back, I'll be sure to swing by. read more

Beer, glorious beer! Unassuming Parliment, hidden away in Rohnert Park behind the Costco is brewing up some tasty treats. They have a great patio and super friendly staff. They also had a food truck (Galvan's Eatery) in case you wanted non-liquid refreshments too. We tried four of their draft beers; Porter, Cal Pils, Prism hazy and Red. I think the Prism was my favorite but they ere all great. By the time we finished our beers and food, Costco had finished rotating my tires and all was right with the world. read more

Lots of doggies and kiddos! Dogs are required to be on a leash, and we always keep Dixie Bell our 10 year old French Bulldog leashed and very close to us. We just wish the same policy was in place for unattended children. They kept running up to her, grabbing on her, and trying to pet her. She's old and has had many back surgeries. We appreciate when those who approach our dog ask first. I'm sure parents would feel the same about their children. They run wild here while parents let loose. Not really our hang. But if you're someone who likes to let your young kids run wild while unattended, this is your spot. read more

To put it simply, this brewery is thoughtful. Thoughtful behind the craft of brewing, thoughtful to the tasting room layout (and during a pandemic), thoughtful down to purse hooks and USB ports everywhere (thank you!), and thoughtful with incredible service and overall atmosphere. My husband and I were visiting from SoCal and the Brewery Manager/owner Adam was very inviting and told us the story behind their brewery. Focus small, build the brand, drink their beer fresh and enjoy! You can taste the quality of their beer and everything we tried impressed us. They have still and sparkling water complimentary on tap. The staff took their time with us so we could try everything and were available if we had any questions. When I went to buy a 4pack to take home, they offered to build a mix pack so we could enjoy more. Hey, that's awesome! Thanks! So not real happy with this place . Was with a group of friends who had scoped it out online from Singapore and wanted to go here because there was bbq food truck schedule to be there that Saturday. It tutns out the bbq truck was there the day before and the fried chicken truck that was there on Saturday had to leave early due to chef hsving a " personal family emergency and refused to serve us even though they had just taken orders. We were not happy with this and chose to leave . Ambiance was okay, typical for a microbrewery. read more

Stopped at Parliament this past weekend. The place is kind of tucked away in a weird location in Rohnert Park. It'll keep this simple...beers were very good. Staff was great/friendly. It was busy, crowded on a somewhat cool Sonoma County winter day. They kept up and knocked out the drinks. The only downside is the inside has limited seating, meaning most of the customers are forced outside. Did I mention already, it was cool and oh, yeah...windy outside? Not the greatest conditions to be drinking cold beer outside. We did manage to get one of the staff members to light to the outdoor heater for us...those things only work so well. I'd love to say I'll be back, maybe on a warmer day. The beer is solid and that'll be the draw. read more

My wife and I were visiting our daughter at SSU and wanted to explore some local beer and we didn't want to trek to Russian River or Lagunitas. Found Parliament on Yelp and couldn't believe it was 0.1 mile from our hotel. What a fantastic find! My go-to is American pale ale or west coast IPA, they didn't have any of the former but plenty of the latter. S'mosaic is a clean, refreshing and piney IPA while the Perched Atop Giants is a DIPA that had a similar pineyness plus herbal notes but didn't have the typical heavy mouthfeel of a double. My wife hates anything hoppy and was quite pleased with the Brown Chicken Brown Cow, nice and toasty yet somehow refreshing. It's a small space indoors with plenty of outdoor seating. We were there around 4pm in a Saturday and it was packed. Good 90s tunes playing along with a food truck outside. Definitely dog friendly as there were pups all around. We sat by the door and at one point the bartender handed me a bag of treats to greet the incoming pups. This place seems to know what they are doing, I would definitely recommend to anyone going to the greater Santa Rosa area and will come back on my next visit to see my daughter. read more

Solid beers, chill vibes. Met up with a friend just after noon on a Saturday and decided to taste a few different beers. Sampled the berry pie sour, everyday kölsch, and breakfast in bed stout. Loved them all, but ordered a full pour of the kölsch as it was nearly 80F degrees out and it was light and refreshing. Great patio seating. All tables are socially distanced and most have umbrellas for shade. I loved that the space is dog friendly. The owners even brought the pups individual water bowls so they could keep cool while their owners imbibed! The owners were friendly and happy to chat about their beers and brewing process. You can tell it's a labor of love! The food truck "War Pigs" was in attendence and we took advantage of their delicious pulled pork sliders and "dirty fries" which are topped with pulled pork and slaw. Will definitely be making a return visit, go check them out! read more
