Went for lunch today after picking my nephew up from camp. We ordered the lavender lemonade, Italian sandwich and the pretzel which was served with mustard and cheese sauce. Both were HUGE and super flavorful. The sandwich came with potato chips (flavor of our choice). We ordered up at the register and went to our table with a number. Food came out relatively quick and the hot things were hot and cold cold. The World Cup was on so that was a nice added bonus to have in the background. I was introduced to Old Caz last year during a wine event (Taste of Sonoma) but never made my way to their tasting room. I followed their journey to the new location and just recently visited the brewery. I cannot say enough about my experience! As luck would have it, we were being helped by the owner and it felt like we were his main focus, despite the long line behind me. Since we are newish craft beer drinkers and just venturing past Coors Light and Blue Moon, he wanted to take time to give us direction on what we might like and why. I could tell clearly he cared about sharing his craft. (I also kept telling him he could help the next person behind me and he just said don't worry about it, let the other staff members help them.) We tried a few samples then ordered our two main choices. Found a spot at one of their beautiful long tables and just enjoyed every bit. I absolutely loved the vibe going on that day. Food truck, music, dogs, families, kids, grandparents, couples, everything. As for the beer itself, it was delicious to drink. So cold, flavorful, smooth. I do know the beer buzz words, but all I can say is ...I'm hooked. I need an Old Caz t-shirt. It is a longish drive out there and that will be my own personal hesitance, but I 100% recommend Old Caz. read more

Since Old Caz opened up their new location, it has become one of my favorite breweries!! They have several different beers on tap, and an afternoon happy hour on weekdays. Their kitchen is open too, but seems to be closed every time we go. There's usually a food truck on site though, so that's nice. Tuesday night trivia is always a blast and they post the questions up, which is super helpful if people get loud or you miss a question. Other trivias around town don't do this, so we appreciate this one! The outdoor seating area is great for all weather, since they have heaters and umbrellas. Old Caz is a great addition to Rohner Park! The taproom is open Tuesdays through Sundays and in addition to offering beer and seltzers, they often have food trucks too. They are located in an industrial area and the parking lot is rather small. I recommend parking on the street. I'm not a big beer person so I enjoy they have seltzers and sours. The seltzers rotate and are always very refreshing. The price is very affordable too. The staff is always super friendly, and they also allow dogs so that is always a win in my book. read more

I took the Santa Rosa Beer Passport FreBREWary shuttle to visit Old Caz for the first time. I always enjoy visiting a new brewery. This has been on my list for some time, just never seem to venture down to RP. That may change after my visit. Pretty typical brewery for Sonoma County...industrial area, surrounded by other businesses. The space is quite nice, a small'ish main area near the taps, a big outside overed area and a small alcove for groups. Upon looking at their calendar, there is a food truck present every day (hours differ). To the most important part...the beer. They gave a pretty good selection. After drinking porters and stouts in my previous stops, I dialed it down and went w/ their pils options. The "hoppy pils" wasn't my style, but the pivo pils was outstanding. I bought a 4-pack for home. Staff was awesome! They were extremely friendly and helpful. The place was busy (not sure if this is the norm or not). We were served promptly and all questions were answered. There seems to be beer options for everyone...lighter pils/lagers, porters, stouts, sours and others. I'm sure I'll be back, especially after I finish off my 4-pack. read more

On this visit I ordered a flight with the following: Haole - Pineapple Hazy IPA; my all time favorite of theirs, so tropical! Lavender Raddler - Kettle Sour; like a lavender lemonade, delish. Orange Crush - Imperial Sour infused with orange juice; tastes like a fresh glass of OJ Berry Rush - Beer Slushy; Super fruity! Which is what ultimately happened to disabled Veteran Hill who came home from war a Wounded Warrior only to be murdered two years later by police sworn to serve and protect. Olsen resigned from the DeKalb County Police Department 25 January 2016. For ten months previous Olsen was on taxpayer-paid administrative leave during investigation. DeKalb Georgia Police Chief Cedric Alexander said Olsen had been carrying less lethal options he clearly had available to him of Taser, police baton and pepper spray that Olsen failed to use as more appropriate for the situation, and never called for medical help for Hill. Olsen was indicted and went to trial. In closing argument prosecution argued Olsen did not follow protocol for using deadly force. The district attorney said that Olsen was charged with making a false statement because he had told another officer during the investigation that Hill had hit him in the chest. The several witnesses disputed Olsen. Jury convicted Olsen of 1 count of aggravated assault, 2 counts of violating his oath of office and 1 count of making a false statement. Jury was composed of 7 women and 5 men, with a racial composition of 5 blacks, 5 whites, 1 Asian and 1 Hispanic. Jury was divided 9 to 3 in favor of conviction on felony murder but to avoid deadlocking they acquitted him of felony murder and convicted him on the remaining charges. I found Old Caz beer on tap at Gerard's Paella Restaurant in downtown Santa Rosa a couple years back and it was delicious. Never heard of it! Talked to the Barkeep who said Casey is his nephew as I remember it. I had talked about it for months then saw it at another restaurant and decided to look them up. Low & Behold it's located just off the main drag in Rohnert Park. You drive to where it is, then go behind the buildings to the LEFT, and you'll see it in a building behind. Otherwise you're thinking why does it say Old Caz Brewery but this boring old building is here. if you do go to the right you have to go about twice as far and you'll come in from behind it. read more

I really enjoy Old Caz beer, they have a very nice variety, I was looking forward to my visit. The brewery is in an industrial area, the parking is bad, they share a small parking lot with I believe a car repair shop. The parking lot is small and was full 30 mins after they opened on a Saturday, we had to park across the street, not ideal at all. The server was very friendly and entertaining. The serving room was kinda small, pre pandemic I would not have cared, but my wife did not like being so close to folks. There is seating outside with heaters. Parking is difficult due to the location so park on the street if it's a popular weekend evening. They have "crowlers" I guess it's called, that they can bottle up for you right there. Cost for one is a bit much considering your only getting 32oz but it is for the "special brews". Typical restaurant prices I guess. Service / people are super friendly and make the experience so much more enjoyable. The place is a bit small but good for a stop on the way home or out of town. Hidden Rohnert Park Brewery tucked away in an industrial part of town. The good, the bad, and the ugly. The good is the variety of beers and friendly staff. The bad is parking might be a problem, but ride a bike or get some steps by walking a few hundred yards in. The ugly is the beer is delicious so prepare for an Uber or a designated driver!
