My husband and I had a sweet tooth yesterday after our evening stroll on the beach , we decided to head to Parlor Doughnuts to satisfy our cravings. We couldn't wait to get the doughnuts home to have with our coffee. We were so disappointed as the Doughnuts were hard,dry somewhat on the stale side like they have been sitting out all day, because they were closed we couldn't head back out for a replacement. I tried calling them this morning 4 times but the phone just rang and then disconnected. We feel cheated, disappointed especially since this was our first visit. People please. If you don't want to work, don't show up at your job. I ordered one donut and a cop of coffee. the total with tip was $9.87. After waiting nearly 20 min I walked out with my donut but not my coffee. The individual making the drinks could not have worked slower. I had to leave. She worked at a snails pace. But I learned something there. Someone with almost no energy can actually stand upright and chew gum. If you want to see this phenomenon, drop in and order a cup of coffee. I'd say find a comfortable seat to sit down and wait but the seats aren't comfortable. Oh and don't bother looking for napkins. All the dispensers were empty. We stopped in Parlor Doughnuts for brekke. The line was extremely long, for some strange reason I wasn't turned off by it the way I normally would be. I wanted to wait and order. It moved quickly enough and service was good. There are so many options here but it wasn't until we reached the counter and I was able to take a closer look did I realize they all seem to have the same base and the flavors are really just toppings. I'd consider these to be more of a cronut than a doughnut. I love doughnuts but these aren't your run of the mill doughnuts. They are basically all their version of "layered" doughnut and exactly the same with different toppings on them. I ordered Sandy Beach and liked it. These seem massive but they aren't super dense. My son and bff had a peanut butter flavor. Dare I say I make better yeast and cake donuts at home??? But I haven't dabbled with making cronuts. Tasty option for a little sweet treat if you're in the area. I wouldn't say you need to go out of your way to try them but if you're nearby they are a nice option. They don't have alternative milk options so I had a drip coffee, it wasn't great so I suppose the waste basket had a drip coffee. read more

We walked in and it took :35 minutes to get JUST 3 coffees. Nothing special. Incredibly SLOW and unapologetic service. Their process is in need of revamping. These are some amazing and unique doughnuts. Imagine an apple fritter but different flavors such as creamsicle, maple and bacon, churro and campfire. The outside is crispy and the inside is pillowy soft. We thoroughly enjoyed the different types we ate. I also liked my coconut latte. When we walked in the line was wrapped all around the parlor, but it went by pretty quickly! Service was fast and efficient. The kitchen was closed so we couldn't get anything from there. They also didn't have the mini raspberry filled doughnuts so we got some of the large ones. We got sandy beach, French toast, turtle cheesecake, strawberry shortcake, s'mores, & churro. Our favorite was the French toast and sandy beach. Honestly, we couldn't tell them apart. I think they gave us 2 of the same one, whatever it was, it was the best! S'mores was also really good!! Came here to pickup some donuts to eat while on vacation! The donuts are huge and freshly made! This location stays busy. The line was long but moved fast. Two adults and 3 children all agreed: good donuts but not worth the 30 minute wait for 4 donuts and an avocado toast. We also ordered 2 coffees and 3 self-serve kids drinks. The total was $40, plus tip. The lack of efficiency affected the experience very negatively. We observed multiple staff members standing around, drinking their own coffee in the barista area, and preoccupied on their phone where they thought they were out of sight. The only person I saw working the whole time was a cook in the back. The drinks were handed to us at the point of sale, the avocado toast came out on its own about 10 minutes after the order was placed (so far so good), but it took 30 minutes to serve us 4 donuts that were ready in the case when we ordered them. I watched 4 staff attempt to fill donuts orders, but they would put one or two in the box and then walk away to do something else or just stand around and eventually return to fill the rest of the box. The place was packed and everyone had the same look on their face: what in the holy donut world is going on here?! Food and coffee was amazing but service needs help. We waited over 30 minutes at the location just trying to pick up our already paid for and ready order. We ordered online and still had to wait in line forever and then tried the drive thru. By the time we got our doughnuts and coffee it was cold, and we were beyond frustrated. They need a better system for online orders and for movement inside the restaurant to make your coffee etc. I likely won't be back because it was too stressful. read more

As locals, we don't go out to many of these places due to crowds. But when we have friends and family in town, hands down the best place to go. The donuts are croissant texture with topping but we love the filled Coconut Cream, the seasonal Banana Cream and Raspberry. We've tried almost every flavor with the number of guests we take there. There is never a complaint. Often we go for breakfast and bring home the donuts. The breakfast sandwiches like the pesto sandwich, the bacon egg and cheese or the sausage egg and cheese on your choice of bread is amazing! The avocado toast is our favorite. G... this was a fancy donut extravaganza. They have a donut for every type of palate. We tried strawberries and cream, bourbon caramel, turtle cheesecake, a seasonal espresso flavored one, lemon bar, and cookies & cream. My personal fav was the espresso one - with a cup of coffee. These are your standard donuts. They melt in your mouth and are super fluffy. You wouldn't come here if you were up for a few extra calories ... this one was fully worth the splurge. We went twice. Both times had quick service and the donuts were tasty! They are croissant texture, which definitely makes them donuts to remember! Both times we went were between 10-12. One time the case was full of donuts to look at and the other time they only had a select few donuts that were already made. Either way we had quick service from those working there. We didn't think the price was terrible (around $3.50 for a donut) which is comparable to what our locally owned donut shops back in Indiana sell theirs for. read more

We are fans. Layered donuts....really good. Pricey....but probably not more than comparable items. It was our first time here so we started with mini donuts to try but did also grab a regular sized French Toast donut as it was labeled as their best seller. We actually ended up liking the mini donuts better as the French Toast was too sweet for us. I looked for a regular sized cinnamon sugar donut, but they only have those in minis. When I asked, they were nice enough to offer to make me one! I am going to take them up on that offer next time I go as we do plan on going back......soon! read more

I was really excited to try out this new place. Stalking them online, they looked absolutely fabulous. The "cronuts" looked amazing, and the various flavors were all tempting. The next morning, I was on my mission... Upon arriving, the parking lot was packed. My bad for stopping by on a Sunday morning - the first morning after the new travelers are settled into their condos (including me). Lesson learned. The line wrapped around the entire inside of the shop, but it moved along just fine, but gave me time to ponder my decisions... I ordered a bourbon caramel, raspberry pistachio, carnival, and blueberry doughnuts. That was more than I needed, but less than I *wanted*. They're not cheap, so I figured I'd start here and buy more later in the week if so tempted. In general, they were just "okay". I was a bit surprised by that, as they LOOKED phenomenal. I thought the flavors would POP more, but the primary flavor was "sugared cronut". I got no bourbon flavor from that one. The blueberry probably had the most flavor. The "carnival" was basically a frosted cronut with sprinkles (not bad, mind you - but "plain" if you're looking for that). For me, a bit pricey for what you get (which falls short of expectations).
