Dear GM, I visited this establishment this afternoon to watch the Norway vs. England match while enjoying a few drinks with my two sons. The place was understandably busy, and there were no available tables. We asked the host if we could stand at one of the side tables (without chairs) and order drinks, and we were told that was perfectly fine. Over the course of our visit, we spent nearly $100 on drinks. We also noticed other standing customers who had borrowed stools so they could sit while eating and drinking. After standing for quite a while, my sons were getting tired. There was an eight-person table that had remained completely empty from the time we arrived until the time we left. Since it wasn't being used, my sons borrowed two chairs with every intention of returning them immediately if the table was needed. A short time later, one of the managers, Edgar, approached us, took the chairs away, and returned them to the empty table. He also removed chairs from another group that had been eating pizza and drinking. When I explained that we were paying customers and simply wanted a place for my sons to sit while we enjoyed our drinks, he responded that there were "other people spending more than you." That comment was disappointing. I understand the need to manage seating during busy events, and I respect that restaurants have policies. However, customer service is also about judgment, flexibility, and making guests feel welcome. The table remained empty for our entire visit, so allowing my sons to use two chairs temporarily would not have prevented anyone else from being seated. I'm sharing this feedback not because of the seating policy itself, but because of how the situation was handled. A little empathy and a more customer-focused approach from management would have made a significant difference in our experience. Our hostess walked us halfway into the dining area then left us for a bit. Throughout the meal too, staff didn't seem fully coordinated, which led to multiple issues. The seating itself wasn't great either, with wobbly chairs and tables. While they do offer gluten free pizza, the menu notes that gluten cross contamination cannot be avoided. Their gluten free pizza is 13 inches, which they refer to as a medium and was good for two people. Our order also came out incorrectly as a margherita pizza, which we didn't order. When we asked about it, the waitress seemed confused and didn't really answer the question. They were also out of the sauces we requested. The perfect amount of dressing and the portion was enough to serve 3. The timing on the pizzas was very good. They showed up just we finished the salad. Wonderful place downtown to grab some drinks and food. Their menu has a lot to offer. We tried their classic sgt pepper pizza and they had an option to make it heart. Very delicious and big enough to share you two people. We also had their calamari which was great and came with 2 really good dipping sauces. Cesar salad was also good and also had fresh croutons. Just came here for a late-ish night dinner. We requested to sit outside because it was extremely loud inside. I like how they have heaters available which we requested to have turned on. We weren't too hungry and we mainly came for drinks so we ordered 2 beers and a Brussel sprouts to snack on. The beer was very cold, crisp, and refreshing. Definitely try it with red chili flakes and oregano to bring it to a whole new level. If you like white sauces pizza and lots of cheese, this is your best friend. I would order this pizza again! The Abe Froman's Fave were our favorite because it was a complex pizza with different flavors and textures. It had sausage, roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella, and spinach. Everything worked so well together perfectly, every bite had something different so it was delectable. Definitely would get this again. Both the crusts of the pizzas were baked to perfection. I ordered a Paloma to start and we also got two pizzas and a BLT. The hot chicken pizza was REALLY good! My kids split a sausage pizza and enjoyed it as well. BEWARE: Unacceptable allergy pre-cautions. I've been to Parlor Pizza multiple times in the past and always had a good experience, which makes this review especially disappointing to write. I have a severe shellfish allergy, and on my most recent visit I learned they've added a shrimp pizza to the menu. Unfortunately, I was told they cannot accommodate a shellfish allergy at all -- they use the same oven and the same pizza cutters for every pizza, meaning there is a high risk of cross-contamination. This is really concerning. A pizza restaurant is typically somewhere people with shellfish allergies would feel relatively safe, so this was unexpected and honestly alarming. To make matters worse, our waitress was dismissive and unhelpful when I asked about allergy precautions. I ultimately wasn't able to safely eat anything there. I'm sharing this to help others with shellfish allergies be aware -- this is not a safe place to dine if you have this allergy. read more
