We're back at one of our neighborhood faves, happy to relax and expecting good food, and we are not disappointed. The place is cozy, especially the rear, and you can eat at the front near the bar and ubiquitous tv if you like that atmosphere. We love the rear. Of course warm Irish soda bread to start, didn't even need butter. He chose the pan roasted half chicken - pure and yummy. Tonight I tried Chicken Hibernia and it's my new go-to. Exquisite poultry perfectly cooked, breast with a wing accompanied by mashed potatoes, a bit of cheese and some perfectly crispy bacon. An odd combination you may think, but it works perfectly. I ordered delivery and I specifically wrote to not ring my doorbell or knock and to leave the food outside my door. I also have a written sign on my door that is very large in case they do not see the note. I have a dog in my household who has a degenerative spine disease and sudden noises startle him which can cause him to rupture his spine. The delivery person ignored not only my special instructions on the delivery but also a written sign on my door and rang my door bell multiple times... Extremely disappointed and may not order from here again because of this. I also spoke to Grubhub and the delivery person is through their restaurant directly. If the person does not speak English who is delivering food, someone from the restaurant who does should make sure they read special instructions before something is delivered... Sometimes words can't explain when you are disrespected buy stuff at your neighborhood place food was decent service absolutely garbage

I sat at the bar and the bartender gave food but never asked me if I wanted anything else not even if I wanted anything to drink - I was at a bar! He delivered my food with a dirty looks and he never asked me if I needed anything. I ate my food, he gave me dirty looks, then laid my bill down without asking if I wanted anything else or anything at all. Sadly the food was good. Just get rid of the bitter bartender and the place would be good. I'd like to add that while writing this review the bartender again didn't ask if I wanted anything, he tried to take my bill and told m he thought I wanted to leave because "I'd had a sip of my drink." I've not said anything to encouraged his poor behavior. I've said yes, no, thank you, waffles, that sort of thing. Being here feels like abuse and I recommend going anywhere else but here. read more

Ambiance was great over all. Cozy and played good music. It was a little dead but everyone that did come eat seemed to have enjoyed themselves. Nice place to mingle. Service was good, gave you time to read over the menu. The starter bread was near hard, and the butter was super cold hard to spread, not my favorite. I got the grilled pork chop, it was cooked well but I think it was missing a little spunk on the flavoring. Rice was good, and the Mac and Cheese was cheesy but it tasted bland if that makes sense. More of the cheesy texture but the flavor was not there had to add salt to at least enjoy it. My man got the short rib special for that night. I was glad that this restaurant had great COVID friendly seating options - as my group and I sat outside since the weather was beautiful for dinner. I got the cheeseburger, and it was pretty average and I asked for medium but it was borderline on rare - way too pink for my liking. I also thought my beer (Stella) was flat. In addition to the average food, I thought our waitress was friendly but once the night winded down and we were 1 of 2 tables left in the whole restaurant, we had to flag her down for the check. I wish the service was better (more checking in on our table; faster with giving the bill), but overall pretty decent place to grab a quick bit to eat and some drinks with friends. read more

Went here for a Thursday night dinner and the place was pretty full, and got a seat right away. Ordered their cheeseburger with blue cheese. Average burger but hit the spot and definitely satisfied my burger craving. Asked for medium and it was more medium-rare, I didn't mind but I'm sure some will. Comes with Cajun fries. I did outdoor dining and they have a very solid set up with lots of seating. Good vibes for outdoor seating and warm weather for sure. Staff was attentive. This place seems to be hanging on by a string. They were almost completely empty so social distancing was no challenge. They said their gas had a problem and were waiting for inspection so had limited menu and I have sympathy for restaurants now and am supporting all local businesses and tipping generously but the food was horrible. It had stale flavor and no presentation. Our waitress disappeared and I saw her having a smoke down the block but no one checked on us for a good half an hour. Also it was quite noticeable that I only took a bite of my food and no mention was made if it was ok. I'm sure it was fun and busy before COVID 19 but these guys need to get with the program. I see a lot of people complaining about stale bad food and bad service so give something if you want to keep going. Probably a good place for a beer but that seems about it, especially with so many choices. read more

I've come here few times already. It's an Irish place so don't expect something different then Irish food which is pretty good at least in this restaurant. Their shepherd's pie and burger are the best. I come for brunch and dinner and most of the time is full, they have nice servers specially Alicia which is super cool and HELPFUL. Ambrose and Colon are the bartenders, both are very nice guys. I didn't rate 5 stars because the place needs maintenance and the light inside is very dark. First and last time getting food here. I was excited to try this place as we've heard good things and it's only a block away from our apartment but we're very disappointed. We called in to see if they could make cheese quesadillas for my girlfriend who is a vegetarian since they only had chicken listed on the menu. They offered to put beans and corn salsa in it, which really appreciated. We ordered a steak sandwich medium rare which came with spicy fries on the menu. We picked up our meal but needless to say the quesadillas were simply cheese, steak sandwich was well done and mostly fat and just regular fries, not spicy. Surprisingly good place for brunch. We sat outside on a warm end of summer afternoon. We ordered off the brunch menu (one item and one free drink). I got fish and chips and Bloody Mary, hubby got a fried chicken sandwich with bud light (either bud or Miller to choose from the free beer). This place screams TRADITION... and looks as though there are still some of the original customers! It's low-key with a music room in back ($25 minimum) and a comfortable front area, also reservable. Neither the beer selection (Irish... like the bar) nor the food selection is spectacular-- though the wings do have a nice kick-- but the atmosphere, and coziness of the place makes up for it. When the delivery man arrived, he called and said he has waited five minutes and rang the doorbell and no one answered, so I went outside to see what the problem was. They will know your name the next time. Most of the staff, manager, bartenders have been there a long time.
