These are large snow cones are definitely able to be shared if you aren't a sweets person. The ice is the perfect texture and it just melts in your mouth. The flavors are very unique and you can always make your own combo as they have plenty of flavors and toppings to create your own sweet treat!. The Brazilian lemonade , pink leche and the viva la Mexico are the flavors I've had so far and they are all really good . Not too much syrup , no clumpy ice!! The ladies that work here love what they do and always have good recommendations if you can't decide what you want. I've only seen them at pop ups and have not been to the physical volcano ice shop so unable to give any insight in that. The portion sizes here are generous and there are goodies that accompany the shaved ice to boot. Thing Two ordered the Flamingo which came with a little floaty pink flamingo (how cute is that). Aside from the deliciousness and fun surprises, the owner of the truck who served us was polite and very patient with Thing Two and I while trying to figure out what we wanted. Its considered New Orleans style "snow balls" if you want to be technical. The owner is from Nola and brought this deliciousness to the Lone star state. Any time anyone mentions snow cones this is the one and only place I will bring them or recommend for them to visit. The ice is soft like butter and retains the flavor of the syrup perfectly. There are so many flavors to chose from as well as addition toppings to add. My daughter loves to add nerds to hers and I add the savory chili powder topping (not sure the name of it). One important thing to note is that this place is cash only, also with summer coming to an end well Texas summer... the hours begin to change and from what I remember they stay closed during the colder season. Guess what choice I opted for? Screech...that's the the sound of my brakes stopping. I turned into a neighborhood strip center where the Sisters SnoShack snow cone truck resides. My server told me the most popular snow cones were (Rainbow - multiple flavors, Hawaiian and Pineapple). Went for the rainbow...Snow cones have completely changed since I was a child. Sno cones used have this crushed ice that you sometimes get with sodas today. The Sisters SnoShack has very smooth ice...very velvety. The juice for the snow cone was robust and enjoyable to eat. Several picnic tables were filled with snow cone connoisseurs. Since it is next door to one of grocery stores we frequent...definitely returning.
