Fantastic fresh and live lobsters!! Would prefer this any day over a restaurant. Staff was so incredibly nice and helpful, explaining the cook time/process, and even letting us borrow lobster crackers and a large pot. I would definitely come back to this place for their fair prices and great service! Blueberry ice cream was also good! read more

This place is amazing. The lobster were fresh and delicious. The girl who waited on us asked if we had crackers and a pot large enough to cook all five lobster. We did not. She promptly grabbed a pot from behind the counter, telling us that we could just drop it by when we were finished with it. Who does that?!! treated us as if we were her family. We returned the pot the next day. We are looking forward to coming back next year. We will definitely be coming to Parsons for our lobster. It was a great part of our family Vacay. This place is a find. Nick at the counter is terrificly friendly and knowledgeable. While I have another course fornfresh lobsters and purchase shellfish and fish fillets here. Been twice now and always been fresh. it's a small outfit so they may not have everything every time but all is super fresh and worth it. Closed on Sunday even though google says different. Thank you Parsons for serving a MDI need for fresh seafood on the island! read more

We come every year and stop by almost everyday for a week! Parsons is a gem...best lobsters and seafood anywhere. Don't forget to get a pie or 2...and the jam...blueberry of course. Service is great! Picked up 4 lobsters and 2lbs of clams for ~$56, went back the next day to grab the blueberry pie. Very fresh and flavorful for what might be the best prices in Bar Harbor. Takeout only and uncooked, this should be your go-to place if you can cook at home! The blueberry pie was $25 and the best of 3 we tried in Bar Harbor, chock full of berries, perfect balance of sweetness, and not cut with too much flour (gives a pasty flavor). The crust is a bit thick but serves to contain the liquid! Family-owned, everyone we met at the counter was incredibly friendly and happy to chat and help. read more

My family & I came in today on our route back to Michigan after a lovely camping trip throughout the Bar Harbor area. Our experience here was above & beyond thanks to the guy working this morning who gave us travel tips for hauling our seafood back in our cooler & even packed it all together in our cooler with ice! Can't wait to cook it up when home. We'll definitely be back on our next future trip to the Bar Harbor area :) 10/10! read more

This place is amazing! Everyone there is super helpful and very friendly. On our first night in Acadia NP we wanted fresh lobster. They gave us a couple of suggestions and told us how to cook it and even let us borrow one of their lobster pots. The next evening we had a taste for fish, so we got a pound of salmon and a pound of swordfish. They gave us recommendations again on how to prepare it, and it was out of this world. Staying in the middle of the woods at our Airbnb and having fresh seafood from Parsons is something our family will remember forever. When I think of top notch small businesses, I will think of Parsons. Thank you Parsons!!! read more

Super friendly guy working the counter! We had never cooled lobster before and didn't really know what we needed -- we got it all the ingredients from here including a pot they let us borrow for the night! Nick helped us pick out the right amount of lobster and wow was it so tasty! Really great prices for getting 6 lobster! Definitely come here if you're looking to cook some seafood at home! Locals fish market! Amazing fresh seafood! They don't cook here, just sell raw. Came here to pick up some fresh seafood and my belly was very happy. They had steamed lobster meat that was super fresh and was $65/lb. I got half a pound and that was plenty to snack on. Also got these large fresh raw scallops and omg they were sooo delicious. You can taste the quality and freshness of the seafood!! The staff were super nice and helpful, locals owned family shop. Definitely support these guys! Highly recommend! read more

The nicest and most helpful staff. Went with my mom (an executive chef) and got 8 lobsters and the freshest cod! We also got 6 lobsters later to take for an event my mom was also doing in Maryland. They packed them up with such care in a cooler with seaweed and ice. They gave us instructions for handling. The lobsters all made it and were delicious a day and a half later. The quality and care this market continues to have every year we visit is unmatched. read more

This place is great! Bought 2 dozen oysters and 8 small Lobsters to make some lobster sandwiches! Total was a whopping $109 but it was definitely worth it! They had some pies on the menu but they ran out, hard to predict during a time like this! I would recommend this place for all your fresh seafood needs! read more

This is a fresh seafood market. It was obvious that the locals shop here. The lobsters were excellent and reasonably priced. For the non lobster people (fools that they are) we purchased salmon which was equally delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. I highly recommend this business read more

Great fresh lobsters, and the friendliest people you'll ever meet. They let my kids pose with the lobsters, told them about the biology of lobsters, and even let us borrow a lobster pot so we could cook them over our campfire. I'm from Oklahoma but I'm pretty sure it's worth the drive out there to visit again. read more

The place isn't bad, and staff were pretty nice but they don't wear masks at all! Additionally, I pre-ordered 12 large lobsters, I went to pick them up the next day.When I arrived,they packed them in a Styrofoam box for me with seaweed and ice packs and told me it would last for 36 hours. I drove back home to NY, and when I opened the box, realized they only gave me 10 lobsters!! I was so disappointed. The lobsters tasted so good tho read more

A friend who visited last season recommended Parson's, close to Bar Harbor, as a great fish market. Yes, the fish is very good. But it really creeped us out that the staff behind the counter was unmasked in the midst of the COVID19 pandemic. Handling food and dealing with customers without masks? Is that a political statement? Lack of knowledge that that is dangerous behavior? Neither likely answer is good. Parson's would be well-recommended if they followed recommended state and federal safety guidelines for food handlers. read more

So glad we took a chance and stopped in since we couldn't tell if they were open. Once inside the steady stream of customers told a different story. The steamers were clean and fresh. The lobsters were sweet and tasty. Prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. Even convinced us to try one of their homemade whoopie pies. Can't wait to visit again when we're in Maine. read more

We were visiting from NJ and called to arrange bringing home some lobsters. We were told to get there right before they closed on Friday so they could pack so that we could eat the lobsters on Saturday night after traveling home to NJ. Boy, they did an amazing job- when we got home to NJ the lobsters cold and delicious. The prices were very reasonable as well. My one regret is that I did not know about Parsons Lobsters until the end of our vacation. I would highly recommend Parsons. Thank you guys read more

We stopped here to buy some fish to grill at our cabin. We were surprised with the prices compared to back home in a good way. We settled on a dozen steamers and halibut steak. After driving by this business for years, we finally stopped. Parsons has an excellent selection of very fresh fish , but what we enjoyed most this summer was their cooked shrimp. Tasty and plump, they are delicious. Excellent for an easy dinner or snack, we stopped by several times. There is a great selection of seafood, but somehow we just got hooked on those shrimp! Staff here purposefully doesn't wear masks or enforce mask wearing in their tiny shop while handling food / dealing face to face w scores of customers a day in a busy, densely populated tourist spot Bcs they seem to think CV is a hoax (they were actively discussing that when I was standing there) Need I say more? Just thought I should warn ppl before they go here rather than reporting a small business I used to support to the state. Grow up, Parsons. read more

Reservations are limited, but they accept lots of walk-ins; prepare to wait a bit. While the restaurant is large enough, they also offer outdoor seating on comfy picnic tables with umbrellas. If you don't feel like waiting, they have a cafe where you can order the legendary popovers. Parking can be very tricky, but there are connected parking lots if you're willing to schlep a bit. Despite it being Labor Day, we only had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated for lunch. They have a great gift shop next door that you can browse while you wait. Plenty of Acadia and Maine merch, including popover mix. Our table was outside, which was great for the sun and warm weather, plus a beautiful view of Jordan Pond and the Bubbles, but unfortunately, there were so. many. bees. They warned us about the bees ahead of time, but at times they were a bit much. Our waiter recommended not getting jam with our popovers to avoid attracting the bees, and they're just not as good with just butter. Service is fantastic, despite it always being so busy. Our server was from Germany, and was exceptionally friendly and attentive. The menu is pretty expansive for a national park restaurant, and isn't too pricey for something a bit more upscale. They have plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and GF options, so there's something for everyone. My partner ordered the vegan veggie wrap and thought everything was super fresh. While I was very tempted by the New England Baked Haddock, I opted for something lighter and ordered the house salad and the vegetable chili. The house salad was perfectly dressed and fresh, and the chili was hearty without being overwhelming. Totally filling! Some might find the restaurant to be a bit overrated, but I think it's worth visiting once. Or at least grabbing some popovers to go. Get the jam!

OMG!!! We went twice in a week because this place was so good. Let's start with the pièce de…read morerésistance: lobster nachos. Beyond good -- I was enjoying myself immensely when I saw the little place container in the middle, a tomato sauce which was next level good. The lobster dinner, the fish & chips, and the lobster bisque in the sour dough bread bowl were fabulous. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the gluten free bun on the lobster roll, but otherwise wow! Even the homemade potato slices were great. The ice cream in the boat afterwards when you have no space; all I can say is that you'll find a way. The outside has fun lawn games, and there are heaters amongst the picnic tables. However, it was quite chilly the second visit and we opted to sit inside. The servers were all amazing -- fast, charming, and clearly bought into the location. And I bought their zip up sweatshirt the second time because I want to remember this place!
